예술융합 프로세스를 적용한 공간디자인 교육 모형에 관한 연구 -이미지와 언어 연계과정을 중심으로-

오늘날 초연결망 사회는 다학제적인 학문 간 융합에 의한 통섭적, 통합적 사고로의 전환을 요구한다. 따라서 미래 교육의 향방은 총체적인 관점으로 문제들을 이해하고 융합적인 방법으로 해결책을 모색하려는 방향으로 전개될 전망이다. 예술 분야 또한 다양한 장르 간 융합을 실험하고 훈련하는 교육프로그램 확대가 절실하다. 이와 같은 맥락에서 본 연구의 목적은 예술융합 프로그램의 방법을 모색하고 실험함으로써 미래지향적이고 창의적인 디자인교육 프로그램을 제시하는 데에 있다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 배경을 바탕으로 하여 공간디자인 수업을 통해 예술융합 프로그램에 대한 실험을 수행한 내용과 방법에 대한 것이다. 본 연구의 내용으로서 우선 2장에서는 예술융합의 도구로 사용되는 이미지와 언어에 대한 이해를 통해 상호상관성과 특성을 고찰한다. 3장에서는 앞서 고찰한 이미지와 언어 연계에 의한 예술융합 프로그램을 소개하고 그 방법을 제시한다. 4장에서는 공간디자인 수업을 통해 예술융합 프로세스를 적용한 공간디자인 결과를 도출한다. 이를 위한 연구 방법으로는 우선 예술융합의 수단인 이미지와 언어에 대한 고찰을 통해 예술융합 단계의 준거를 마련한다. 다음, 이미지와 언어의 지각과정, 사고과정, 기억과정을 기반으로 한 예술융합과정의 여섯 단계를 설정하여 음악과 미술이 융합된 공간디자인이 도출되도록 한다. 결론적으로 학습자가 단일학문 범주에서 공간디자인 과정을 수행했던 것과 비교하였을 때 본 프로그램을 통하여 예술적 사고와 표현이 확장되는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 이와 같은 교육적 계기와 모형을 제시하였다는 점에 연구의 의의가 있다. Today’s hyper connected society demands a shift of thought toward consilience and consolidation by converging multidisciplinary field of learning. Tomorrow’s education tends to be directed toward understanding the problems in holistic perspectives and seeking the solutions in harmonized methods. Therefore, it is necessary in the arts education to experiment various ways of convergence in different fields and to expand the educational program for advanced training. This research aims to seek and search a methodology of convergence in arts program and to suggest futuristic and creative design program. This research begins with these backgrounds and it is the result of arts convergence in the space design class. Chapter 2 focuses on the characteristics and connectedness between images and languages in art convergence. Chapter 3 introduces a methodology of art convergence program linking images and languages and suggests a way to utilize it. Chapter 4 draws a design conclusion applied by art convergence process. Research method reaching the conclusion is to analyze the constituent parts of art convergence, image and language and to set the standard for the following steps. It includes six steps based on perceptual process to the image and language so that the space design can be constructed after music and art converged. Conclusively this research hypothesizes that learners could experience the expansion of artistic understanding and expression in space design process, compared to individual and independent studies. The significance of this research lies in proposing an educational motivation and setting a model with a method of convergence in space design.

오늘날 지구생명계는 예측할 수 없는 자연재해들을 일으키며 인류의 생존을 위협하고 있다. 이는 인간과 자연이 수평적인 네트워크 시스템으로 가동될 때에만 지구생명계가 다시 회복될 수 있음을 의미한다. 이와 같은 관점에서 국제에너지기구(IEA)를 필두로 하는 친환경정책은 이제 모든 국가가 간과할 수 없는 매우 중대한 이슈라 할 수 있다. 이와 같은 그린트렌드 가운데 디자인 분야 또한 낡거나 폐기처분의 위기에 놓인 물품에 독창적인 디자인을 더해 원래의 제품보다 더욱 가치있는 명품으로 창조하는 업사이클링 디자인이 대세이다. 유럽과 미국 등지에서 시작되어 친환경 소비패턴을 이끌고 있는 업사이클링 디자인 분야는 우리나라에서도 선두기업들이 등장하며 새로운 소비문화를 주창해 나가고 있다. 본 연구에서는 오늘날 세계적인 트렌드로 급부상하고 있는 업사이클링 디자인의 특성들을 고찰하였다. 업사이클링 디자인의 특성은 첫째, 오리지널 오브제와 그 역사성을 핵심요소로 하는 스토리텔링. 둘째, 예술성과 희소성에 의한 매뉴얼 아트. 셋째, 형태전환, 기능전환, 의미전환, 장르전환에 의한 트렌스포머. 넷째, 가용성과 지속가능성을 강화하는 물질의 순환 등으로 요약된다. 이에 연구자의 수 년 간의 업사이클링 작업과 교육결과물들을 작품사례로 하여 업사이클링 디자인 특성을 분석하였다. 그 결과 연구자의 작업뿐 만 아니라 대부분의 업사이클링 디자인은 역사성을 지니며 제품의 형태 및 속성이 전환됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 예술성과 희소성이 매우 높으며, 가용성과 지속가능성이 매우 증가된다는 사실도 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 폐기물 제로(zero)를 목표로 하는 업사이클링 디자인이야 말로 지속가능한 사회를 가능케 하는 창조적인 대안이 될 것으로 기대한다. Today`s earth life system brought about unpredictable natural catastrophes and endangers the survival of human beings. It means that the eco system can be restored only when the human beings and the nature operate their network system at the horizontal level. In this regard, eco friendly policy spearheaded by IEA (International Energy Agency) becomes important issue no country can overlook. Upcycling design, out of green trends is major trend which is creating finer masterpieces from old worn out stuffs with infusion of creative design. In Korea, some companies with this concept followed by European and North American companies promote this new consumer trend. In this study, the researcher investigates today`s global trend of Upcycling design pattern and their elements. The Upcycling design is made up of storytelling based on original object and its historicity, manual art on artistry and scarcity, transformer with the switchover of form, function, meaning and genre, and material circulation, intensifying solubility and sustainability. The cases are analyzed on the researcher`s artwork and teaching results over the years. In due course, the researcher noticed that most of Upcycling design has its historicity through functional and genre transformation. Through the process, artistry, scarcity, solubility and sustainability are increased. Therefore, it is expected that the Upcycling design, targeting zero untreated waste, is the creative alternative that enables the coexistence between the nature and the human beings into sustainable community.
