한국놀이〈우리 집에 왜 왔니〉와 일본놀이〈하나이치 몬메はないちもんめ〉와의 관계 연구

어린이 놀이〈우리집에 왜 왔니〉는 교과서에 수록되어 있어 초등학교에서 저학년들이 즐겨 노는 놀이 중 하나이다. 도구가 필요 없고 실내나 실외에서 적당한 공간만 확보되면 언제 어디서나 쉽게 놀 수 있기에 교사들도 어린이 놀이로 권장하고 있고 50~60대 어른들은 어렸을 때 놀았던 추억의 놀이로 기억하고 있다. 그런데 이 놀이가 일본의〈하나이치 몬메はないちもんめ〉라는 놀이가 일제강점기 때 들어온 것으로 놀이의 유래는 일본문화가 숨어있는 인신매매의 내용을 담고 있다는 내용을 듣고 이에 관련된 자료를 찾아 정리하였고 초등학교 교과서에는 이와 비슷한 일본놀이가 27개 수록되어 있다는 것을 알고 교육부에 그 사실을 알리는 과정에서〈우리집에 왜 왔니〉는 우리나라 전통놀이라는 의견이 나와 그것이 아님을 증명하고 일본이 문화말살 정책으로 우리 놀이를 못 놀게하고 일본놀이만 놀게 하였는데 해방 후 이것을 제자리로 돌려놓지 않아 초등학교 교과서에 일본 전승놀이가 그대로 수록되어 있음을 알리는 연구 논문이다. Children’s Play 〈Why Did You Come to My House〉 is included in the textbook and is one of the games that low-grade students enjoy playing in elementary school. It doesn’t need any tool and if a proper space indoors or outdoors were secured, it can easily be played anytime, anywhere. Therefore, teachers also recommend as children’s play, and adults in their 50s and 60s remember it as a memory play when they were young. However, 〈Why Did You Come to My House〉 was influenced by〈Hanaichi Monmeはないちもんめ〉in Japan. It was introduced at Japanese colonial era and includes the content of human trafficking. The elementary school textbook contains 27 similar Japanese games. 〈Why did you come to my house〉proved that it was not a traditional Korean game, although there was an opinion that it was a traditional Korean game. Japan prevented us from playing Korean games due to its cultural extermination policy and only allowed us to play Japanese games, but they were not returned to their original place after the liberation, so Japanese games were left included in elementary school textbooks.

어린이들이 즐겨 노는 놀이『무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다』는 나라 꽃 무궁화를 소재로 하기 때문에 우리 고유의 전통놀이로 알고 있다. 그러나 이 놀이는 일본 놀이『다루마상가 고론다( だるまさんがころんだ)』를 우리 말『무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다』로 바꿔서 부른 일본 놀이이다. 일제강점기 때, 일본은 내선일체(內鮮一体)를 부르짖으며, 우리 말과 글을 쓰지 못하게 하고, 일본 말과 일본 글만 쓰게 하니, 우리 노래와 놀이가 자연히 사라지고 그 자리에 일본 노래와 일본 놀이가 자리잡았다. 그래서, 이때, 놀게 된 일본 놀이들이 그대로 굳어져 대를 이어 추억의 놀이로 이어지게 되었고, 심지어 초등학교 교과서에 수록되어 자랑스러운 우리 전통놀이로 어린이들이 배우고 있다. 일본 놀이만 놀아야 하는 시대에 민족 의식을 깨우치기 위하여 일본 놀이『다루마상가 고론다(달마가 넘어졌습니다, だるまさんがころんだ)』에『무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다』를 넣은 사람은 남궁억이다. 그는 무궁화 보급 운동을 진행하다 일경에 발각되어 옥고를 치른 애국지사로, 어린이의 마음에 무궁화를 피우기 위하여, 당시 유행한 일본 놀이를 이용한 것이다. 교과서에 수록되어 있는 많은 일본 놀이를 역사적 사실과 함께 아이들에게 알려주어 나라를 빼앗기면 놀이도 뺴앗긴다는 사실을 알려주어야 한다. Among children’s games, “Mugunghwa has bloomed” is known as our own traditional game because it is based on the national flower, the Mugunghwa. However, “Mugunghwa has bloomed” is a Japanese game sung by changing the Japanese play “Daruma Sanga Goronda” to the Korean word “Mugunghwa has bloomed”. During the Japanese colonial period, Japan prohibited the use of Korean language and writing. Also, traditional songs and games disappeared, and Japanese songs and games took their place. So, at this time, the Japanese games that were played have been passed down as memories. Even included in elementary school textbooks, children are learning with our proud traditional play. On the other hand, it is Namgung-eok who put “Mugunghwa has bloomed” in the Japanese play “Daruma Sanga Goronda” to awaken national consciousness. Namgung-eok was discovered by the Japanese police while carrying out a campaign to spread Mugunghwa. It used a popular Japanese play at the time to put the Mugunghwa in the hearts of children. It is necessary to find many Japanese games included in textbooks and accurately inform them that they are Japanese games. And we must let them know that if the country is taken away, the play is also taken away.
