During the high speed train operation in the conventional line, it was found to have extremely severe flange wear, due to the curvy routes. This paper looks at the actions that have been taken to bring the wear to an acceptable level. In particular, it have been presented for flange wear variation depending on curve radius, cant, transition curve length by using numerical method. And the impacts on the flange wear by the application of stick type solid lubricant are also presented.

Before the complete construction of new high-speed line between Seoul and Pusan, KTX is going to operate on both new high-speed line between Seoul and Daegu and electrified conventional lines between Daegu and Pusan. Then, the wheels of KTX are going to operate on various rails such as KS50N and KS60 of conventional line as well as UIC60 of high-speed line. Also, conventional line will have a mixed traffic mode with various types of trains operating on it, such as Saemaul and Mugunghwa. Hence, this study reviews the wear phenomena of wheels and rails in geometrical point of view by comparing their profiles. The analyses of the results show that because UIC60 rail is designed for KTX, KS50N rail whose profile is similar to that of UIC60 will not have any impact on the shape of wheel wear. On the other hand, KS60 rail is expected to have partial wear on both the flange of KTX wheel and the gauge corner of the rail in the initial stages. However, the operation of the trains whose wheels have 1/20 conicity will cause partial sidewear on the inside of the rail and the movement of the contact point between KTX wheel and the rail toward the inside of the track. As a result, the flange wear of KTX wheel will be reduced and the formation of wear-equilibrium profile will be faster.

In tread brake of freight cars, brake force is produced by the friction between the wheel and the brake shoe. Friction coefficients associated with the brake power, weight variation and brake shoe types should be sensitively treated as the design parameters. The conditions of the car, empty and loaded, should also be taken into consideration in brake force design and the control of brake force has some limitations in terms of the brake system design so that the brake friction materials selection should be considered as important measures to solve that difficulties. Friction characteristics of brake friction materials should remain within the range of maximum and minimum value and the friction performance should remain stable regardless of brake time and temperature. This study presented an experimental evaluation method to secure optimum brake performance by keeping safe brake effect and brake distance by the friction coefficient of the brake shoe of the freight cars.

도시철도차량은 매일 영업운행 종료 후 차량기지로 입고하여 입고점검을 시행하고, 주기적으로 각종 기기의 청소 및 소모품 등의 교환을 위해 일상검사를 시행하고 있다. 최근 운영기관의 경영합리화를 위해 입고점검은 생략하고 일상검사만 시행하는 운영기관에서 운행 중 중대장애 발생사례가 증가하여 2020.12월 입고, 출고점검 중 하나를 반드시 시행하도록 철도차량 정비 기술기준을 개정하였다. 본 논문에서는 과학기술의 발전에 따라 전동차의 내구성과 신뢰성이 증대되었음에도 저항형전동차 검사주기에 머물러 있는 VVVF전동차의 입고점검과 일상검사의 점검항목, 작업량, 고장발생 등을 분석하여 효율적인 유지보수 검사주기 개선안을 제시하고자 한다. Urban railway vehicles are inspected by wearing them at the depot after the end of business every day, and are regularly inspected for cleaning various equipment and replacing consumables. Recently, in order to streamline the management of the operating organization, we have omitted arrival inspections and only carry out daily inspections. Revised the technical standards for maintenance of railway vehicles to implement. In this paper, the durability and reliability of trains are improved according to the development of science and technology. We will analyze the occurrence of failures and propose an efficient maintenance inspection cycle improvement plan.
국내 전동차의 직선구간과 곡선구간에 따른 동적 시뮬레이션 승차감 평가

철도차량의 승차감은 승객의 안락도를 평가하는 척도이다. 국내 도시철도는 직선과 여러 곡선구간으로 이루어져 있다. 하지만 신조차량을 제작 시에는 형식승인과정에서 차량에 대한 직선구간의 승차감 평가만 적용되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 국내 도시철도차량의 승차감 시험환경에 따라 동적 시뮬레이션으로 직선구간에 대한 승차감과 직선구간의 승차감 방법을 적용하여 곡선구간의 승차감 평가하고자 한다. The ride comfort of a railroad car is a measure to evaluate the comfort level of passengers. Domestic urban railways consist of straight lines and several curved sections. However, when manufacturing a new vehicle, only the ride comfort evaluation of the straight section of the vehicle is applied during the type approval process. Therefore, in this paper, the ride comfort in the curved section is evaluated by applying the method of riding comfort in the straight section and the ride comfort in the straight section through a dynamic simulation according to the riding comfort test environment of domestic urban railway vehicles.
