이관용의 사상 발전과 현실 인식

Lee Gwan-Yong formed his own philosophy and worldview through his time studying abroad in Europe. In his PhD thesis, he considered willpower as an independent element from perception and emotions. He believed that Koreans under Japanese colonial rule could recognize the independent movement for the nation’s liberation through their willpower. Based on Kant’s philosophy, he interpreted all human activity as the will of god. He also described the willpower’s mechanism based on Kant. Lee tried to overcome the practical difficulties of colonization based on his philosophy. This optimistic vision made his position evolve to look at the identity of the nation positively. He argued that Koreans should accept Western civilization. After returning home, he regarded Socialism as a selectable alternative for the reform of Korean Society. This represented a rather big ideological transition, as he had criticized both capitalism and communism as materialisms during his studies in Switzerland. Lee formed a critical perspective of bourgeois democracy while visiting Soviet Russia and Europe as a Dong-A Ilbo correspondent. On the other hand, his real socialism analysis was not accurate: he only took note of the ideal aspects of real socialism. After his Soviet journey, he promoted solidarity between the capitalist camp and the communist camp in Korea through Shinganhoe activities. In 1928, he faced China’s Nationalist Revolution as a Chosun Ilbo correspondent. Eventually, Lee expected to reform society through youth and the development of the higher education system.

In the 2015 revised Korean curriculum, media studies is independent from other Korean elective subjects, and has been combined with grammar studies into the new elective subject Language and Media. Moreover, the title ‘grammar’ has been changed to Korean. The problem is that the new curricular focus is on spoken and written media language. Media language is very different in its form, usage, and pragmatic features from typical language. That means that in a Words and Media textbook, the grammar changes dramatically beyond simple descriptive grammar. In this study, we therefore aimed to develop several ways to incorporate media language in ludee, wevery different is. For this, we studied Reading and Grammar textbooks produced shortly before the new Korean curriculum and investigate the media language therein. We then explored ways of treating and including media language according to the outcome standards in the revised Korean curriculum. Three key findings emerged from the study. First, we note that many words that pass the bounds of typical concepts of words or parts of speech were included in the research. If media language is included in definitions of grammar, it is necessary to consider words that consist of just one consonant or mark. Second, we suggest extending word formation methods from one simple word to several derivation and compound words, like in the case of nubi, a video about Korean traditional clothes. Especially, new coinages are used for studying about various word formation ways apart from derivations or compounds. Last, we examine close meaning shifts or expansion appearing in media language. The implications of the study include clues as to ways of integrating grammar and media language in Korea’s Language and Media textbooks.

딥러닝 기반 CFAR 알고리즘의 오경보 확률 조절을 위한 손실함수 설계

본 논문은 딥러닝(deep learning) 기반 레이더용 CFAR(constant false alarm rate) 검출 기법에서 오경보 확률(false alarm probability)를 조절할 수 있는 조정 계수(scale factor)를 포함하는 정규화 항을 도입한 새로운 손실 함수(loss function)를 제안한다. 제안된 손실 함수를 사용하여 다양한 딥러닝 기반 CFAR 검출기법의 오경보 확률을 조절할 수 있음을 확인하고, 딥러닝 기반 CFAR 검출 기법이 SNR(signal-to-noise)의 변화에 상관없이 오경보 확률이 거의 일정하게 유지되는 CFAR 의 기본 특성을 만족시키는 것을 확인하였다.

1930~40년대 서물동호회(書物同好會)의 활동과 조선(朝鮮) 인식

Shomotsu-Doukoukai (書物同好會, the Book Club) was founded in 1937. Leaders of the Chosen-Toshokan-Genkyukai (朝鮮圖書館硏究會, the Korean Library Research Organization) created the club and inherited the Japanese’s Korean Studies activities. Their research was very active at a time when the Korean Studies Movement was in recession. They issued a total of 20 Newsletters, and published 11 special booklets and 3 postcards. The Book Club``s Japanese members wrote numerous articles on the history and folklore of Korea, particularly about Korean bibliography. They categorized the Korean boundaries with reference to “Korean” Books. Meanwhile, while some tried to understand the Korean people through the folklore of Korea, many criticized the pre-modern Korean society and regarded Korea as a stagnant society. They viewed Korean history in the context of the relationship between Korea and China, and criticized the tribute system. At the same time, they doubted the independent capability of Korea. As a result, they saw Chusa Kim Jeonghui as a leading figure who had actively adopted the Qing dynasty``s Chinese Civilization. On the other hand, they valued their elder Japanese``s Korean Studies very highly. However, despite this high consideration, they had a tendency to distance themselves from their seniors as the latter were not educated and had not worked in the official academy. The Korean members were united together regardless of their academic genealogy, primarily competing with Japanese members through scientificresearch in the field of bibliography. They also brought their own “interpretation” to their Korean Studies, and ultimately wanted to establish the Book Club as a base for Korean Studies.

워크스마트 및 협업을 위한 스마트워크센터 공간구조의 탐색적 연구

본 연구는 스마트워크센터의 물리적 환경에 대한 선행연구가 부족한 가운데 공공 및 민간부문의 사례분석을 통해 현행 공간구조의 문제점을 도출하고 개선방안을 제시하였다. 사례분석결과, 스마트워크 센터가 원거리 협업을 강조하고 있음에도 불구하고 실제로는 개인중심의 전통적인 스타일의 격리된 공간구조를 유지하고 있음이 발견되었다. 또한, 근무커뮤니티 형성을 촉진하는 공간결여와 원격 협업공간의 형식주의적 운영 등의 문제점이 파악되었다. 스마트워크센터가 단지 고급 PC방이나 임시출장소가 아니라 온오프라인 협업과 지식활용을 통한 구성원의 스마트 업무역량을 견인하는 새로운 일터가 되기 위해서는 업무수행에 있어 발상의 전환과 유연한 사고를 유도하는 공간구조의 혁신이 필요하다. 이는 전통적인 형태의 딱딱한 공간설계와 배치를 통해서는 기존의 고정된 업무처리 관행과 사고에서 벗어나기 어렵기 때문이다. 향후 스마트워크센터의 공간 혁신이 센터 이용율, 업무수행에 있어 창의성의 발현, 조직구성원의 만족도 등에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 활발한 연구가 필요할 것이다. Despite a growing body of literature about smart work centers, no scholarly attention has been paid to their spatial architectures in the area of e-government research. This research explores how to improve spatial structures of smart work centers so that they can facilitate business efficiency and collaboration among workers. Conducting in-depth interviews and field observations on the selected cases, we collected and analyzed data on physical spaces of smart work centers in public and private sector organizations. Findings suggest that the centers under study provide traditional style office designs, which are characterized by isolated and individualized spaces that do not facilitate distant collaboration and mutual interactions among workers. It is also found that they are lack of shared spaces to foster random, informal contacts among smart workers for social networks and community. For smart work centers to be useful for promoting work competency through online and offline collaboration and knowledge sharing among workers, it is required to innovate their spatial structures to encourage smart workers’ flexible thinking processes. It would be difficult to change existing business practices and typical ways of performing tasks, without changing the centers’ bureaucratic spatial designs and layouts. Future studies are warranted to examine how spatial architectures of smart work centers have impacts on center utilization, work creativity, and worker`s job satisfaction.

본 논문은 레이더에서 고스트 표적(ghost target) 탐지를 위해 기존 레이더, 라이다를 이용하는 멀티모달 딥러닝(multimodal deep learning) transformer 모델을 발전시켜 레이더, 라이다, 카메라를 이용하는 새로운 멀티모달 딥러닝 모델을 제안한다. 제안된 딥러닝 모델에서 카메라, 레이더 및 라이다의 융합(fusion) 방법을 제안하고 제안된 딥러닝 모델이 기존 딥러닝 모델보다 향상된 성능을 보임을 확인한다.

저탄소제품의 온실가스 감축효과 분석

A greenhouse gas emission reduction effect of “Low-Carbon Products” which are the second scheme of Korean carbon footprint labeling has been analyzed from 2011 to 2015 in this study. The reduction effect is calculated by subtracting the low carbon product from the first carbon emission which shows the reduced emission value of product and then multiplying by the sales of the products. The total number of the low-carbon products is 231 and its estimated reducing GHG effect totals 3.44 Mt CO2-eq. This equals to an annual absorption of approximately 520 million 30 year old pine trees and an annual emission of about 1.43 million vehicles. In addition, it is evaluated that the cost effectiveness of a low carbon product labeling program is more than 50 times than that of carbon trading schemes in Korea. Both the government and companies should develope and apply various policies to invigorate the program of low carbon products.
