The exhaust noise occurs when the exhaust gas generated from the automobile engine is transmitted to the air through the exhaust system and the tail pipe. This kind of exhaust noise have a great effects on the inside and outside noise of the automobile. Designing a automobile muffler make importance of muffler performance such as transmission loss but it is difficult to develop a muffler considering only a transmission loss. In this study using the GT-Power, the gasoline engine-model noise analysis program, we analyzed the exhaust sound and back pressure followed by the shape condition of inlet pipe of the muffler. Expecting the exhaust noise using this noise analysis program can cut costs and curtail the developing period of the muffler.

The reattachment lengths of the Non-Newtonian fluid are investigated in the sudden expansion pipes whose ratios are 2.316 and 3.368, and the range of the Reynolds numbers is 100- 30000. The reattachment lengths for the viscoelastic fluid in the laminar flow region are found to be much shorter than those of the Newtonian fluid. and decrease significantly with the increase of the concentration of viscoelastic fluid at the same Reynolds number. In the turbulent flow region, the reattachment length for the viscoelastic fluid is two or three times longer than those of water, and gradually increases with the increase of the concentration of viscoelastic fluid.

Flow and heat transfer characteristics in a horizontal electronic circuit board are studied numerically. The board has the arrays of heated blocks and the spaces between the plates and blocks are changed.<br/> Air is used as cooling fluid, of which prandtl number is 0.7. The velocity distributions, temperature distributions, Nusselt numbers and dimensionless friction factors are obtained on the spaces between the plates and the blocks, for the cases of Rayleigh number, 0 and 1O^5. When Rayleigh number is so large, such as 10^5, that the effect of bouyancy is not negligible, fluid friction and heat transfer is increased more than those of forced convection. This may be caused by the generation of secondary flow on the cross section of primary flow. The effect of bouyancy is of the most efficient, when the space of blocks is about block-width and the space of plates is about 1.7 times of block-height.

According to the recent increase of NSAID-uses, the possibility of the occurrence of the drug interaction became increased. So we surveyed the drug interaction of NSAIDS in order to inhibit NSAID-related side dffect. This study was accomplished for the NSAID-administered inpatients in Chonnam University Hospital at one day from Jan. to June in 1991. The NSAID-administered in patients occupied 20.2% of total 3598 drug-administered inpatients. On clinical department, orthopedic surgery occupied the highest value of 15.1% of NSAID-administered patient. On the route of NSAID administration, injection occupied 32.7%, internal medicine 61.2%, external medicine 0.3% and the combination of injection of injection & internal medicine 5.8%. On NSAID dosage form, injection occupied 38.5%, internal medicine 67% and external medicine 0.3%. On the number of used NSAID, one occupied 89.8%, two 9.2% and three 1%. The average number of NSAID used by a patient was 1.1. The possible occurrence rate of drug interaction of NSAIDS was 33.1%. As the number of used drug increased, the occurrence possibility of drug interaction of NSAIDS tended to increase. The possible occurrence rate of drug interaction of NSAIDS reached 100% in above 21 drug-used cases. The harmful interaction of NSAIDS could occur such as digitalis toxicity with digoxin in 3 cases. hypoglycemia with antidiabetics in 8 cases, nephrotoxicity with diuretics in 57 cases, hemorrhage with anticoagulants or thrombolytics in 57 cases, gastrointestinal hemorrhage with NSAIDS in 63 cases, the decrease of antihypertensive effect with antihypertensives in 104 cases and the decrease of anti-inflammatory effect with antacids in 135 cases. So we should carefully monitor the drug interaction of NSAIDS and provide drug information to health team in order to prevent the harmful interaction of NSAIDS.

The ejector is generally used to get a low pressure and improve the flow efficiency. The flow characteristics in ejector are investigated by PIV and a numerical analysis to predict it has been performed by CFD. Physical properties are obtained for three different Reynolds numbers in experiment and numerical analysis The research is tried to analysis not only compression vacuum engine, but also substitution for pump as fluid mechanics method about ejector's mixing duct fluid character depend on Reynolds number. The good agreement between numerical analysis and experiment shows the validity of this study.
