Objective : This study reports the effect of Korean medicine on one case diagnosed as idiopathic glossopharyngeal neuralgia. Methods : We experienced one case with idiopathic glossopharyngeal neuralgia treated with acupuncture, herbal medicine and gargling. Associated symtoms had been estimated with change of VAS(Visual Analogue Scale), severity of dysphagia, and diet type. Result : After the treatment, symptoms were decreased and almost disappered. In this case, VAS and severity of dysphagia decreased from 10 to 1 and from severe to subsided, and diet type changed from unable to DD4(Dysphagic Diet 4) during 21 days. Conclusion : This study suggests that Korean medicine is effective on idiopathic glossopharyngeal neuralgia.

정부조직의 ‘조직융합관리’에 관한 시론적 연구

1990년대 이후 주요선진국들은 정부혁신의 한 가지 방편으로 정부부처들을 통합하는 정부조직의 개편을 단행하였고, 우리나라 역대 정부들도 그동안 정권이 바뀔 때 마다 정부조직의 효율성, 생산성 제고 등의 기치 하에 부처 간 통폐합을 시도하였으나 통합의 시너지 효과를 보지 못하고 여러 가지 부작용을 경험해온 것이 현실이다. 이러한 부작용을 최소화하고 의도했던 조직통합의 효과를 얻기 위해서는 조직의 융합관리가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 그동안 조직의 특정 변수에 치우쳐 연구되어 왔던 조직통합, 조직융합에 대한 연구를 검토함으로써 조직융합의 통합적 접근법을 시론적으로 제시하고자 하였다. 아울러 개념적 혼란이 남아 있는 것으로 생각되는 통합과 융합의 개념적 정립을 시도함으로써 이로 인한 개념상의 혼란과 융합지표 설정의 혼란 등을 해결할 수 있는 단서를 제공하고자 시도하였다. 이를 위하여 우선 조직융합에 관한 선행연구들을 조직문화적 측면, 인적자원관리적 측면, 구조기능적 측면의 세 가지 측면으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 조직융합의 개념정립과 관련해서는 통합과는 차별화되는 융합의 개념을 제시하고 이를 바탕으로 조직융합의 통합적 접근을 모색하였다. 즉 조직문화적 접근, 관리과정적 접근, 구조기능적 접근의 세 가지 접근을 통하여 ‘화학적 결합’으로서의 조직융합의 방향을 제시하였다. This study finds the successful management strategies of PMI (post-merger integration) in public organizations and explores the process of the PMI in public organizations. PMI is the most important phase of organizational change. The PMI period is very similar to any strategic change management process for an organization. It must continually assess the speed of the changes being made, establish clear leadership, communicate effectively, maintain a human resource focus throughout the process, deal with both internal and external resistance, and make rational decisions. It must be dynamic in adapting to the ever-changing circumstances. What is the message that this study leaves for practicing managers and academics? A successful strategy of PMI(post-merger integration) in the public organizations is depends on having strategy or merger logic that goes beyond simple cost saving, rationalization, and the capacity to realize those strategic benefits through the public and cultural integration processes that are the focus of this study.

회전반 유체실험에서 국지적 외력의 실험적 모의

회전반 유체실험을 이용하여 국지적 외력에 의한 순환특성을 모의하는 방법을 고찰하였다. 기존의 실험들은 균일한 외력에 의한 순환특성을 고려하였으나 한국 동해를 고려할 때 바람응력 컬의 남북 방향으로의 분포특성 및 해수면 열 손실의 북부해역에서의 존재를 근거로 공간적인 국지성 및 계절 변화를 염두에 둔 주기성을 복합적으로 모의할 수 있는 방법과 실험을 실시하였다. 바람응력 컬의 국지성은 에크만 층내 압력 경도력을 발생시켜 내부에도 같은 압력 경도력이 전달되어 지형류가 발생되게 하였으며 해수면 냉각을 위해서는 용기의 측면을 국지적으로 냉각시켜 자유표면을 유지할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 남북에 위치한 두 개의 서로 다른 방향을 갖는 폐쇄순환과 서안경계류의 크기 및 이안 위치 변화등을 냉각효과 첨부시 및 응력 컬의 주기성을 갖는 경우를 택하여 실험적으로 관찰하였다. Simulation of local external forcing and its response in the rotation table experiment has been investigated. Spatially-uniform external forcings have been applied in many experimental studies, however, based on the fact that the north-south distribution of the wind-stress curl and the existence of local maximum of the sea surface heat loss in the northern part of the East Sea, new method of combined effects of local forcings has been employed in separate experiments. Carefully designed local source or sink at the bottom of the cylindrical container can produce horizontal pressure gradient within the Ekman layer, and consequently the interior also attains the same pressure gradient that produces geostrophic interior circulation. In order to keep free surface during the local-surface cooling, a side-wall cooling method is suggested. For the various type of local forcing including the effects local cooling and the periodic change of local wind-stress curl, western-boundary flow in terms of its strength, position of separation from the boundary have been observed.

Plasma membrane was purified from Saccharomyces cerevisiae KCTC1205 in an attempt to characterize the plasma membrane H^+ ATPase. The purification procedure comprised disruption of cells with glass beads, differential centrifugation, continuous sucrose density gradient centrifugation (30-60%, wt/wt) and discontinuous sucrose density gradient centrifugation. The ATPase activity of the purified plasma membrane had a pH optimum of =5.5 and an apparent K_m of 1.3±0.4 mM for ATP in the substrate concentration range of 0.05-5 mM. The activity was sensitive to vanadate, while resistant to oligomycin and azide. The concentration of vanadate giving rise to 50% inhibition was determined to be 4 μM.

Certain parts of shellfish contain poisonous substances and cause intoxication. Tetramine toxin is found in the salivary gland of Neptunea. Three family members were admitted to the hospital with chief complaints of dizziness and blurred vision, gait disturbance, and spasms of the lower extremities after ingesting Neptunea. Physical examination revealed sluggish pupil light reflexes, but laboratory studies were normal. Symptoms were completely resolved within 24 hours after injection of atropine. We report a case of three patients with dizziness and blurred vision, gait disturbance, and spasms of the lower extremities due to Neptunea tetramine toxin.

TMS320C6701 DSP를 이용한 실시간 W-대역 FMCW 거리측정장치

This paper presents a real time distance measuring device using a W-band linear frequency modulated continuous wave(FMCW) radar and TMS320C6701 digital signal processor(DSP). We used FFT operation for measuring distance with the beat signals and the results of FFT could be converted to distance with ease. We presented how to implement a real time miniaturized hardware system including network protocols using a single DSP core. Also how to control the modulation signal of FMCW system to compensate the VCO nonlinearity using the Time Gating control of DSP is presented. We have shown that the proposed system has good performances for measuring distance in real time via outdoor environment experiments.

The inhibition of the plasma membrane-bound ATPase of S. cerevisiae KCTC1205 was studied for two hydrophobic inhibitors, diethylstilbestrol (DES) and N,N`-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCCD). DES showed nearly noncompetitive inhibition kinetics (K_(EI)/K_(ESI)= 0.43-1.57), which suggested non-overlapping binding sites for MgATP and DES. For the present, however, indirect and nonspecific action of DES through membrane lipid can not be excluded. For DCCD inhibition, near first-order reaction kinetics (n = 0.79 with respect to DCCD) was observed. This suggested an inhibition resulting from the reaction of a single molecule of DCCD with a single site on ATPase. For the covalent inactivation reaction, a second-order rate constant of 7.4±1.3 sec^(-1)M^(-1) was calculated. For DES there were only minor effects of pH on the inhibition, while higher reactivities were observed for DCCD at acidic pH`s in the range of 4 to 7.
