고령자가 인지하는 생활환경의 고령친화정도 -부산광역시 물리적 환경을 중심으로-

고령친화적인 환경은 고령자의 자립생활을 위한 여건을 조성해 줄 뿐 아니라 장애인, 아동, 임산부 등은 물론 일반인에게까지도 편리한 생활환경을 제공해 주는 이점이 있다. 본 연구는 부산 거주 고령자가 인지하는 부산시물리적 생활환경의 고령친화정도를 파악하고 고령자의 특성에 따라 고령친화도가 어떠한 차이를 보이는지를 규명하였다. 본 연구는 부산지역 16개 구에 거주하는 60세 이상 고령자 525명을 대상으로 일대일 면접방법을 이용하여 조사하였다. WHO의 고령친화도시 가이드라인 8개 영역 중 물리적 환경영역에 속하는 3개 영역인 야외공간과 건물, 교통, 주택영역과 관련된 34개 항목의 고령 친화도를 4점 척도를 이용하여 조사하였다. 조사결과 고령자는 3개 영역의 물리적 생활환경의 고령친화도가 중간 정도 수준이라고 인지하고 있어 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 3개 영역 중 특히 주택영역에 대한 고령 친화도는 가장 낮은 것으로 나타나 고령자 주택의 개선을 위한 방안마련이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 고령자가 인지하는 주변 생활환경의 고령 친화도에 영향을 미치는 고령자 특성은 경제수준, 주택유형, 주택소유상태, 건강상태인 것으로 나타나 고령친화적인 생활환경을 계획할 때 이들 특성에 대한 고려가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. The age-friendly environments have the benefits that they provide not only the elderly, but also the disabled, children, pregnant, and young persons with the convenient environments. The study examined how degree the aged perceived their physical living environments were age-friendly. The data were collected from 525 old peoples living in Busan using by the person to person interview. All 34 items related to the age-friendliness of outdoor space and building, traffic, and housing were analyzed. The aged perceived that the agefriendliness of their living environments were mid-range. This implies that the improvements of their physical living environments were needed. The age-friendliness of housing area was the lowest among three areas. This means that the alternatives for improving the old persons`` houses were needed. The characteristics which affected the aged`` perception of the age-friendliness of physical living environments were economic level, housing type, home-ownership, and health condition.
