In this research, residual gas fraction was measured Quantitatively by means of gas chromatography as a function of 18 valve timings and combustion stability was calculated through the acquisition of in-cylinder pressure at idle and part-load condition. As the valve overlap duration increased, the amount of residual gas in the combustion chamber increased. And the amount of the residual gas at idle was bigger than that at part-load condition. This phenomena results from the lower engine speed and the larger pressure difference between the intake and exhaust port at idle. And as the overlap center was retarded, the residual gas fraction was increased. At idle, there was a good correlation between residual gas fraction and COV IMEP. But the correlation was not obvious at part-load condition.
주택 소유와 투표선택: 한국의 선거, 2007-2012

이 연구는 2007년부터 2012년 사이에 실시됐던 네 번의 선거에 관한 패널 조사자료를 바탕으로, 주택 소유 여부와 투표행태와의 연관성에 대해 분석한다. 분석 결과, 주택을 소유한 응답자가 주택을 소유하지 않은 응답자보다 보수정당(후보자)에 투표하는 경향은 네번의 선거에서 일관되게 통계적으로 유의미했다. 주택 소유와 보수 투표선택의 메커니즘으로 정책 선호를 분석했을 때, 주택소유자일수록 2007년 노무현 정부의 부동산정책에 대해 부정적 태도를 나타냈으며, 부정적 태도를 갖는 유권자일수록 보수 투표선택으로 이어졌다는 점을 밝혀내었다. 또한 잠재적 교란변수인 연령효과를 고려하기 위해 60대 이상 응답자만을 대상으로 한 분석에서도 마찬가지로 주택 소유의 보수 투표선택 효과를 발견하였다. 이 분석 결과, 한국 선거에서 경제적 계층과 투표행태의 관련성을 살펴볼 때, 자산을 기준으로 나누는 경제적 계층 분류가 소득을 기준으로 나누는 경제적 계층 분류보다 투표행태를 설명할 때 비교우위를 가질 것이라고 추론할 수 있다. There have been debates over whether income affects vote choice in Korean elections. Unlike the previous research, this paper shifts the focus on the effect of assets on individual vote choice. This paper explores the relationship between house ownership and vote choice by analyzing panel survey data for the period 2007-2012. The results of our analysis suggest that house ownership is associated with higher probabilities of voting for conservative candidates/parties consistently over the four elections held in 2007, 2010, and 2012. To test the robustness of our results, we first explored the mechanism that links house ownership to policy preferences, and to conservative vote choice, and then examine an alternative explanation, the age effect. We find that our main results are not a by-product of the working of a confounder, the age effect, but imply the asset ownership may have a causal effect on a conservative vote choice through forming/altering policy preferences. This analysis suggests that the asset ownership effect may be more pronounced than the income effect in Korean elections.
Overstated Expectations on Predicting Stock Markets using Google Trends

? Human behavior assuredly affects financial markets. What makes it hard to take into consideration those influence is that the behavior of market participants is rather hard to quantify. ? Notwithstanding, data sources, such as Google query volumes or pageviews of Wikipedia, have been suggested as reflections of human behavior. Several studies claimed that stock market fluctuations could be foreseen with such data sets. ? By analyzing Google query volumes, however, we find "early warning signs" works only when stock markets crashes. We also find some patterns may reverse depending on the circumstances.

In this work, the characteristics of combustion and emissions were researched as a function of valve timings. The parameters, such as mass burned fractions, Pmax-θ pmax relations and COVimep, were studied to understand the characteristics of combustion for different valve timings. HC and Nox emissions were also measured to investigate the effect of valve timings on emissions. And the residual gas fractions were compared with the combustion duration became longer as the overlap duration was increased. And it was caused by the larger residual gas fraction in the combustion chamber. HC emissions was increased and NOx emissions decreased as the valve overlap increased.

As environmental regulations become stricter, most of automotive companies focus on weight reduction of car body guaranteeing its safety performance. Therefore, they want to use lighter and stronger materials such as Ultra High Strength Steels (UHSS) in their products. But there are several problems using them due to insufficient formability. For this reason, it has been suggested that they need special forming methods like simple bending or roll forming. To overcome these shortcomings, POSCO has developed Twinning Induced Plasticity (TWIP) steel which has different properties from traditional materials. It has excellent formability and strength even though they are in inverse proportion to each other generally. In this study, we developed an automotive part applying TWIP steel which has an advantage such as above through forming simulation and fabrication, and then the excellence of TWIP steel was proven by comparing other steels. In conclusion, we proposed effective ways to apply TWIP steel in automotive parts.

네트워크 슬라이싱 기술은 5G 네트워크에서의 필수 기술 중 하나이다. 네트워크 망에서는 네트워크 슬라이싱을 통해 서로 다른 요구사항이 존재하는 다수의 서비스를 유연하게 처리 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 전망되는 5G 네트워크 구조와 기반 기술에 대해 소개하고,네트워크 슬라이싱 적용하기 위한 이슈를 정리한다. 끝으로 네트워크 슬라이스 선택 기능 설계 시 고려사항을 제안한다.

This paper is focuses on launch performance with clutch system specifications. Automotives are controlled clutch pedal for connecting or disconnection powertrain by users. Recently vehicles take an interest in fuel economic, and reduce IDLE RPM about 80% than old product. This is made of full optimization with idle condition as air-conditioner, alternator, steering system with hydroid, others pumps and electronic loads. This is taking an influence modulation zone of clutch pedal trace, and users get the feel with easy and difficult launches.
