On April 22, Ju-ho Lee, Minister of Education, Science and Technology, announced that all high school students are to obligatorily study Korean history, starting next year. It means that Korean history will be re-designated as an essential subject in all high schools in South Korea. Previously, based on the Revised Educational Curriculum of 2009, high schools were allowed to choose Korean history as an optional course. At least such condition is now reversed. Yet Lee’s announcement and the policy he’s suggesting is far from enough to motivate high school students to devote themselves to the studying of Korean history. Most of them are more concerned about subjects that would directly define their College scholastic test scores, than other subjects like Korean history. Since 2010, several members of the National Assembly have been working with their colleagues on a more active history education legislation. The Bills, which they will establish to reinforce history education, consist of elements as follows. First, the students of all elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools must study Korean history as an obligatory course. Second, the exam requirements for the entrance to colleges and universities should include a method to evaluate how much the examinees know about the history of Korea. Third, those who would choose to take the central or local civil service exam, the elementary school teacher certification exam, or the secondary teacher certification exam, should first successfully pass the Korean History Competence Test. National Institute of Korean History should in the future revise some of the questions asked in the Korean History Competence Test. Until now, the Korean History Competence Test has mainly focused upon assessing the level of knowledge about the Korean history, for examinees who were mostly pursuing careers in business. From now on, the Korean History Competence Test should be revised to evaluate how much all Koreans-in their various ages-know about the history of Korea.
Mo 유연기판을 이용한 Cu<sub>2</sub>SnS<sub>3</sub> 박막 태양전지의 셀레늄 도핑 효과

Due to its favorable optical properties, Cu<sub>2</sub>SnS<sub>3</sub> (CTS) is a promising material for thin film solar cells. Doping, which modifies the absorber properties, is one way to improve the conversion efficiency of CTS solar cells. In this work, CTS solar cells with selenium doping were fabricated on a flexible substrate using sputtering method and the effect of doping on the properties of CTS solar cells was investigated. In XRD analysis, a shift in the CTS peaks can be observed due to the doped selenium. XRF analysis confirmed the different ratios of Cu/Sn and (S+Se)/(Cu+Sn) depending on the amount of selenium doping. Selenium doping can help to lower the chemical potential of sulfur. This effectively reduces the point defects of CTS thin films. Overall improved electrical properties were observed in the CTS solar cell with a small amount of selenium doping, and a notable conversion efficiency of 1.02 % was achieved in the CTS solar cell doped with 1 at% of selenium.

질산 취급시 발생한 화학적 폐렴은 드문 질환으로 방사선학적 소견으로는 그 시기에 따라 폐부종, 폐쇄성 세기관지염, 기관지확장증 등이 보고된 바 있지만 급성 폐포 손상의 소견을 보인 예는 드물다. 저자들은 질소산화물 흡입 후 기관지 혈관속 (bronchovascular bundle)주변의 중심부 폐야에서 폐포경화 및 간유리음영 등 급성 폐포 손상의 방사선학적 소견을 보인 급성 화학적 폐렴 1예를 보고하고자 한다. Chemical pneumonitis induced by nitric acid inhalation is a rare clinical condition. The previously reported radiologic findings of this disease include acute permeability pulmonary edema, delayed bronchiolitis obliterans, and bronchiectasis. In very few published rare radiologic reports has this disease manifested as acute alveolar injury; we report a case of acute chemical pneumonitis induced by nitric acid inhalation which at radiography manifested as bilateral perihilar consolidation and ground-glass attenuation, suggesting acute alveolar injury.

Kimura병은 예후가 좋은 양성의 만성적인 염증성 질병으로서 흉부에 생기는 경우는 드물다.특히,흉부의 종격동에서 임파절 비대로만 나타날 때는 감별 진단이 어렵다.이 증례 보고의 목적은 흉부의 종격동,쇄골상부,액와부 등에서 임파절 비대로 나타난 Kimura병의 CT 소견을 기술하는데 있다. Kimura's disease is a benign chronic inflammatory condition with good prognosis, commonly involving the head and neck area. With regard to thoracic manifestation, however, the information contained in the literature is limited. The diagnosis of Kimura's disease on the basis of imaging is difficult, especially in thoracic cases manifesting as lymphadenopathy. The purpose of this report is to illustrate and discuss a thoracic case of the disease manifesting as lymphadenopathy.
맛길따라: 도시 특성을 잘 담아낸 축제, Taste of Chicago

축제가 가지는 많은 속성 중 하나는 일탈성과 장소성이다. 축제는 일상을 벗어나지 못한 사람들에게 일상에서 느낄 수 없는 새로운 기회를 제공할 수 있는 기능이 있어야 한다. 하지만 축제의 정체성을 유지하기 위해서는 일상생활에서 유리되면 안 된다. 축제는 일상에 기반을 두어 일상에서의 벗어남을 제공해주어야 한다. 이 글에서는 Taste of Chicago를 소개해 본다. Taste of Chicago는 미국에서 꼭 가봐야 할 만큼 유명한 축제는 아니지만 도시의 삶 속에서 도시의 축제를 만들어가는 미국 축제의 일면을 보여주는 축제여서 소개하고자 한다.
설계VE Idea 연계를 위한 성능기반 건물 부위별 기능분류체계 개발

건설 분야의 환경변화에 따라 다수의 건설 프로젝트에서 설계경제성 등 검토(설계VE)가 수행되고 있다. 그러나 그동안 수행되었던 VE 기능분석의 경우 체계적인 가능분석 방법론을 통한 아이디어 창출이라기보다는 VE 팀원의 개인적인 경험을 바탕으로 시설물 전체를 대상으로 실시하는 경향이 있다. 그 원인으로는 기존에 수행된 가능분석 자료의 재인용, 시설특성별 구체성이 결여된 포괄적인 기능분석과 추상적인 기능분석 등이 있다. 특히 가능에 요구되는 성능을 명확히 분석 및 정의하지 않음에 따라 건물 부위별로 요구되는 성능과 기능을 충족하지 못하는 경우가 많다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존 설계VE 워크숍 제안사례를 토대로 가능과 아이디어 연계현황 및 부위별 아이디어 분류현황 등을 분석하고 문제점 및 개선방향을 도출하였다. 이를 기반으로 VE 활동의 가장 핵심단계인 기능분석단계 중 기능정의/분류 가능정리 과정에서, 시설물 부위별 기능과 함께 요구성능을 반영하여, 기능과 아이디어의 논리적 연계성을 확보할 수 있는 성능기반 건물 부위별 기능분류체계를 개발하였다. Design value engineering (VE) has been performed in many construction projects according to the changes in the construction for most of the VB function analysis that performed, are problems that focus on function analysis and generating ideas based on individual experience of VE team member than generating ideas and value improvement of systematic function analysis. This may be due to the quotation of previously performed function analysis data, general function analysis, and abstract function definitions that do not cite the concrete characteristics of each facility. Therefore, in this study, the proposed cases from the existing design VE workshops, the current conditions of the connection between functions and ideas and of the idea categorization by building part were studied to determine why functions and ideas are not connected, and to propose pertinent improvement directions. on a performance-based function categorization system by building part that can provide the logical connection between functions and ideas in the function definition/categorization and function arrangement phases in the function analysis phase, the most important phase in VE activities, was developed by reflecting the required performance and functions for each part of the facility.
