A new district cooling system using ice slurry for the uncertain cooling load of the future is presented. The chilled water produced by the absorption chillers is used for the base cooling load. The temperature of the chilled water is reduced by mixing of ice slurry depending on increasing of the cooling load. Finally, IPF of the ice slurry is increased up to 10% at the peak load. The transporting mass flow rate is decreased down to 44.7%, and the diameter of the main pipe is decreased down to 66.7%, but the diameter of the branched pipe is designed as the same size of the chilled water.

Triz is the technique which can solve the contradicted problems. TRIZ through the analysis of the hundreds of thousands patents was invented. As an example of the TRIZ , the problem on the cold heat storage chiller was solved. It is afraid that the thickened ice layer gives the pressure to the neighbor ice generating tube, and the pressure makes the ice generating tube break. Presently the break-up of the ice generating tube is prevented, by stopping ice generating when the water temperature is lower than any value. But the error within the measurement of the temperature can be the cause of unstability for the total system. From the contradiction matrix, pre-treatment is presented. Using the mixture solution for the ice generating brine the soft ice is forming. Even if the error at the temperature sensor has happened, the break-up does not happen. With this serial process a stable ice storage chiller could be realized.

Applicability of an ice slurry system to the enhancement of the district cooling capacity is studied. The chilled water transporting systems ( ①3 ℃/13 ℃ , ②1 ℃ /13.5 ℃ :Ice bone type=> Ice slurry system), and the district ice slurry transporting system ③ are analyzed in the view of the economic evaluation. The payback periods for the each system are as follows, ①3 ℃/13 ℃=>10.5 year, ②1 ℃/13.5 ℃ ( Ice bone type is replaced by the ice slurry system ) =>10.3 year, ③direct ice slurry transporting system=> 9.7 year. With the same transportation pipe for the chilled water transportation system (①3 ℃/13 ℃), the heat exchanging for the condition ( 1 ℃/13.5 ℃ ) is performed by the extra ice slurry system investment, the capacity is enhanced as much as 25 %, and the payback period for the extra facility is 3.9 years.

Lage capacity(1,090 Mcal/h) ice slurry generator was developed and adopted as main equipment of hospital cooling system. This ice generator is the largest scraper type ice slurry generator in the world. Generator use centrfugal compressor and all components are in one skid. We expect It could solve the problems of hampering extension or ice slurry system and ice slurry generator. We have tested the ice generator on capacity, efficience, and credibility.

Rotorcraft tail rotor blades are mainly composed of composite material. During take-off, landing and flying in a cloud, the rotorcraft could exposed to the direct lightning strike and it could cause fatal damage to composite tail rotor blades. To verify the survivability requirement for the direct lightning environment and the design requirement for current conductivity path, the lightning test of direct effect have been performed. First, checked the applied laboratory lightning current size and sustain time, second, checked and analyzed the damage type and size, finally verified the survivability requirement by fatigue life estimation for the damage model using the damage size, and current conductivity path.

목적: Collagenase를 이용한 배양사람각막내피세포판‐가토각막실질 복합체를 만들어 가토에서 이식의 가능성을 알아보고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: 각막이식을 하고 남은 윤부 각막에서 사람각막내피세포를 분리 배양하여 collagenase를 사용하여 사람각막내피세포판(sheets)을 만들었다. 가토의 각막을 얻어 가토각막내피세포와 데스메막을 제거한 실질에 사람각막내피세포판을 이식하여 배양사람 각막내피세포판‐가토각막실질 복합체를 만들었다. 조직검사로 Hematoxylin and eosin 염색 및 collagen VIIIa2 (COL8A2), zonula occludens-1 (ZO-1)에 대해 면역형광염색을 시행하였다. 가토에서 각막을 trephine으로 제거하고 그 자리에 생체실험으로 배양사람 각막내피세포판‐가토각막실질 복합체를 이식하였다. 3일, 5일, 7일째에 이식한 각막을 사진 촬영하고 각막혼탁을 측정한 후 1주일 후에 가토를 희생하고 조직검사를 시행하여 Hematoxylin and eosin 염색과 COL8A2에 대한 면역형광염색을 시행하였다. 결과: 배양된 세포들은 collagen VIIIa1, ZO‐1에 면역형광염색이 되었다. Collagenase로 만든 배양사람각막내피세포판은 가토각막실질에 이식 후 배양 7일째 조직 검사에서 단층으로 자랐고 COL8A2와 ZO‐1에 면역형광염색이 되었다. 생체실험에서 가토에 이식한 배양사람각막내피세포판‐가토각막실질 복합체는 3일째와 5일째에 유의하게 각막혼탁이 적고 투명하였으나 7일째에는 각막혼탁이 발생하였다. 조직 검사에서 3,3 ‐dioctadecyloxacarbocyanine perchlorate (DIO)‐stained cells (green)로 염색된 각막내피가 관찰되었으며 배양사람각막내피세포판‐가토각막실질 복합체 이식군에서 경도의 림프구가 침착되어 있는 것이 관찰되었다. 결론: Collagenase를 이용한 배양사람각막내피세포판‐가토각막실질 복합체는 각막내피세포 이식의 방법으로서 충분한 가능성을 보였다. Purpose: To investigate the possibility of transplantation into rabbits of collagenase‐induced cultured human corneal endothelial cell plate‐rabbit corneal stromal complexes. Methods: Human corneal endothelial cells were isolated from residual corneal limbus samples and treated with collagenase to create corneal endothelial cell sheets. Cultured sheets were transplanted into the rabbit stroma after the rabbit corneal endothelial cells and Descemet’s membrane were removed. Hematoxylin‐and‐eosin staining and immunofluorescence staining for collagen VIIIa2 (COL8A2) and zonula occludens-1 (ZO‐1) were performed. The cultured human corneal endothelial cell sheet‐rabbit corneal stromal complex was transplanted into rabbits. On days 3, 5, and 7, the transplanted corneas were photographed and corneal opacity was measured. One week later, the rabbits were sacrificed. Hematoxylin‐and‐eosin staining and immunofluorescence staining for COL8A2 were performed. Results: The cultured cells were immunofluorescently stained for collagen VIIIa1 and ZO‐1. Collagenase‐treated cultured human corneal endothelial cells formed monolayers on day 7 after transplantation into the rabbit corneal stroma and immunofluorescently stained for COL8A2 and ZO‐1. The cultured human corneal endothelial cell sheet‐rabbit stroma complex transplanted into rabbits was transparent on days 3 and 5, but corneal opacity developed by day 7. Histologic examination revealed 3,3 ‐dioctadecyloxacarbocyanine perchlorate (DIO)‐stained corneal endothelium (green) and hard‐tissue lymphocytes had infiltrated the cultured corneal endothelial cell plate‐rabbit corneal stromal complex graft group. Conclusions: The cultured corneal endothelial cell sheet‐rabbit corneal stromal complex prepared with the aid of collagenase showed a potential method for corneal endothelial cell transplantation.
금도금 방법으로 제작한 코일을 이용한 초소형 발전기의 저주파 진동 특성분석

We have designed and fabricated coil structures by gold electroplating technique. The thickness, width, and length are 7{mu}m,;20{mu}m, and 1.6m, respectively. With vibrating a magnet on the surface of a fabricated electroplated coil, the micro power generator produce an alternating voltage. We have changed the vibrational frequency from 0.5Hz to 8Hz. The generated voltage was 106mV at 3Hz and 198mV at 6Hz. We have rectified and stepped up the input voltage using a quadrupler circuit. After using the step up circuit, the measured voltage was 81mV at 3Hz and 235mV at 6Hz.
