      • FCST의 음양균형장치를 활용 삼차신경통 증례보고

        본 증례에서는 극심한 삼차신경통 진단을 받고 안면부와 턱관절 통증으로 일상생활이 어려워 항간질약과 수술적 치료를 받았지만 통증이 개선되지 않던 환자에게서 음양균형장치를 포함한 자세조절훈련, 침치료 등 구조적 치료를 통해서 유의한 자각적 증상 개선뿐만 아니라 턱관절의 구조적 개선이 나타남을 관찰하였고, 요통과 경항통 및 비염 같은 제반 증상들의 호전과 척추의 구조적 개선이 관찰되었다. Therapeutic effect of Yinyang Balancing Appliance (YBA) of functional cerebrospinal therapy (FCST) for meridian and neurologic yinyang balance was observed in a trigeminal neuralgia case. One Trigeminal neuralgia case was managed with YBA on temporomandibular joint (TMJ), combined with acupuncture. Clinical outcome measurement was performed by subjective rating and clinical observations. The patient's subjective rating and clinical symptoms showed improvement immediately after the initial treatment and this improvement maintained over the follow-up period. Although it is not clear whether the effect is temporary in its nature, a positive effect was observed and further clinical and biological research on FCST is expected.

        Objectives : The aim of this study was to try to embody the method of treating Tempromandibular Joint Disorder in Oriental Medicine. Methods : I had researched anatomic features and functions of TMJ, causes and symptoms of TMD and reviewed classic medicine books in Oriental Medicine on Sanjiao. Then, I tried to interpret the disorder in the point of Sanjiao's 'Cooperative Relationship'. Results and Conclusions : 1. Symptoms of TMD IS not limited at TMJ and spread in whole body by circulation of Sanjiaojing. 2. Sanjiao is a invisible organ to control the general physical functions as 'Cooperative Relationship'. 3. It is a due in improving the symptoms of TMD to regulate Sanjiao-Jing-qi and balance the Yin-Yang.

        Buplueri Radix 의 1,2,4-benzentriol에 의해 유발된 DNA Damage에 대한 보호효과에 대한 연구

        Objectives : Buplueri Radix (BR), used medical plant in Korea traditional medicine, contains various compounds, including a series of triterpene saponins known as saikosaponins. We performed this study for the protective effect of BR against oxidative damage induced by 1,2,4-benzentriol(BT) in human lymphocytes. Methods : In order to investigate the protective effect of BR against carcinogens, genotoxicity induced by benzene metabolite, BT were performed using cytokinesis-block micronucleus(CBMN) assay and comet assay. Results : The frequency of micronucleus at 25, 50 and $100{\mu}M$ concentration of BT were $8{\pm}2.36$, $23{\pm}2.31$, $35{\pm}4.17$ respectively. In addition of BR with concentration of 25 and $50{\mu}g/mL$, MN frequencies were significantly decreased. According to comet assay, BT induced DNA damage in a dose-dependent manner at concentration of 10 and 50 while BT with BR treatment decreased DNA breakage. No genotoxicity was observed by BR($25{\sim}50{\mu}g/mL$) treatment alone on DNA breakage. Since BT can induce DNA damage through the generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS), we examined the level of ROS in human lymphocytes treated with BT and/or BR using DCF-DA, ROS-sensitive probe. The generation of ROS in BT-treated cells was also observed, and BR addition inhibited the level of BT-induced DNA damage. Conclusions : From above results it is suggested that BR could protect the cell and DNA from pro-oxidant effect by ROS by BT

        세그먼트 라이닝 이음부의 모멘트-회전 관계와 지압강도 계산

        일반적으로 세그먼트 라이닝 터널은 프리캐스트 콘크리트 세그먼트를 연결하여 하나의 링을 구성하고 터널의 진행방향으로 링을 서로 결합하여 형성한 터널을 말한다. 세그먼트 라이닝의 구조적 특성은 세그먼트 이음부의 거동에 따라 크게 달라지므로 이음부를 적절하게 모델링해야 한다. 지반 하중을 받을 때 세그먼트 이음부는 회전에 저항하는 힌지로 작동하며, 모멘트-회전 관계는 비선형 거동을 보인다. 세그먼트 이음부가 라이닝 거동에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 실제 설계에 통용되는 일본 기준 및 Janssen 모델을 적용하여 세그먼트 이음부의 모멘트-회전 관계를 설정하였다. 또한 이 논문은 지압강도를 기초로 세그먼트 이음부의 회전강성을 결정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 가상의 설계조건에서 기존 모델 및 제시된 방법을 적용해 세그먼트 이음부의 회전을 추정하고 세그먼트 라이닝과 이음부에서 발생하는 단면력을 계산하였다. 세그먼트 이음부의 회전이 증가할수록 이음부의 접촉 면적이 감소하므로 세그먼트 이음부의 지압강도를 확인해야 한다. 이 논문은 세그먼트 이음부의 지압강도를 검토하기 위해 세그먼트 이음부의 회전강성을 결정하고 지압강도를 계산하는 일관된 방법을 제시하였다. In general, segment lining tunnel refers to a tunnel formed by connecting precast concrete segments as a ring and connecting such rings to each other in the longitudinal direction of the tunnel. As the structural properties of the segment lining is highly dependent on the behavior of the segment joints, thus correct modelling of joint behavior is crucial to understand and design the segment tunnel lining. When the tunnel is subjected to ground loads, the segment joint behaves like a hinge that resists rotation, and when the induced moment exceeds a certain limit of the rotation then it may enter into non-linear field. In understanding the effect of the segment joint on the lining behavior, a moment-rotation relationship of the segment joint was explored based on the Japanese practice and Janssen's approach commonly used in the actual design. This study also presents a method to determine the rotational stiffness of joint refer to the bearing strength. The rotation of the segment joint was estimated in virtual design conditions based on the existing models and the proposed method. And the sectional force of the segment lining and joint were calculated along with the estimated rotation. As the rotation at the segment joint increases, the joint contact area decreases, so the designer have to verify the segment joint for bearing strength as well. This paper suggests a consistent method to determine the rotational stiffness and bearing strength of joints.

        Hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic effects of Allium victorialis leaf extract in high fat diet supplied mice

        The hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic effects of Allium victorialis (AV) leaf methanol extract were evaluated in a high fat diet (HFD) supplied mice. Changes on the serum glucose, total cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein and high density lipoprotein were examined. The effects were compared with those of a group given 250 mg/kg of metformin. After 91 days of a continuous HFD supply, the mice were showed marked hyperglycemia and hyperlipemia. However, these hyperglycemia and hyperlipemia induced by the HFD were inhibited by the AV extract treatment at the three different doses (62.5, 125 and 250 mg/kg). The results suggest that the AV methanol extract is beneficial for improving the diet-induced hyperlipidemia and hyperglycemia in humans.

      • FCST의 구강내 균형장치를 이용한 경추부 근긴장 이상증 증례보고

        경추부 근긴장 이상증에 대해 턱관절 자세균형 개념에 따라 구강내 균형장치를 활용한 자세훈련법 등의 치료로 긍정적인 호전을 관찰했다. 증례 보고이기는 하지만 턱관절 자세균형을 활용한 치료법에서 긍정적인 치료효과가 이어지고 있어서 앞으로 더욱 체계적인 관찰과 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. To investigate the effects of the postural balance of TMJ using intraoral balancing appliance of functional cerebrospinal technique (FCST) combined acupuncture and manual medicine therapeutics in the treatment of congenital muscular torticollis. An idiopathic cervical dystonia case was managed with postural training with intraoral balancing appliance, combined with acupuncture and manual medicine therapeutics. Clinical assessment included radiography, Toronto Western Spasmodic Torticollis Rating Scale, and global clinical impression. Clinical improvement was observed over 5 months of treatment period. Clinical observational data on spasmodic torticollis provide an positive prospective for further investigation on the effect of FCST.

        속단의 dichloromethane 분획물이 태아골모세포의 골형성 유도에 미치는 효과

        The ideal goal of periodontal therapy is the regeneration of periodontal tissue repair of function. Although is very difficult to attain the goal, recent advances in periodontal wound healing concepts encourage hope reaching it. Recently many efforts are concentrated on the regeneration potential of material used in traditional Korean medicine. Phlomidis Radix has been used for the treatment of blood stasis, bone fracture and osteoporosis in traditional Korean medicine. The purpose of this study is to examine effects of dichloromethane fraction Phlomidis Radix on Bone Formation in Human Fetal Osteoblasts. Human fetal osteoblastic cell line(hFOB1 1.19 ;American Type Culture Collection, Manassas, VA) were used and cells were cultured containing DMEM and dichloromethane fraction Phlomidis Radix(100 ng/ml , 1 ${\mu}$/ml, 10 ${\mu}$/ml) at 34$^{\circ}C$ with 5% $CO_2$ in 100% humidity. MTT was performed to examine the viability of the cell, and alkaline phosphatase activity was analyzed to examine the mineralization. Also bone calcification nodules were evaluated. The cellular activity of hFOB1 was increased in 100 ng/ml, 1 ${\mu}$/ml , 10 ${\mu}$/ml of dichloromethane fraction of Phlomidis Radix and especially significant increation was showed in 100 ng/ml of dichloromethane fraction of Phlomidis Radix at 6days (p <0.05). ALP level of hFOB1 was significantly increased in 100 ng/ml , 1 ${\mu}$/ml, 10 ${\mu}$/ml of dichloromethane fraction of Phlomidis Radix and especially more increation was showed in 10 ${\mu}$/ml of dichloromethane fraction of Phlomidis Radix (p <0,05). Calcification nodules of hFOB1 significantly increased in 10 ${\mu]$/ml of dichloromethane fraction of Phlomidis Radix at 21 days of incubation(p<0.05). The results indicate that dicholoromethane fraction of Phlomidis Radix has excellent effects on mineralization of hFOB1.
