      • Malassezia pachydermatis에 의한 세포 내 Tyrosinase 저해제의 생산

        A yeast strain SL-27 found to produce active intracellular tyrosinase inhibitor was screened from 972 kinds of yeasts. It was identified as Malassezia pachydermatis based on microbiological characteristics. The optimum pH and temperature for the growth of Malassezia pachydermatis SL-27 were pH 7.0 and $37^{\circ}C$, respectively. The optimal culture conditions for the production of tyrosinase inhibitor by Malassezia pachydermatis SL-27 were investigated. The optimal medium cimposition for tyrosinase inhibitor production was determined to be 1.0% casamino acid, 2.0% glucose, 0.1% $KH_2PO_4$, 0.05% $MgSo_{4-}7H20$ and each 0.01 of $CaCl_2$ and NaCl. Optimal initial pH and temperature for the production of tyrosinase inhibitor were pH 5.0 and $30^{\circ}C$, respectively. The maximum tyrosinase inhibitory activity of 84%/mL of cell-free extract was showed after 12 h of cultivation under the optimal culturing conditions.

        한방치료의 체지방 및 복부비만 감소효과

        Objectives: This study was to investigate the reductive effects of oriental medicine on the body fat and abdominal obesity, Methods: The subject were selected among the patients who were treated with 4weeks total program, visited our obesity clinic from October 1999 to August 2000, We practiced combined therapy such as herbal medicine, acupuncture therapy, moxibution therapy, negative therapy, auricular acupuncture, electrolipolysis, colon hydrotherapy, heat therapy, Chuna therapy, low-calorie diet teaching, exercise teaching, and correcting life style for 4 weeks. Results and Conclusion: 1. Body weight, RBW, and BMI were significantly reduced each by 5.4kg, 10.4% and $2.2kg/m^2$ (p<0.01). 2. % Body fat was significantly reduced by 3.3%. Fat mass was reduced by 4.0kg(17.0%) and soft lean mass was reduced by 1.5kg(3.7%), thus it was acknowledged that fat mass was significantly reduced compared to soft lean mass by oriental medicine treatment for obesity. 3. WHR was significantly reduced by 0.02. Waist circumference was reduced by 6cm(6.6%) and hip circumference was reduced by 4.5cm(4.6%), thus it was acknowledged that waist fat was significantly reduced compared to hip circumference by oriental medicine treatment for obesity.

        리튬이차전지용 Si-M (M : Cr, Ni) 합금 음극의 미세구조와 전기화학적 특성

        본 실험에서는 리튬이차전지의 고용량 음극활물질로 주목받는 Si 합금의 부피팽창을 억제하기 위한 방법의 하나인 비활성-matrix상을 이용하고, 상태도를 이용하여 동일한 용량을 발현하는 Si계 이원계 합금 (Cr-Si, Ni-Si) 조성에서의 미세구조 및 전기화학적 특성을 비교/분석하였다. 급속응고공정(Rapid Solidification Process, Melt-spinning법)를 이용하여 동일조건하에서 리본 모양의 합금을 제작하였고, 제작된 리본합금은 동일조건에서 분쇄하여 X-선회절 (X-Ray Diffraction) 분석을 실시하였다. XRD 분석 결과, 상태도에서 예측된 것과 같이, 두 합금 모두 Si 상 및 비활성-matrix상($CrSi_2$ 및 $NiSi_2$)이 관찰되었으며, 이외의 제3의 상은 관찰되지 않았다. 또한, 주사전자현미경(SEM, Scanning Electron Microscope) 및 투과전자현미경-에너지분산분광법(TEM-EDS, Transmission Electron Microscopy - Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy)으로 미세구조를 살펴본 결과 Cr-Si 합금의 미세구조가 Ni-Si 합금보다 fine한 것을 알 수 있었고 이것은 상태도로부터 예측 가능하였다. 두 합금 조성에서 미세구조에 따른 전기화학적 특성을 비교 평가하기 위해 코인형 하프셀과 풀셀로 충방전 실험을 진행하였고 이와 별도로, 전극의 두께변화 측정이 가능하게 설계된 시험셀을 이용하여 반응 중 Si의 수축팽창을 측정하였다. coarse한 미세구조를 가진 Ni-Si 합금보다 fine한 미세구조를 갖는 Cr-Si 합금의 전극팽창이 비교적 잘 억제됨을 확인하였고, 충방전에 따른 수명 내구성도 우수함을 확인하였다. 이런 결과들로부터 합금의 조성에 따른 미세구조, 체적변화 및 전기화학적 열화와의 연관성을 유추할 수 있었다. To compare the microstructure and electrochemical properties between two binary alloys (Cr-Si, Ni-Si), two composition of binary alloys with the same capacity were selected using phase-diagram and prepared by matrix-stabilization method to suppress the volume expansion of Si by inactive-matrix. Master alloys were made by Arc-melting followed by fine structured ribbon sample preparation by Rapid Solidification Process (RSP, Melt-spinning method) under the same conditions. Also powder samples were produced by wet grinding for X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and electrochemical measurements. As predicted from the phase diagram, only active-Si and inactive-matrix ($CrSi_2$, $NiSi_2$) were detected. The results of Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopy - Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (TEM-EDS) show that Cr-Si alloy has finer microstructure than Ni-Si alloy, which was also predictable through phase diagram. The electrochemical properties related to microstructure were evaluated by coin type full- and half-cells. Separately, self-designed test-cells were used to measure the volume expansion of Si during reaction. Volume expansion of Cr-Si alloy electrode with finer microstructure was suppressed significantly and improved in cycle capability, in comparison Ni-Si alloy with coarse microstructure. From these, we could infer the correlation of microstructure, volume expansion and electrochemical degradation and these properties might be predicted by phase diagram.

        λ/4 흡수층 구조를 갖는 NDIR 이산화탄소 가스센서용 적외선 센서의 제조 및 특성

        A noble infrared $\lambda/4$ absorbing structure using metal reflector was studied for uncooled infrared sensors. This paper described the design and the fabrication of IR uncooled detectors which were composed of 21 by 21 elements using the surface micromachining technology. The characteristics of the array were investigated in the spectral region of 4.26 ${\mu}m$. The fabricated detectors exhibited the thermal mass of $9.75\times10^{-9}$ J/K, the thermal conductance of $1.31\times10^{-6}$ W/K, the thermal time constant of 7.4 ms, the responsivity of $1.07\times10^5$ V/W and the detectivity of $1.04\times10^9$ $cmHz^{1/2}/W$, at the chopper frequency of 10 Hz and the bias current of 9.22${\mu}A$. Finally the absorptance efficiency of $\lambda/4$ absorbing structure was about 23.2 % higher than that of absence absorbing structure.

        차량 내 탑승자 상태 인식용 적외선 센서의 제조 및 특성

        A noble infrared sensor was studied for passenger conditional detection in vehicle, This research relates to uncooled infrared sensors for detecting the presence, type and temperature of occupants in vehicle. It sense that the occupants purpose to control the smart airbag for safety in the case of adult or child and to control the automatic air conditioning for convenience. This paper described the design and the fabrication of microbolometers which were composed of 2 by 8 elements using the surface micromachining technology. The characteristics of the array were investigated in the spectral region of $8{\sim}12{\mu}m$. The fabricated detectors exhibited the thermal mass of $7.05{\times}10^{-9}\;J/K$, the thermal conductance of $1.03{\times}10^{-6}\;W/K$, the thermal time constant of 6.8 ms, the responsivity of $2.96{\times}10^4\;V/W$ and the detectivity of $1.01{\times}10^9\;cmHz^{1/2}/W$, at the chopper frequency of 10 Hz and the bias current of $4.4{\mu}A$. We could successfully detect the human body condition in the divided zone. As a results, we concluded that microbolometer optimized in this research could be useful for the application of passenger conditional detection in vehicle.

        수리모형실험과 수치해석을 통한 자연형어도의 어류서식처 평가

        최근 하천환경을 보전하고 하천개발이 필요한 경우라도 가급적 자연에 가까운 하천생태계를 보전하려는 노력이 점차 증가하고 있다. 하천에 보설치 등 단절이 발생할 경우, 어종 다양성을 확보하고 기존생태계를 보전하기 위한 노력으로 어도를 설치운영하고 있으며, 현재 하천에 설치되어 있는 어도에 대하여 그 기능에 대한 충분한 검토가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 수리모형실험을 통해 백제보 우안에 설치된 자연형어도의 수리특성을 분석하였다. 수리특성분석결과, 어도의 흐름은 우점종인 피라미 서식조건 범위내의 수심과 유속을 갖는 것으로 나타나 적정 설계기준을 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 자연형어도의 적정성을 평가하기 위하여 2차원 수치해석모형을 이용하여 평수량 흐름에 대한 가중가용면적을 산정하였다. 자연형 어도의 웅덩이 폭을 변화시켜가면서 가중가용면적을 비교 검토한 결과 피라미의 성어기에서는 현재 웅덩이 폭이 가장 적정한 것으로 나타났으며, 산란기에서는 현재의 어도에 비해 웅덩이 폭을 1m 증가할 때 가장 큰 가용면적을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. It is increasing to make an efforts on preventing natural river environment and preserving natural river ecosystem as development is unavoidable. In the case of inconsistent river flow caused by reservoir development, fishway is an alternative to secure fish diversity and preserve existing river ecosystem but existing fishway was established without full study for their functions. In this study, hydraulic characteristics of natural fishway established on Beakje weir's right side were analyzed. The results show that the fishway has reasonable depth and velocity condition which inhabit condition is enough for a dominant species. For assessing the optimal design of fishway, the Weighted Usable Area (WUA) was calculated by using two dimensional numerical model under the ordinary flow condition. The comparison results for various pool widths in the fishway show that the designed width has maximum WUA for adult Zacco platypus but WUA is maximized with 1m wider pool width than designed width for spawning.

        자화수에서 계면활성제 임계미셀농도 변화에 관한 연구

        자화수는 물분자의 수소결합에 의한 배열이 특이한 구조를 갖게 됨에 따라 다양한 물리 화학적 성질을 나타낸다. 본 연구에서는 자화수가 계면활성제의 임계미셀농도 (critical micelle concentrations, CMC) 변화에 미치는 영향을 다음과 같이 관찰하였다. $25\;{^{\circ}C}$에서 전도도계(conductivity meter)를 이용하여 음이온 계면활성제인 SDS (sodium dodecyl sulfate)와 양이온 계면활성제인 CTAB (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide)의 CMC를 측정하였고, 표면장력계를 사용하여 SDS와 CTAB 그리고, 비이온 계면활성제인 Pluronic F-68의 CMC를 측정하였다. 또한 Isothermal titration calorimeter (ITC)를 이용하여 $25\;{^{\circ}C}$에서 SDS의 열량변화를 측정하여 CMC의 변화율을 측 정하였다. 결과적으로, 자화수에서 계면활성제의 CMC는 증류수에 비해 현저하게 낮아지는 경 향을 보였는데, SDS는 자화수에서 약 $2.7{\sim}6.5$% 정도 낮아짐을 보였고, CTAB는 자화수에서 약 $2.3{\sim}3.0$% 정도 낮아짐을 보였으며, Pluronic F-68은 자화수에서 약 24.2% 정도 낮아짐을 보였다. The magnetized water is known to have a unique pattern of hydrogen bond between water molecules, thereby producing different physicochemical properties from the ordinary water. We have examined the effect of magnetized water on the change of critical micelle concentrations (CMC) of some surfactants. The CMC changes of SDS (sodium dodecyl sulfate) and CTAB (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) dissolved in the magnetized water have been determined by the conductivity measurement at $25\;{^{\circ}C}$ and that of SDS, CTAB and Pluronic F-68 have also been examined by the surface tension method at $25\;{^{\circ}C}$. The CMC variation of SDS was examined by ITC (Isothermal Titration Calorimeter) at $25\;{^{\circ}C}$. The CMC of SDS, CTAB, and Pluronic F-68 are more decreased in the magnetized water, SDS is about $2.7{\sim}6.5$25 %, CTAB is about $2.3{\sim}3.0$%, and Pluronic F-68 is about 24.2 %, than in the control water.
