In order to complement the defects of a ballasted track requiring continuous maintenance and a concrete track where the initial construction cost is expensive, research on an asphalt concrete track that is easy to maintain, economical and environmentally friendly is underway. In order to investigate the safety and the applicability of the asphalt concrete track, the test construction was carried out on the Kyeongbuk line. In this study, when the Mugunghwa train runs on the asphalt concrete track, the wheel load and lateral wheel load measured through the sensors installed at the rails were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the track performance test standard was satisfied.

Reinforced earth structure has been regarded as general structure in order to achieve efficient land utilization as well as securing safety in railway service lines in other countries, but there are no construction actual results in Korea. In this study, tile soil-geogrid interaction mechanism was investigated experimentally and numerical analysis was performed to predict Pull-out behaviour of geogrid embedded in reinforced earth body. This experimental data and analysis result can not contribute to understand the soil-geogrid interaction mechanism at soil-geogrid interface but also be used in design practice of the railway reinforced earth structures.
광폭침목형 아스팔트콘크리트 궤도의 열차 주행 시 거동 분석

자갈궤도와 콘크리트 궤도의 장점을 결합하고 단점을 상호 보완한 신개념 궤도시스템인 아스팔트 콘크리트 궤도에 대한 연구를 수년간 수행하여 왔다. 그 동안의 연구결과를 바탕으로 국내 최초로 아스팔트콘크리트 궤도를 영업선에 시험 부설하여 현장설치 시험을 진행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 시험 부설된 광폭침목형 아스팔트콘크리트 궤도에 대해 열차 주행 시 측정된 윤중, 횡압, 레일 저부 응력, 레일 및 침목의 수직변위를 이용하여 광폭 침목형 아스팔트콘크리트 궤도의 거동 특성을 분석하였으며, 분석 결과 광폭 침목형 아스팔트 콘크리트 궤도는 궤도 안전성을 만족하기 위한 요구 사항을 만족하고 있는 것을 확인하였다. Asphalt concrete track has been studied for a few years, which is a new concept railway track that combines the advantage between ballasted track and concrete track. Based on the results of the study, asphalt concrete track was inceptively constructed on the commercial line in Korea and field test is in progress. In this study, wheel load, lateral load, stress of rail bottom surface, vertical displacement of rail and wide sleeper were measured in wide sleeper type asphalt concrete track during train operation. The behavior of wide sleeper type asphalt concrete track was analyzed by the measured results. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that wide sleeper type asphalt concrete track was fitted to the requirements for track safety and stability.

In this study, the simulated cyclic train loading test was carried out in order to investigate the dynamic behavior in/at the block type reinforced earth retaining wall. The results in this test were compared with unreinforced and reinforced case, respectively. It was shown that we confirmed the correlation between earth pressure and displacement, the confining effect of wall displacement by the effect of geogrid.
미세 딤플 가공 표면의 수력학적 윤활특성에 대한 수치해석

This study deals with the numerical investigation on two-dimensional lubrication characteristics of micro-dimple shapes fabricated on solid surfaces by using the commercial CFD code (Fluent V.6.3) to examine the influence of micro dimple depth and width on the reduction in friction under the sliding plate condition. In addition, single and multiple dimple arrays are simulated, all for a fixed area fraction of dimple on the surface. As a result, it is found that the existence of micro-dimpled surface makes it possible to substantially reduce the friction forces exerted on the surfaces, and such an optimum dimple depth would be present because the dimple depth larger than the optimum value did no longer affect the reduction in shear stresses, indicating that the reduction of friction is likely to be associated with inner flows of lubricant inside dimples. Moreover, it is observed that at the fixed area fraction, the friction reduction increases with the increase of dimple diameter.
패널형 아스팔트콘크리트 궤도의 열차 주행 시 거동 분석

건설비 저감 및 효율적인 선로 유지보수를 목적으로 무도상 궤도의 일종인 아스팔트 콘크리트 궤도에 대한 연구를 수행하여 왔다. 그 동안의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 국내 최초로 아스팔트콘크리트 궤도를 영업선에 시험 부설하여 현장 설치시험을 진행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 시험 부설된 패널형 아스팔트콘크리트 궤도에 대해 열차 주행 시의 윤중, 횡압, 레일저부 응력, 레일 및 패널의 수직변위를 측정하였다. 측정된 결과를 통해 패널형 아스팔트콘크리트 궤도의 거동 특성을 분석하였으며, 분석 결과 궤도 안전성을 만족하기 위한 요구 사항을 만족하고 있는 것을 확인하였다.
