With great interest about IGCC(Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle) which is one of the potential technology of Low Carbon Green Growth, Korea government launched second stage of 300㎿ demo-IGCC plant construction project.(Project Supervisor : KEPCO, Plant Owner : Korea Western Power Corporation) This korea first IGCC plant will be constructed in Tae-an in 2015, but the low availability and operability issues are raised because there is neither any IGCC plant operation experiences nor skilled operator From other IGCC plants experiences in the world., we get to know that gas turbine failures are main source of low availability. Thus to enhance the combustion performance and reliability in the combined cycle island, coal-derived synthetic gas combustion performance test was conducted in KEPCO research institute. Combustion test was conducted in high pressure high temperature condition with the gas turbine model combustor of GE7EA. From the test, some important characteristics of coal gas including turbine inlet temperature, dynamic pressure, NOx emission and combustion efficiency etc. was revealed. The results of the test can be able to be utilized for the operation and diagnostics of IGCC plant.

IGCC technology makes it possible to utilize the low cost and clean electricity generation from coal, biomass, petroleum coke, wastes and etc. On top of that, IGCC is pre-requisite to develop the technology of CCS and hydrogen generation from coal. This study was conducted to verify the combustion performance of synthetic gas and to identify potential problems when synthetic gas is fuelled to a gas turbine. GE7EA gas turbine of Pyong-Tak power plant was selected for this study. Combustion tests were conducted by comparing hydrogen and carbon monoxide synthetic gas with methane, which is a major component of natural gas, in terms of combustion instability, NOx emission, and the exit gas temperature of the combustor. From the results of the fuel nozzle temperature we have ascertained that syngas is easy to flash back, and this property should be considered when operating a gas turbine and retrofitting a burner.

DME (Dimethyl Ether, CH₃OCH₃) has highly attracted attention as an alternative fuel for transportation, power generation and LPG substitute owing to its easy transportation and cleanliness. This study was conducted to verify the combustion performance and to identify potential problems when DME is fuelled to a gas turbine. GE7EA gas turbine of Pyong-Tak power plant was selected as a target to apply the DME. Combustion tests were conducted by comparing DME with methane, which is a major component of natural gas, in terms of combustion instability, NOx and CO emissions, and the outlet temperature of the combustion chamber. The results of the performance tests show that DME is very clean but has a low combustion efficiency in low load condition. From the results of the fuel nozzle temperature we have ascertained that DME is easy to flash back, and this property should be considered when operating a gas turbine and retrofitting a burner.

With great interest about energy and environmental concern, high efficient small gas turbine with distributed power generation is introduced as one of the potential solution for that problems. Using these atmosphere as the background, an experimental study on the double-swirl vertical type combustor of Doosan heavy industry 5 ㎿e class gas turbine was conducted and the combustion efficiency, pressure fluctuation and NOx emission characteristics were investigated. After diagnosing the combustion performance, the tuning test was conducted to optimize the combustion performance. Thus this paper presents the simple methods and detailed results of combustion tuning test as well as the combustion characteristics of double swirl vertical type combustor.
충돌 시뮬레이션을 활용한 강재-FRP 합성 방호울타리의 성능평가

본 논문에서는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 강재-FRP 합성 교량용 방호울타리의 성능을 분석하였다. FRP는 Surface veil, DB 그리고 Roving 섬유로 구성하였다. FRP의 적층을 고려하기 위해 LS-DYNA에서 제공하는 재료모델 MAT58을 사용하였다. 강관과 FRP의 접촉조건을 고려하기 위해 Spot weld 옵션을 사용하였다. 실차충돌 실무 업무편람에 따라 구조적 강도성능, 탑승자 보호성능 및 충돌 후 차량의 거동에 대한 성능평가를 실시하였다. 강재-FRP 합성 방호 울타리는 성능평가를 만족하였다. In this study, the performance of a steel-FRP composite bridge safety barrier was evaluated through vehicle crash simulation. Surface veil, DB and Roving fibers were used for FRP. The MAT58 material model provided by LS-DYNA software was used to model FRP material. Spot weld option was used for modeling contact between steel and FRP beam. The structural strength performance, the passenger protection performance, and the vehicle behavior after crash were evaluated corresponding to the vehicle crash manual. As the result, A steel-FRP composite safety barrier was satisfied with the required performance.

국내 스마트폰 시장은 사용자 수 2000만 명 시대를 향해가고 있다. 사람들은 PC를 사용했던 것과 같이 모바일 기기도 최대한 활용하고자 노력하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 기반의 모바일 기기를 PC와 연결된 터치패드로 활용할 수 있도록 하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이는 기존 터치패드가 가지는 휴대성 부분의 단점을 개선할 방안이 된다. 또한 터치패드 구현에서 그치는 것이 아니라 불안정한 네트워크 환경에서도 효과적으로 사용할 수 있도록 연구를 진행하였다.
