Recently, the cases of using friction welded SUH35/SUH3 tend to increase in the field of automotive engine valves. It is required that stress singularities under residual stress with loads on an interface for friction welded dissimilar materials are analyze to establish strength evaluation method, In this paper, strength evaluation method of friction welded materials was investigated by boundary element method and static tensile testing. An advanced method of quantitative strength evaluation for SUH35/SUH3 friction welded material is to be suggested by establishing fracture criterion by using stress singularity factors.

rotary type heat and mass exchanger is used in ventilation system. it is very difficult to estimate the inner physical phenomenon of enthalpy exchanger because the heat and mass transfer occur at the same time. so, the design model to make the enthalpy exchanger is insufficiency. the analysis model is come from the Kurzweg model adding the mass transfer. to simplify of the theoretical analysis , it is necessary to linearization assumption of atmospheric air. the dimensionless parameters that play dominant role in performance of enthalpy exchanger is induced.

Recently, A desiccant cooling system is attracting attention as one of the alternatives to prevent environmental destruction. Adsorption isotherm and diffusivity of desiccant material are major characteristics determining the performance of the desiccant cooling system and desiccant rotor. In this study, we manufacture a novel polymeric desiccant and measure adsorption, characteristics using constant-volume variable-pressure(CVVP) method. The measured adsorption isotherm is greatly influenced by relative humidity rather than temperature. The polymeric desiccant adsorbs water vapor by 40% and 80% of desiccant weight when relative humidity is 40% and 60% respectively. It adsorbs more than nine times than Silica-gel at 20℃. Diffusivity ranged from 7×10 ̄¹² to 2.5×10 ̄¹¹ ㎡/s. It shows tendency that the diffusicity increased with relative humidity up to 30% and decreased with higher relative humidity.
