현재 우리나라 대부분의 사무실 및 학교교실에는 형광등 스위치가 창측, 중간, 복도측등으로 회로가 분리되어 있으나 날씨가 맑고 태양빛이 많이 비치는 경우(기준조도 이상)에도 창측의 형광등이 항상 켜져 있는 경우가 대부분 이므로 외부 쪽 창측에 설치되는 형광등기구에 외부광량(일조량)에 따라 자동으로 ON, OFF되는 센서가 부착된 형광등기구를 사용하여 에너지가 절감될 수 있는 방안을 연구 하고자 한다. Recently, the circuits of fluorescent light-switches are separated for window-light, middle-lights, or corridor-light, etc in most offices and classrooms in this country. Although it is clean and shiny - more than standard intensity of illumination, it is common that fluorescent lights on the side of window are lighted. In this case, we can use a fluorescent light with a sensor, which is turned on and off automatically according to the amount of sunlight. I think that this plan can save energy, reduce the budget, and increase the effect of education. and so I studied on this plan.
빠른 조류 환경에서의 재킷식 해양구조물 시공 중 및 운영 중 장기 변형률 계측 및 분석

이 연구에서는 빠른 조류 환경에서의 재킷식 해양구조물인 울돌목 시험조류발전소 구조물에 대한 시공 중 및 운영 중 변형률을 장기 계측하여, 계측 자료를 다양하게 분석하였다. 우선 구조물 시공 단계별 변형률 응답의 변화를 분석하여, 양중, 블록재하, 파일 인발 및 근입 등의 작업 시 변형률에 큰 변화가 발생함을 제시하였다. 또한 재킷 레그 절단과 같은 구조변경 후의 고정하중 및 조류하중에 의한 변형률 변화를 분석하여, 조류하중보다는 고정하중에 의한 변형률의 변화가 크게 발생함을 확인하였으며, 운영 중 계측 결과로부터 주요 변동 주기 성분을 분석하여, 변형률 계측 자료에 M2 및 M4 조석 성분과 동일한 주기를 갖는 장주기 성분이 가장 크게 존재함을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 변형률 기반의 구조 건전성 모니터링에 있어 중요한 변형률 예측 모델을 신경망 기반으로 작성하여, 조류 유속 및 조위에 따른 변형률을 합리적인 수준에서 예측할 수 있음을 확인하였다. In this study, structural strain responses of the jacket-type Uldolmok tidal current power plant structure under severe tidal environments were measured and analyzed using long-term measurement system during construction and also operation. It was observed that there were significant changes in strain responses at the steps of jacket lifting, block loading, pile ejection and insertion. Strains due to dead loads and tidal loads were analyzed before and after removal of a jacket leg, and it was also found that the strains due to dead load were much significantly changed after jacket leg removal. From the measurement data during operation, it was found that strain responses were fluctuated with M2 and M4 tidal periods and also relatively short period of about 10 min due to the peculiar tidal characteristics in the Uldolmok strait. Finally, the neural network-based non-parametric estimation models were investigated to build up the signal-based structural damage monitoring system.
울돌목 시험조류발전소 구조물 안전감시시스템 구축에 관한 연구

In this paper, we described the fundamental concepts of proposed structural health monitoring system for Uldolmok Tidal Current Power Plant focusing on the use of smart sensors including fiber bragg grating sensors and macro fiber composite sensors. The structural health monitoring system can play an important role to maintain the structural safety for offshore structures like as bridges and high-rise buildings. In the case of tidal current power plant, the monitoring system is much more important since the structures are usually constructed at the site with severer environmental loadings such as high current speed.
동적 경사 응답을 이용한 재킷식 해양구조물의 장기 동특성 모니터리이 및 조류 영향 분석

재킷식 해양구조물인 울돌목 시험조류발전소에 대하여 장기 모니터링을 통하여 구조물 동적 응답을 계측하였으며, 계측된 동적 응답 중 저주파수 거동을 정밀하게 계측할 수 있는 동적 경사응답을 이용하여 구조물의 고유주파수 및 모드감쇠비를 추정하고, 이와 같은 동특성이 조위와 조류 유속 등 외부 환경에 의하여 어떤 영향을 받는지를 분석하였다. 제한된 수의 응답 계측 자료로부터 구조물의 고유주파수 및 모드감쇠비를 정밀하게 추정하기 위하여 개선된 실험모드해석 방법인 LS-FDD방법을 제안하였으며, 제안된 실험모드 해석 기법을 이용하여 울돌목 시험조류발전소의 동적 경사 응답을 분석하여, 주요 3차모드의 고유주파수와 모드감쇠비를 정밀하게 추정하였다. 추정된 동특성은 시간에 따라 크게 변동하며, 이러한 변동은 조석의 영향을 지배적으로 받고 있음을 기계열 분석 및 주파수 분석을 통하여 알 수 있었다. 또한 울돌목 시험조류발전소에서 관측한 일정 기간의 조위 및 조류 유속 자료를 이용하여, 구조물의 동특성과 조류 자료 사이의 상관관계를 분석하였고, 조위 및 유속 자료만으로 구조물의 동특성을 예측할 수 있는 모델식을 결정하였다. Dynamic responses were measured using long-term monitoring system for Uldolmok tidal current pilot power plant which is one of jacket-type offshore structures. Among the dynamic quantities, the tilt angle was chosen because the low frequency response components can be precisely measured by dynamic tiltmeter, and the natural frequencies and modal damping ratio were successfully identified using proposed LS-FDD(least squared frequency domain decomposition) method. And the effects of tidal height and tidal current velocity on the variation of natural frequencies and modal damping ratios were investigated in time and frequency domain. Also the non-parametric models were tested to model the relationship between tidal conditions and modal properties such as natural frequencies and damping ratios.
수직축 조류 터빈 발전효율 평가를 위한 유동-터빈 연동 CFD 해석 (II)

CFD (computational fluid dynamics) analyses that considered the dynamic interaction effects between the flow and a turbine were performed to evaluate the power output characteristics of two representative vertical?axis tidal?current turbines: an H?type Darrieus turbine and Gorlov helical turbine (GHT). For this purpose, a commercial CFD code, Star?CCM+, was utilized, and the power output characteristic were investigated in relation to the scale ratio using the relation between the Reynolds number and the lift?to?drag ratio. It was found that the power coefficients were significantly reduced when the scaled model turbine was used, especially when the Reynolds number was lower than 105. The power output characteristics of GHT in relation to the twisting angle were also investigated using a three?dimensional CFD analysis, and it was found that the power coefficient was maximized for the case of a Darrieus turbine, i.e., a twisting angle of 0°, and the torque pulsation ratio was minimized when the blade covered 360° for the case of a turbine with a twisting angle of 120°.

The Korean peninsula has a number of coastal sites where the rhythmic rising and lowering of water surface due to tides results in strong tidal current. The kinetic energy of these currents can be efficiently exploited by use of tidal current turbines. The pilot tidal current power plant is to be constructed at the Uldolmok narrow channel between J info and Haenam, Our ins next Year, and extensive coastal engineer ing research works have been carried out. This paper describes and analyzes some observation results of field test about the efficiency of Helical turbine for tidal current power plant. The efficiency of turbine, which is diameter 2.2m and height 2.5m, is evaluated meximum RPM, torque, and current velocity. The tested turbines had the maximum efficiencies of the bounds of 25 to 35% in the current velocity range between 1.4 and 2.6 m/s. This result shows that the pilot tidal current power plant needs three helical turbines with diameter 3.0m and height 3.6m to produce electric power 500kW.

A MBES (multibeam echo sounder) survey around Yokji Island, Korea, was conducted to find an effective method for removing error data. Two post-processing software programs, PDS2000 (RESON) and HIPS (CARIS), were used to remove the error data using an interactive editing method and the CUBE algorithm filter. The post-processing with the PDS2000 and HIPS programs, using the interactive editing method, took 120 and 168 hours, respectively, and there was little difference in the seafloor images. The processing time of the PDS2000 and HIPS programs using the CUBE algorithm filter was 36 and 60 hours, respectively. Nevertheless, there was little difference in the seafloor images because of differences in the factor parameters in each of the post-processing programs. Therefore, post-processing using CUBE filtering can save time in data processing and provide consistent results, excluding the subjective decisions of the operator. This method is more effective than other methods for rejecting erroneous multibeam echo sounder data.

It is well-known that the resources for tide and tidal current energy are abundant in Korea. The south coast in Korea is recognized as one of the most appropriate places in the world for developing tidal current energy. The target site for harnessing tidal current energy is the Uldolmok, where the strongest tidal current in Korea occurs. In order to commercialize and industrialize the tidal current power generation, the construction of pilot tidal current power plant of 1MW has been started in April 2006, and is expected to be completed by May 2007. Extensive works including field investigation, field experiment for evaluating the efficiency of helical turbine and numerical analysis have been performed. This paper present the several design parameters for constructing the Uldolmok pilot tidal current power plant.
