Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between personality type and learning style. Methods: The subjects for this study were 228 nursing students attended 4 year nursing school. The instruments used for this study were MBTI and ILS. The collected data were analyzed by x2-test using SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: The most common personality type was ISTJ (19.7%) while the most common learning styles were reflective, sensing, visual, and sequential (24.1%). There were significantly difference between learning style and MBTI type. The higher their preference of I type is, the higher reflective (x2=7.82, p=.004) it gets. The higher their preference of S type is, the higher sensing (x2=31 .16, p.cz.001) and sequential (x2=4.88, p=021) they get. The higher J type Is, the higher sensing (x2=6.48, p=.009) it gets. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that there is a need of assessment program to diagnose learning style according to personality type in nursing students. We need to develop various learning strategies to improve learning health and effectiveness according to personality type with learners.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find out whether there was any difference in critical thinking skills according to the methods of teaching-learning in freshmen. Methods: The subjects of this study were 608 students from health science colleges. They were selected through proportional quota sampling based on major and entrance quota. The teaching-learning methods and health science reasoning test (HSRT) questionnaire were used for data collection. Descriptive statistics and ANOVA test were performed for data analysis. Results: The most preferred method of teaching-learning was the integrative lecture of theory and practice covering 45.6%. The mean total critical thinking skills score was 15.41 points out of 33 points. There was a significant difference in total critical thinking skills score according to the preferred methods of teaching-learning. In other words, in the case of learners with the critical thinking skills, those who preferred the multiple methods developed much more than the others who preferred the typical method of teaching-learning. Conclusion: The finding of this study reflects the learner preferred methods of teaching-learning. In order to develop critical thinking abilities of nursing students, their preferred methods of teaching-learning should be considered.

In recent years, many attempts have been made to examine the effects of forest therapy on health and to develop related policies. This study aimed to explore the current status of health promotion programs using forests provided by public health centers and to identify program diffusion strategies employed within different communities. Methods: For this descriptive study, we analyzed the 5th regional public health care program plans and explored the perceptions of health care workers attached with the programs using open-ended questionnaires and a focus group interview. Results: This study confirmed the necessity for health promotion programs using forests, as well as administrative and educational demands for such programs. The target population of the programs ranged from individuals with specific diseases to healthy local residents. In addition, the programs covered a wide range of topics, including disease management and health promotion strategies. However, the number of well-structured regional specialized programs remained limited. Collaboration among local governments, schools, and public health centers was found to be ineffective. Conclusion: To further disseminate health promotion programs using forests, the central government will need to develop well-structured programs, provide funding and resources to support local governments, and focus on raising public awareness of the health benefits of forest therapy.
