본 연구의 목적은 한글해득을 위한 기초 어휘를 선정하는 데 있다. 한글해득에서 기초 어휘는 초등학교 1학년 수준에서 일상생활의 문자 언어를 사용하기 위해 필수적으로 알고 있어야 하는 의미 단어를 말한다. 기초 어휘는 한글해득의 범위를 결정하는 데 중요하고, 한글해득의 지도와 평가의 자료가 되고, 기초문식성의 토대가 된다. 기초 어휘를 선정하기 위하여 초등학교 1-2학년군 국어 교과서에 제시된 843개의 어휘를 대상으로 전문가 중요도 평정을 하였다. 최종 선정된 기초 어휘는 총 712개로 매우 쉽다가 31개(3.8%), 쉽다 270개(32.0%), 보통이다 411개(48.7%)로 나타났다. 기초 어휘 전체의 품사 비율은 명사가 497개(70%), 동사가 87개(12.1%), 형용사가 60개(8.4%), 부사가 68개 (9.5%)이었다. 기초 어휘는 다른 품사에 비해 명사가 많고, 주변 생활 범위에 따라 세단계 수준으로 구분된다. 또한 추상적인 낱말보다 구체적인 낱말이 많고, 형태론적 특징뿐 아니라 의미론적 특징을 함께 고려한다. The purpose of this study is to select the basic vocabulary for Hangeul Learning. Basic vocabulary is a meaning word that must be known in order to use everyday language of everyday life at the first grade level of elementary school. The basic vocabulary is important for determining the scope of the Korean reading, and it becomes the basis for the guidance and evaluation of the Korean reading, and the basis of beginning literacy. In order to select the basic vocabulary, 843 vocabularies presented in the first and second grade Korean language textbooks were evaluated. The final choice of basic vocabulary is very easy, with 712 (3.8%), 270 (32.0%) and 411 (48.7%). 497 (70%) of the nouns, 87 (12.1%) of the verbs, 60 (8.4%) of the adjectives and 68 (9.5%) of the adverbs were the parts of the basic vocabulary. The basic vocabulary is more noun than the other parts of speech and is classified into three levels according to the range of surrounding life. In addition, there are more concrete words than abstract words, and we consider not only morphological features but also semantic features.
