In practical application of FGM(Functionally Gradient Material) into Machinery, the optimum gradient must be determined for its best function and the using condition. Generally, strain and strain energy are used as criterions to determine the optimum gradient of FGM, but the general gradient determinants concerning the temperature difference between matrix and reinforcement and the thickness of FGM and ratio of other material properties are rare. In this study, the temperature gradient and the volume fraction were set to solve the general determination of gradient of FGM with factors such as the temperature difference between matrix and reinforcement, the thickness of FGM and ratio of other material properties.

The plastic products were almost produced by injection molding assembly. That needs the screw or the hook for assembly each parts. However, this study"s products assembly by the hook instead of the screw second assembly. These hooks’ size from 0.1mm to 10㎜ are required. There are made by a highly accurate transform core insert to injection molds, these products are not separated by injection mold, because that transform core’s under-cut"s size to products’s crack or deformation. Products productivity have critical important point that the other two or more products should be assembled by the hook after completion of molding from the injection mold. The dimensions of the hooks should be made very precisely. In this study, we suggested the improvement of optimizing the position of the ejector pin with using Finite Element Analysis about design changes in the undercut and the improvement of ejector pin. Also, we suggested the presented improvement about produced the injection mold using Finite Element Analysis results and result effects were verified.
