Objectives: To investigate the perceived quality of classes, academic emotions, and learning achievement levels associated with the non-face-to-face classes of health science students, and to analyze the factors related to class satisfaction. Methods: Using a questionnaire, 238 health science students were surveyed regarding the quality of classes, academic emotions, and learning achievement levels. Factors related to calss satisfaction were analyzed using stepwise multiple regression. Results: Lecture types that the students were most satisfied with were ‘video lectures using PPT’ and ‘recorded lectures provided by LMS’, while ‘real-time video lectures’ were scored the lowest (p=0.005). Factors affecting non-face-to-face class satisfaction were perceived achievement (β=0.425, p<0.001), learning content (β=0.265, p<0.001), learning emotion (β=0.171, p<0.001), and learning environment (β=0.137, p=0.012). The adjusted explanatory power for this model was 63.9%. Conclusions: To increase the satisfaction of health science students with non-face-to-face classes, it is necessary to prepare an institutional foundation and to develop an educational program that can increase perceived achievement.

The study used ethnographic research methods to analyze children"s social power in daily routines at a kindergarten. Participants were 31 five-year-olds and 2 teachers. Study results were as follows. First, “helping”, “asserting logically”, “making compromises” and “mediating conflicts” characterized the positive social power of children. Actions used to describe the negative social power of children were “looking down on other children”, “showing off”, “commanding”, “persisting”, “taking advantage of others”, “monopolizing”, “stealing” and “rejecting”. Second, responses to the positive social power of children were “appreciating” and “accepting”. The following responses to the negative social power of children were “resisting”, “refuting”, “rejecting”, “ignoring” and “evading”. Children"s social power seriously influences developing and maintaining their relationships with each other. They can influence other children"s cognition, behavior, and emotions through the use of social power and subsequent responses. Thus, teachers should try to understand types of social power between children, helping them develop desirable relationships with others. Furthermore, teachers should teach children to understand the influence of social power and use it in a right way.

Objectives: This study aimed to examine the opinions of registered dental hygienists (RDH) and dental hygiene students (DHS), professionals who can practice visiting oral health care (VOHC), and the demand for specialized training courses of RDH for VOHC. Methods: Using a Google online survey, 125 RDH and 106 DHS personnel were surveyed on their perception of VOHC and the operation of special training courses. Results: RDH (97.6%) and DHS (96.1%) agreed that they needed VOHC for older people. Moreover, the qualification course for specialized training for VOHC was considered necessary. Regarding the appropriate curriculum, RDH preferred training programs comprising 2-hours classes over 6 months and 15 weeks and so on, and DHS preferred 3 hours classes over 6 months and 15 weeks and so on. Regarding the desired working type, the RDH preferred the half-day system, whereas the DHS preferred the alternate-day system. The Korean Dental Hygienists Association was intended for human resource development. They agreed that continuing education was necessary when working as a visiting RDH, and many responded that they would participate if a specialized training course was opened. Conclusions: RDH and DHS have a high level of awareness of the importance and necessity of VOHC, and consider a specialized training qualification course necessary for efficient VOHC.
