LES모델을 이용한 희박 예혼합 연소기에서 NOx 배기특성에 관한 연구

A lean premixed combustor had been simulated using commercial code, STAR-CD. The combustor is simplified where about 650 thousand cells were formed. Instead of changing the number of inlet nozzles from six to one, the same flow rate and velocity are maintained. As well as experimental methods, simulation is very crucial for the analysis of flow fields. Inlet and boundary conditions of the simulation are similar to real on the base of operating conditions of power plant. The result simulated with LES model is compared with that of κ-ε model. Velocity and temperature obtained by the two models along the downstream of the combustor are compared. Nitrogen dioxides, carbon monoxide have been calculated with varying equivalence ratio, inlet air temperatures and initial pressures with total 27 cases. Swirl number 0.78 is applied. The result shows that NOx emissions increased as equivalent ratio, inlet air temperature and initial pressure increased respectively. The region with higher NOx concentration region corresponds with the region over 1900K indicating the dominance of thermal NOx mechanism.
통합수질지수 및 오염부하자료를 이용한 공릉천 유입지천과 본류의 오염특성 분석

In this study, we identified the major pollution-zones of the mainstream and its tributaries of Gongneung stream and investigated their pollution sources based on water quality, flowrate and pollution-load data of the stream having the characteristics of the urban-rural complex to examine the effect of the tributaries on the water quality changes in the mainstream. The water quality and flowrate data were collected for 10 months (2018 ~ 2019) at 3 points of mainstream and ten tributaries. Water quality index (WQI), load duration curve (LDC), discharge load density (DLD)and delivery ratios for each tributary were obtained so as to investigate the pollution characteristics and some of the information visualized on GIS. The main pollution-zone in the Gongneung stream was in the middle and lower streams, and the tributaries that may affect the pollution of the area were JS, JY, SL and SM. JS and SL had low WQI levels (34.7/37.5) and DLD (kg/d/km<sup>2</sup>) of BOD and T-P were relatively high in JY (99.2/6.00) and SL (60.0/2.07). BOD and T-P delivery ratios in JS were high (0.94/0.83), suggesting that JS had significant influence on the water quality of the main pollution-zone in the Gongneung stream. Meanwhile, SM having a high T-P delivery ratio (0.97) was found to be more affected by the non-point source due to the higher LDC excess rate (%) in the low flow compared to high flow. This study provides basic data on the water quality and pollution characteristics of the Gongneung stream, and the analysis results are expected to be used as examples for identifying the main pollution-zone and tributaries of stream and their pollution sources.
한국인 조현병 환자에서 ST8SIA2 유전자 다형성의 연합 연구

Objectives : ST8SIA2 (ST8 alpha-N-acetyl-neuraminide alpha-2, 8-sialyltransferase 2 gene) is located at 15q26, a susceptibility locus for schizophrenia. Some previous research had indicated that single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the promoter region of ST8SIA2 were associated with schizophrenia in Japanese and Chinese populations. We investigated the association between SNPs in the promoter region of ST8SIA2 and schizophrenia in the Korean population. Methods : The study subjects were 190 Korean patients with schizophrenia and 190 healthy controls. We performed allelic, genotypic, and haplotypic association analyses for rs3759916, rs3759915 and rs3759914 of ST8SIA2. All genotypes were determined by direct sequencing. Results : In the genotype-based analysis, rs3759914 showed a nominally significant association with schizophrenia under recessive genotypic model (p = 0.047). However, this association did not remain statistically significant after correction for multiple testing. Both allelic and haplotype analyses did not show any significant association. Conclusions : These findings suggest that ST8SIA2 does not play a major role in the susceptibility to schizophrenia in the Korean population. Further studies with a larger number of subjects are required to definitively rule out minor effects of this gene on schizophrenia vulnerability.

The traumatic ventricular septal defect (VSD) is a rare but potentially life threatening complication of chest wall injury. The traumatic VSD occurs in up to 4.5% of penetrating cardiac trauma. Most of the patients are usually operated on because of heart failure and/or significant left-to-right shunt. The feasibility of surgical repair under cardiopulmonary bypass may be affected by coexisting pulmonary, cerebral or other vascular injuries. Transcatheter closure of VSD is being considered as an alternative therapeutic modality to surgery in order to avoid the potential risk of cardiopulmonary bypass. We report a patient who underwent a successful transcatheter closure of VSD with an $Amplatzer^{(R)}$ VSD occluder. The patient had a residual VSD with significant left-to-right shunt after surgical repair of post-traumatic VSD using cardiopulmonary bypass. 흉부 관통상에 의해 심실중격결손이 동반된 대부분의 환자들은 내원 시 활력징후가 불안정하여 심폐소생술 및 응급 개흉술을 시행받게 되는데, 이러한 경우 심장과 흉부 손상의 위치 및 정도에 대한 자세한 검사가 이루어지지 않은 상태이므로 발견되지 않았거나 잔존하는 이상 소견들이 수술 후 검사에서 발견될 수 있고 이에 대한 재수술을 필요로 하는 경우도 있다. 심실중격결손의 심도자술을 통한 폐쇄는 수술을 대처할 수 있는 방법으로서, 특히 수술 후 잔존하는 단락의 경우 이차 수술의 위험을 피할 수 있다. 저자들은 흉부 자상에 의한 심실벽의 열창 및 심실중격결손을 수술적 방법으로 봉합한 후 잔존하는 심실중격결손을 기구($Amplatzer^{(R)}$ VSD occluder)를 이용한 중재적 심도자술로 치료한 증례를 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고한다. 심도자술 6개월 후 시행한 심초음파검사에서 잔존하는 심실 좌우 단락은 없었고, 심실 크기와 기능도 정상이었고, 현재 상태는 양호하여 정상적으로 학교생활을 하고 있다.
레이저 기반 표면 열처리 및 클래딩을 이용한 SUS 316 판재 성형성 향상

We propose a practical method for increasing formability of a sheet metal plate using laser heat treatment (LHT) and cladding process. In this work, two kinds of process such as laser-induced heat treatment and cladding were utilized to evaluate the effect on formability of SUS316 sheets with different thickness of 1 and 3 mm. By using a vertically line-patterned tensile specimen that was LHTed or cladded on its surface, the process parameters of each surface treating method were studied and optimized. Through the basic test, we knew that the laser power of 900 W and scanning speed of 500 mm/min was the best condition for increase of formability. As the treatment results, ultimate tensile strength and elongation were increased as approximately 2.1 and 7.0%, respectively. To verify the usefulness of this work in industrial cases, we conducted a bulging test using with and without LHTed SUS316 sheet metal blanks. The results show that the bulging height of LHTed sheet was increased by 73% compared to that of the original one.
