Aggression and aggressive behaviors, often explained as harmful social interaction with the intention of hurting or inflicting damage upon another, have been considered as an adaptive mechanism from the evolutionary psychological point of view. However, various studies on aggression and aggressive behaviors have been done with psychopathological approach as the extreme aggressive behaviors may harm themselves and others at the same time. Recently, researchers have attempted to explain aggression in terms of neurobiological substrates rather than based on traditional psychopathological and/or behavioral concept. In this regard, there have been findings of differences in neurotransmitters and their receptors, and genetic polymorphisms. In this review article, we provide a brief overview of the literature about seven most frequently reported neurotransmitters including neurohormones (serotonin, norepinephrine, dopamine, gamma-aminobutyric acid, nitric oxide, oxytocin and vasopressin) and an associated enzyme (monoamine oxidase A), which are known to be related with aggression and aggressive behaviors.

Criminology has been understood within a sociological framework until the emergence of neurocriminology, which describes, understands and predicts criminal behaviors from a neurobiological point of view. Not only using biological factors including genes and hormones to understand criminal behaviors, but also using neuroimaging techniques, the field of neurocriminology aims to delve into both structural and functional differences in the brain of individuals with aggression, antisocial personalities, and even the criminals. Various studies have been conducted based on this idea, however, there still are limitations for the knowledge from these studies to be used in the court. In this review article, we provide an overview of the various research in neurocriminology, and provide insight into the future direction and implication of the field.

The effects of nanotexturing and post-etching on the reflection and quantum efficiency properties of diamond wire sawn (DWS) multicrystalline silicon (mc-Si) solar cell have been investigated. The chemical solutions, which are acidic etching solution (HF-HNO₃), metal assisted chemical etching (MAC etch) solutions (AgNO₃-HF-DI, HF-H₂O₂-DI) and post-etching solution (diluted KOH at 80℃), were used for micro- and nano-texturing at the surface of diamond wire sawn (DWS) mc-Si wafer. Experiments were performed with various post-etching time conditions in order to determine the optimized etching condition for solar cell. The reflectance of mc-Si wafer texturing with acidic etching solution showed a very high reflectance value of about 30% (w/o anti-reflection coating), which indicates the insufficient light absorption for solar cell. The formation of nano-texture on the surface of mc-Si contributed to the enhancement of light absorption. Also, post-etching time condition of 240 s was found adequate to the nano-texturing of mc-Si due to its high external quantum efficiency of about 30% at short wavelengths and high short circuit current density (Jsc) of 35.4 A/cm².
다이아몬드 분말상에 무전해 Ni-B 도금을 위한 계면활성제의 영향

The properties of electroless Ni-B thin film on diamond powder with different parameters (temperature, pH, surfactant etc.) were studied. The surface morphology, structure and composition distribution of the Ni-B film were observed by field effect scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), energy-dispersive spectrometer (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Auger electron spectroscopy (AES). The growth rate of Ni-B film was increased with increase of bath temperature. The B content in Ni-B film was reduced with increase of bath pH. As a result the structure of Ni-B film was changed from amorphous to crystalline structure. The PVP in solution plays multi-functional roles as a dispersant and a stabilizer. The Ni-B film deposited with adding 0.1 mM-PVP was strongly introduced an amorphous structure with higher B content (25 at.%). Also the crystallite size of Ni-B film was reduced from 12.7 nm to 5.4 nm.
