Objectives:The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of venlafaxine, one of novel antidepressant drugs, on neurite growth in PC12 cells. Methods:PC12 cells were cultured with NGF for eight days. Then different concentrations($0{\mu}M$, $1{\mu}M$, $5{\mu}M$) of venlafaxine were mixed with cultured PC12 cells. After 24 hours and 48 hours of culture, we compared the effects of venlafaxine on the total length of neurites of cultured PC12 cells between no venlafaxine treated group($0{\mu}M$) and venlafaxine treated groups($1{\mu}M$ and $5{\mu}M$). Additionally, we studied the concentration-dependent effect of venlafaxine on differentiation in PC12 cells. Results:Experimental results showed that 1) the mean length of neurites in $1{\mu}M$ and $5{\mu}M$ venlafaxine treated group was more increased than no venlafaxine treated group(p=0.002). 2) the length of neurite in $5{\mu}M$ venlafaxine treated group was more elongated than $1{\mu}M$ venlafaxine treated group(p=0.046). 3) the length of neurite in $6{\mu}M$ venlafaxine treated group was more elongated than all the other concentrations in our experiment. Above $6{\mu}M$, the length of neurite was shortened in inverse proportion to the concentration of venlafaxine. Conclusions:This results suggest that venlafaxine, one of novel antidepressant drugs, promotes the differentiation of neuron. This study is believed to be a first step toward understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms of antidepressant treatment.

A Study on the Thermal Analysis of Induction Hooting Cooker with Finite Element Method

본 논문에서는 유도가열조리기의 효과적인 설계를 위하여 입력주파수 변화에 따른 유도가열조리기의 자계와 열계 해석 방법을 제시하였다. 유도가열조리기의 내부자계는 3차원 축대칭 유한요소법을 사용하여 해석하였으며, 열원은 유도가열조리기의 내부에서 유도된 와전류에 의하여 발생되고, 열은 열원과 열방정식을 사용하여 계산되어진다. 또한, 유도가열조리기의 온도특성을 스테인레스와 알루미늄 각각에 대하여 주파수와 투자율에 따라 제시하였다. Recently, induction heating cooker(IH-Cooker) is very interested for high efficiency, the quickness of heating time and the convenient regulation of heating spot. In this paper, we proposed the magneto-thermal analysis of an induction heating cooker(IH-Cooker) as an efficient design, and analyzed the magnetic fold intensity inside the axisymmetric shaped cooker using three-dimensional axisymmetric finite element method(Flux2D) and the effectual heat source was obtained by ohmic losses from eddy currents induced in the cooker. Also, we presented the temperature characteristics of the IH-Cooker according to input frequency and relative permeability in stainless parts and in aluminum parts.

한국에서 우울증의 비약물학적 치료의 현황과 요구도

Objectives : As a part of plan to develop evidence-based treatment guidelines for depression that is more suitable for Korean situation, we investigate the present status and client's requirements for non-pharmacological treatment of depression in Korean clinical situation. Methods : Subjects were patients with depression in 12 university hospitals which are located in metropolises in Korea. We analyzed the records from questionnaires about current clinical status and requirements for the non-pharmacological treatment of depression in Korea. Results : 50.8% of the subjects have experienced non-pharmacological treatments for their depression. The preference of non-pharmacological treatment method of depression is exercise/interesting activity, counseling by psychiatrists and psychotherapy, and the best effective treatment method is psychotherapy (Es=4.36). Actually, the mean consultation time by psychiatrist is $11.31{\pm}7.16$ min, and the appropriate consultation time for client's situation is $18.39{\pm}8.95$ min. During consultation, patients' satisfaction measurement for psychiatrist's explanation about pharmacological treatment is $64.17{\pm}27.11$, and satisfaction measurement for psychiatrist's counseling for their depression about personal problems, resent stress, interpersonal relationship is $61.66{\pm}26.63$. Conclusion : In Korea, many psychiatrists offered biologically oriented treatment to their patients with depression, and patients' satisfaction measurement about consultation by psychiatrists is low. Many patients wanted to combined pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment for their depression, and aspired to information about complementary and self-help treatment methods. It is necessary to develop non-pharmacological treatment guideline for depression which reflect the clinical situation in Korea and meet Korean patients' need.

Overloading of electrical equipment results in excessive currents. As the heat developed in the cables is proportional to square of the current, they get overheated. The insulation on cables is generally made of materials which are damaged easily by excessive temperature. They may therefore lose their insulating properties and lead to short circuits. Since many insulating materials are combustible, they may even catch fire if the temperature rises to their ignition temperature. In this paper, we have simulated the thermal analysis for cable according to the value of current in a overload and a short with the cable of the L's company product(600 V, VV : Four Core) using the electro-thermal finite element method(Flux2D).

기후변화와 관광수요 관계에 관한 연구:

본 연구는 인간의 쾌적 상태와 기분을 결정짓는 기후요소가 기후변화에 의해 장기적으로 관광수요에 미치는 영향과 변화를 논증하기 위한 목적으로 기후쾌적성 개념을 실증분석에 도입시키는 연구접근방식을 취했다. 분석결과, 첫째, 기후쾌적성은 관광수요에 직접적 영향을 미치는 수요유발 요인임을 확인했다. 둘째, 기후변화에 의한 기후요소 변동은 남해안 해상 국립공원이 내륙에 위치한 국립공원에 비해 기후쾌적성지수(AT)상승경향이 더 뚜렷했다. 셋째, 국립공원 가운데 기후쾌적성 변동 영향에 의해 관광수요가 가장 민감하게 반응한 공원은 월악산국립공원, 속리산국립공원, 지리산국립공원, 오대산국립공원, 변산반도국립공원 등으로 나타났다. 그러나 한라산국립공원은 기후쾌적성에 비탄력적 결과를 보였다. 그 이유는 제주도의 입지적 특성, 풍부한 자원성, 지역의 기후적 특성 등으로 관광수요가 연중 일정한 것에서 기인하는 현상으로 추정된다. 연구결과를 통해 기후변화는 장기적으로 관광수요의 변화를 수반하고 관광산업 전반에 재구조화가 예상된다. 그리고 기후쾌적성은 개인의 신체적 상태와 감정적 관여를 동반하는 주요 경로로서 수요의 결정기제에 매력요인이 되고 있음을 실증하여 수요연구의 논의를 진전시켰다는 점에서 학문적 의미가 있다. he purpose of this research is to demonstrate how a climatic element which determines comfort status and mood of human beings influences and changes the tourism demand in the long term based on the climate change. To achieve this purpose, an approach was utilized to introduce the concept of climate comfort to an empirical analysis. As a result of conducting this analysis, such climate comfort was found to be a factor having a direct influence on the tourism demand. As far as the changes in a climatic element caused by the climate change are concerned, it was confirmed that the maritime national park located in the southern coastal region of Korea indicated a higher increase in the climate comfort index(AT) in comparison to the national park located in the inland region. Based on the results acquired in this research, it can be expected that the climate change will accompany changes in the tourism demand in the long term, and, thereby, have an inevitable influence on the overall restructuring of the tourist industry. In addition, this research is academically significant in that it brought progress in the discussion of the researches on tourism demand through demonstrating that the climate comfort not only considerably influences physical status and emotional status of human beings, but also serves as an attraction factor that contributes to the demand-determining mechanism.

차별화 된 서비스를 제공하는 MPLS 기반의 VPN 구조 설계 및 구현

본 논문은 MPLS 기반의 VPN 서비스를 제공하고 각 VPN 사이트가 요구하는 QoS를 제공할 수 있는 에지 라우터를 설계하고 구현한다. 에지 라우터 설계를 위하여 라우팅과 시그널링 프로토콜을 기반으로 하는 제어 구조와 패킷 포워딩을 위한 데이터 구조를 설계하고 이를 이용하여 각각의 기능적 블록간의 인터페이스를 설계한다. 또한 에지 라우터의 설계를 기반으로 차별화 된 VPN 서비스를 제공하는 MPLS 기반의 VPN을 구현하고, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 설계된 에지 라우터 간 차별화 된 경로를 설정해 줌으로써 VPN 사이트 간에 요구되는 대역폭과 지연 등 트래픽 특성을 보장해 줄 수 있음을 확인한다. In paper, we present design and implementation of MPLS based VPN with QoS capabilities. We propose a design architecture of an edge router for MPLS based VPN with QoS capabilities in backbone network. We design functional blocks, interface specifications, detail routing and forwarding information based structure, and packet forwarding engine for the purpose of implementation of an edge router. We extend bgp-4 software for implementation differentiated service packet forwarding schemes in MPLS based VPN.
