실리콘-금속 접합을 기반으로한 의료용 자동노출제어장치 센서 개발 연구

디지털 X-ray 영상을 구현하기 위한 노력과 더불어 장비 사용의 편이성과 환자 피해를 최소화시키기 위한 연구가 지속적으로 병행되고 있으며 그 결과물로 APR(Anatomical Programmable Radiology), X-선 자동노출제어장치(AEC: Auto Exposure Control) 등이 개발되어 장비에 적용되고 있다. 현재 상용화된 AEC 센서는 Air type과 반도체 type 으로 구분되며, Air type의 경우 낮은 광전 흡수율에 의한 이온쌍 유도에 어려움과 DR 장치에 적용하기에 두께가 제한적인 문제점이 있다. 또한 반도체 type의 경우는 제작 공정이 복잡하며, 단가가 비싸고 제작 센서를 최종적으로 제작하는데 시일이 오래 걸린다는 문제점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존 AEC 센서가 가진 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 방안으로 제작 공정이 간편하고 X-ray 반응 신호 특성이 우수한 실리콘-금속 접합을 기반으로한 자동노출제어장치 센서를 제작하여 디지털 방식의 X-ray 장비에 적용 가능성에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. With the recent efforts to implement digital X-ray images, continued research is being undertaken to improve the usability of devices and to minimize patients’ exposure to X-rays. Therefore, technologies such as anatomical programmable radiography (APR) and auto exposure control (AEC), which is an automatic X-ray exposure control device, were developed and applied to medical equipment . The current commercial AEC sensor is of two types: Air-type and semiconductor type. The drawbacks of the air-type sensor include its limited thickness that hinder its application to DR devices and the difficulty of inducing ion pairs because of the low rate of photoelectric absorption. The semiconductor-type 센서 also has disadvantages such as complex manufacturing processes, high unit costs, and long lead-time for the final product. This study was conducted to seek solutions for those problems with the semiconductor-type AEC sensor, among other conventional AEC sensor types, and to examine the applicability of such solutions to digital X-ray equipment.
