From Jan. 1, 2020, public buildings above overall area of 1,000m2 should get the Zero Energy Building Certification. The building energy saving design code was reinforced on Sep. 1, 2018 and the building fire safety code was also reinforced on Aug. 6, 2019. This study investigated the recently reinforced building energy saving design code and building fire safety code and presented the required thickness of various insulations to meet the reinforced building insulation and fire safety code. The result of this paper also presented non-combustible insulations which can be used as exterior insulations for the buildings above 3 stories. Non-combustible Glass wool 48K, Mineral wool, Phenol Foam, Low-Emissivity Hybrid Insulation and Vacuum Insulation Panel for the exterior wall of apartment buildings in central 1 region can be used as thick as 220mm, 255mm, 130mm, 100mm and 20mm, respectively.

Building energy saving has been one of our greatest concerns due to the energy crisis and global warming. In this respect, building energy code is gradually getting stricker than that in any other time. As the thickness of the insulation required to satisfy the reinforced regulation is getting larger, the existing resistive insulations such as polystyrene foam board or fiberglass matt could barely be used in a single material constitution. This study presents the possibility of complex insulating wall combination using reflective insulation. Reflective insulation works when it faces air spaces and its surface has low emissivity under 0.05. In this study, the variables affecting the thermal resistance of reflective insulation were investigated. and the calculating methods for the thermal resistance of reflective air space and the solid wall structures were studied through literature survey. This study shows the possible complex insulation wall combinations suitable for the reinforced exterior wall insulating regulations. The configuration contains exterior insulation using reflective insulation in addition to the existing interior insulation.

The purpose of this study is to suggest typical types of research laboratories which can be a standard for the preliminary design For this, a process is tried to analyze functional areas and the movement systems which have a direct impact tin the basic types to identify a meaning of inter-relationships between them This study concerns the comparison and analysis of existing types that flows out from surveys of 30 research laboratory buildings Even though there are 4 existing standards based on the Japanese resources, then are too old and restrained to apply to the flexible design for the modern research laboratories According to analysis of 30 laboratories, this study suggests a new fundamental types that types that may be useful for the preliminary laboratory design

In Korea, five-day workweek system has been started in official business, so that the interest for resort or leisure facilities has tremendously increased. However, there are no certain concept and arranged data about these facilities to meet today's demand in case of architectural design aspect. The purpose of this study is to provide the architectural design characteristics of Korean resort through analyzing existing facilities. For this, this study is focused on survey of 53 samples based on the 6 type's of resort classification. The results of this analysis are summarized as follows; 1. In terms of a site plan, most resorts adopt the centralized and high-rise type as a popular site use. On the other hands, decentralized type is on a little portion of all resort as 10%. 2. In terms of a floor plan, a complex plan of hotel and apartment unit plan is the most popular plan which has middle aisle and rectangular shape. Area of unit is mainly composed of 66m²~99m² in case of condominium. Above 32% of all accommodations has 201~300 rooms and also over 70% of buildings are middle or high-rise shape. 3. In terms of an elevation design, there are few cases to adopt traditional style and material to their own building as a harmony with surrounding nature. In case of mass, 5~9 stories buildings are over 80% of all resort. Most buildings has been used an outer insulation system, called 'Dry-Bit' as an exterior material so that color choice is one of the tool for a change of exterior image.
