This paper explains control methods of single-phase grid connected battery charger. Charging mode is control by Constant Current - Constant Voltage method and discharging mode is controlled by active-reactive power control method. Current control method is based on the synchronous reference frame(SRF) PI controller, and the second harmonic of battery current is compensated by an added L-C resonant circuit. Feasibility of the proposed control methods is verified through experiment with a prototype of 5kW single-phase grid connected battery charger.

Although facilities for the passive treatment of AMD (Acid Mine Drainage) are currently operating in Korea, their removal efficiency for heavy metals is relatively low in average (only 80%). Passive treatment system is composed of oxidation tank, SAPS (Successive Alkalinity Producing System), and wetland. In the treatment system adopted in korea, SAPS (Successive Alkalinity Producing System) plays a major role to remove about 65% of heavy metals through a precipitation. However, the efficiency of SAPS is limited due to the use of mushroom compost (MC) as a organic material and of limestone as a neutralizer. Therefore, this research was performed to search for alternative organic materials through the field test. We tested two types of mixed organic materials: 1) cow manure and spent oak (herein, CO) and 2) cow manure and sawdust (herein, CS). For comparison mushroom compost (herein, MC) was also tested. The result showed that the average Fe removal efficiency was 91.38% with CO, 85.19% with CS, and 91.58% with MC. Thus, CO can be effectively used as an alternative of MC in the SAPS system for heavy metals removal.

As the target area of this study, the coal mine site of Dongwon Sabuk mine.,ltd. is located in the remote mountainous region. To purify the acid mine water contaminated with heavy metals, a pilot-scale plant was built at the surrounded area of a mine shaft and operated to simulate active treatment system that could not only possibly setup the facility in a small available area, but also has a high efficiency. According to the various conditions of basin sequence, existence of sludge return, and lime injection position, six different types of treatment series were investigated in terms of treatment efficiency. As a result, the aluminum concentrations of the most effluents were in the range of 0.005~0.030 mg/L, which was too low to compare. The manganese concentration in the treated water were in the range of 3~9 mg/L, not following any regular trend. As found in the results of iron concentration, the case of addition of oxidation and sludge return steps showed higher efficiency than the others. As a standpoint of the installation of full-scale physicochemical treatment facility, the experimental results showed that the batch of oxidation and high density sludge return processes are existed and neutralization was followed by oxidation, had a stable treatment efficiency.

Anogenital infection with human papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections worldwide. The majority of HPV infections are transient and subclinical, with subsequent clearance by the immune system. However, in some individuals, especially those with impaired immunity, HPV infection may persist and result in condyloma acuminatum, pre-cancerous cervical abnormalities, as well as cervical cancer. Because of the intrinsic immunological aberrations and immunosuppressive treatment, patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) have higher prevalence of anogenital HPV infection, and SLE itself appears to be a major risk factor for HPV infection. HPV infection is sexually transmitted via genital contact; autogenesis of condyloma acuminatum without sexual contact is rare. In this case, a 27-year old virgin female with SLE was admitted to our clinic, presenting anogenital condyloma acuminata. It report that SLE patient can have a disease of anogenital HPV infection, despite the lack of sexual contact. Therefore, we recommend that patients with SLE have regular gynecological evaluations, in addition to prophylactic HPV vaccinations.
