For the prevention of depletion of energy resources and global warming in the world, efficient use of energy is required. By a global movement like this, the most important issue in the automobile field is improved fuel efficiency in recent. In order to improve the fuel efficiency of automobiles, improving performance of air conditioning system is the most important. In this study, it has been the design of the sub-expansion system has enough sub-cooling is obtained in the condenser outlet. In this system, the triple tube heat exchanger and the refrigerant expansion circuit is installed in the condenser outlet for performing heat exchange even more. The experimental results, sub-expansion system confirmed cooling performance to be better than 8% of the existing system.

The threat of high oil price and the harmful environmental effect from fossil fuels trigger intesive investigation on Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs). PHEV has rechargeable batteries that can be restored to full charge by connecting a plug to an external electric power source. Generally, PHEV is driven by the power from the battery and an internal combustion engine. The optimal control strategy for the power split ratio is essential to minimize fuel consumption and to satisfy the drive"s demand. However, PHEV with one point operating engine has not been studied yet. In this paper, the optimal control algorithm for the power split ratio to minimize the fuel consumption of PHEV with one point operating engine.
