Verrucous carcinoma is a form of epidermoid carcinoma of the oral cavity, the typical ora lesion differs from the usual oral epidermoid carcinoma in that it is generally slow growing chiefly exophytic and superficially invasive at least until late in the course of the disease with low metastatic potentiality, mean occurrence age of 60 to 70 years with about 75 percent of the lesion developing in males. This article is a case report of verrucous carcinoma from left side mental portion to right mandibular posteriors, age 75 female with chief complaint of severe masticational inability due to large tumor mass in the oral cavity. For the treatment the author performed combination chemotherapy with cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil infusion of two cycles before surgical excision, and then the lesions showing partial response of tumor size were removed completely and one more cycle combination chemotherapy applied by same procedures after surgery. Postoperatively the results showed good prognosis without recurrence signs at present. But the prognosis heeds to investigate by periodic examinations.

The ameloblastoma is a true neoplasm of enamel organ type which does not undergo differentiation to the point enamel organ. It usually occurs between the ages of 20 and 50 years. This tumor is the most aggressive of the odontogenic tumors of the jaws and occur about 80% in the mandible. The tumor is slow growing, the average duration before treatment being five to eight years. Clinically the lesion may appear normal or be enlarged with displacement and malocclusion of regional teeth, facial disfigurement according to growth of the tumor mass. Recurrences are common (about 33%), but this is probably due to incomplete removal of lesion. The author had operated a patient, 36-year-old female immediate reconstruction with metal plate and screw fixation after hemimandibulectomy with recurred ameloblastoma involving from posteriors to condyle head at right side mandible. By the prosthetic implant operation, I obtained favorable results of good function, short intermaxillary fixation periods and easy operation procedure than the other reconstruction methods but showed esthetically problem of slightly facial disfigurement by follow up check after 1 year.

Facial nerve paralysis following delayed complication after trauma was rare and hard to find reason After symptom of facial nerve paralysis was found, careful clinical and neuropathic investigation needed through electromyography and nerve conduction velocity. It is necessery to Hewing that functional degenaration of nerve conduction was irresible or not. It is important to determine if palsy is already present alter trauma or some later time because origin of viral infection or temperature change may possible.

Lymphangioms are uncommon lesions of the lymphatic system which usually occur in the head and neck;involvement of the tognue is rare. The treatment of lymphangioma has a long history of attempted and failed modalities. The treatment of choice is surgery in lymphangioma, and other treatment modialities are less sensitive than in hemangioma. We present a clinical case of multiple lymphangioma in the cervicofacial region. We had performed repeated intralegional injection of OK-432 on lymphangioma and got a good result.

Cyclosporine A (CsA) is a powerful immunosuppresive agent used to prevent graft rejection of organ and treat autoimmune disease. One of the major side effects associated with CsA treatment is the development of gingival overgrowth. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mRNA expression and association of the several growth factors in gingival overgrowth induced by CsA, respectively. Gingival fibroblasts were obtained from gingival tissues of healthy donor and the patients treated with CsA. The cultured gingival fibroblasts were incubated with increasing concentrations of CsA for 24 hours, and the expression of MMP-1, TIMP-1, $TGF-{\beta}_1$, p21 were determined by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The expressions of MMP-1 was slightly increased according to the concentration of treated CsA, but there was no statistical significance. TIMP-1 showed the increased expression at the CsA concentration of 250 and 500 ng/ml and significantly decreased at the CsA concentration of 750ng/ml. $TGF-{\beta}_1$ showed the increased expression at the CsA concentration of 500 and 750 ng/ml. The expression of p21 was not changed significantly. We concluded that the gingival hyperplasia induced by CsA was more related with $TGF-{\beta}_1$ than MMP-1 or TIMP-1 on gingival collagen metabolism in patients treated with CsA.

Cyclosporine A(CsA) is a powerful immunossuppresive agent used to prevent graft rejection of organ and treat autoimmune disease. One of the major side effects associated with CsA treatment is the development of gingival overgrowth. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the expression and association of the several growth factors in gingival overgrowth induced CsA using by immunohistochemical technique. Normal tissues as control were obtained from healthy normal gingivae and overgrowth gingival tissues as experiments were obtained from the patients taken the CsA. The expressions of the MMP-1, TIMP-1, TGF$\beta$-1, p21, p53, PCNA were evaluated by immunohistochemical technique. The more overgrowth was detected at the epithelial and connective tissue area in experimental group. The MMP-1, TGF$\beta$-1, p21, p53, PCNA expressions were significantly increased in experimental group. The TIMP-1 expressions was not significantly increased in experimental group. We could conclude that the gingival overgrowth induced CsA was related with the collagen matabolism in connective tissue and also the production of the growth factor from epithelial tissue.

Systemic lupus erythematosus is a severe cutaneous-systemic disorder of unknown etiology, It is represented with erythematous patches on the face in a so-called butterfly distribution, and characteristically classified as an autoimmune disease with antinuclear antibodies. The autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, $Sj{\ddot{o}}gren$ syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis have been associated with lymphoid malignancy - leukemia, malignant lymphoma - which could involve various organs(spleen, liver, brain, mediastinal lymph node, supraclavicular lymph node, inguinal lymph node, cervical lymph node etc.). Many authors have studied about the association of systemic lupus erythematosus and malignant lymphoma, but exact etiology is still unknown. A common viral etioloty for systemic lupus erythematosus has been suggested since virus-like particles have been found in the glomerular endothelium of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. These oncogenic viruses may be responsible for the higher frequency of malignant lymphoma in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. In the other theory, the causes of malignant lymphoma are the defect of immune system due to systemic lupus erythematosus and the long-term use of therapeutics for treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus. When the cellular immune system(delayed hypersensitivity) is impaired by immunosuppressive drugs, it is likely that the body is no longer able to recognize and reject malignant cells as they arise; they continue to grow and divide unhindered. The impairment of the cellular immune system may allow growth of oncogenic virus or the survival of neoplatic tissues. 47-year old female patient treated systemic lupus erythematosus with steroid and immunosuppressive drugs for 5 years visited to our hospital due to elevated mass on left upper anterior maxilla area. By performing biopsy, we diagnosed this lesion as malignant lymphoma and referred to oncologist for chemotherapy. So we report a case of malignant lymphoma due to systemic lupus erythematosus with review of literatures.
