        연주빌렛의 비파괴 검사를 위한 초음파 센서의 응용

        Steel wires are made by elongating hot billets. If the billets have internal or surface defects, the wire can be broken during elongation process. After testing surface defect, we are testing internal defect by ultrasonic transducers. POSCO is producing two kinds of billets, hot rolled billet and cast billet. Hot rolled one is denser than cast billet. Because of the low density and rough surface, ultrasonic testing is difficult for the cast billet. Size of the transducer was related with the size and density of the billet. A transducer having 21mm long, 8.5mm wide and 0.95mm thick piezoelectric ceramic plate was best for 160mm x 160mm cast billet. Center frequency of the transducer was 2.25MHz and the focus distance was 70mm.

        전자상거래 촉진을 위한 공유키 기반 신용카드 조회 시스템

        본 논문에서는 전자상거래 시스템에서의 보안 문제를 해결하기 위해 신용카드 조회 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 전자 상거래시 PC에서 신용카드 조회기를 사용하면 키보드 입력 없이 신용카드 조회기에서 신용카드를 읽어 신용카드 결재를 수행한다. 새로운 신용카드 조회 시스템은 신용카드 조회기 내부의 칩에서 공유키 기반으로 신용카드 정보를 즉시 암호화하여 호스트 시스템에 보냄으로써 키보드 해킹 위험에서 안전하다는 장점이 있다. 신용카드 조회 시스템의 암호화/복호화를 위해 quotient ring 에 기반한 행렬 연산을 사용하였으며, 암호화의 안전성을 위해 모든 암호 대상 데이터에 대해 서로 다른 암호 행렬을 생성하는 방법을 제시하고, 서로 다른 암호 행렬을 구성하기 위해 요구되는 암호키의 크기 및 행렬의 크기를 산출하였다. 신용카드 결재를 위하여는 소량(0.1KB) 의 데이터가 요구되므로, 암호키의 크기가 128bits만 되어도 역행렬을 고려한 $2{\times}2$ 행렬의 경우 좋은 성능을 보이는 것으로 분석되었다. 신용카드 조회 시스템을 인증용으로 사용하기 위하여는 0.5KB 이상의 데이터가 필요하므로, 암호키의 크기가 256bits 이상에서 $2{\times}2$ 행렬의 경우 좋은 성능을 보이는 것으로 분석되었다. 신용카드 조회 시스템을 인증용으로 사용하기 위하여는 0.5KB 이상의 데이터가 필요하므로, 암호키의 크기가 256bits 이상에서 $2{\times}2$ 행렬의 경우 좋은 성능을 보이는 것으로 분석되었다. 신용카드 조회 시스템을 인증용으로 사용하기 위하여는 0.5KB 이상의 데이터가 필요하므로, 암호키의 크기가 256bits 이상에서 $2{\times}2$ 행렬이나 $3{\times}3$ 행렬을 사용하면서 역행렬을 고려하는 것이 좋은 것으로 분석되었다. In this paper, the magnetic sensing system is designed and implemented for the safe security in internet commerce system. When the payment is required inthe internet commerce system, the magnetic sensing system will get the information from a credit card without keyboard input and then encrypt and transmit the information to server. The credit card sensing system, which is proposed in this paper, is safe from keyboard hacking because it encrypts card information immediately in its internal chip and sends the information to host system. For the protection of information, the magnetic sensing system is basically based on a synchronous stream cipher cryptosystem which is related to a group of matrices. The size of matrices and the bits of keys for the best performances are determined for various cases. It is shown that for credit card payments. matrices of size 2 have good performance even at most 128bits keys with the consideration of inverse matrices. For authentication of general-purpose data, the magnetic sensing system needs more than 1.5KB data and in this case, the optimum size of matrices is 2 or 3 at more 256bits keys with consideration of inverse matrices.

        ACL 알고리즘을 이용한 자동차 번호판 영역 추출에 대한 연구

        In recognition system of the car license plate, the most important is to extract the image of the license plate from a car image. In this paper, we use ACL (Adaptive Color Luminance) algorithm to extract the license plate image from a car image. The ACL algorithm that uses color and luminance information of a car image is used to extract the image of the license plate. In this paper, color, luminance and other related information of a car image are used to extract the image of the license plate from that of a car. In this reason, we call it the ACL algorithm. The ACL algorithm uses color, luminance information and other related information of a license plate. These informations are avaliable to exact the image of the license plate. The rate of extracting the image of the license plate from a car is 97%. The experimental result of the ACL algorithm for the character region is 92%. 자동차 번호판 인식 시스템에서 가장 중요한 요소는 자동차 이미지로부터 번호판 영역을 정확히 검출해 내는 것이다. 자동차 이미지에서 번호판 영역을 추출하기 위한 방법으로 색상과 밝기 정보와 자동차 번호판의 가로 : 세로 비율 등 번호판을 인식할 수 있는 정보를 혼용한 ACL 알고리즘을 제안한다 ACL 알고리즘을 사용함으로써 기존의 색상 정보나 명암 정보만을 이용할 경우 자동차 번호판 영역 추출이 잘되지 않는 문제를 해소시켜 준다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 ACL 알고리즘은 자동차 이미지에서 번호판 영역을 추출하기 위하여 색상 정보와 명암 정보, 기타 자동차 번호판을 판단할 수 있는 정보를 모두 이용한다. ACL 알고리즘을 이용하여 번호판 추출 실험을 한 결과 97%의 추출률을 보였다. ACL 알고리즘을 이용하여 추출된 번호판을 이용하여 문자 영역, 문자 인식을 실험한 결과 92%의 결과를 보였다.

        Al-Zn 합금의 직접용융산화법을 이용한 ZnO 나노와이어의 제작

        ZnO nanowires with tetrapod shape were formed on the surface of the sample by direct melt oxidation of Al-Zn alloy at $1000^{\circ}C$ in air. X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern revealed that the ZnO nanowires had wurtzite structure of hexagonal phase. Any other element except Zn and O was not detected in energy dispersive X-ray spectrum. The c- and a-axis lattice constants estimated from the XRD pattern were 0.520 and 0.325 nm, respectively. These are in well accordance with those of bulk ZnO single crystal, indicating high quality crystallinity. The green light emission at a wavelength of 510 nm was observed from the nanowires at room temperature, which was ascribed to high density of oxygen vacancies in nanowires.

        4H-SiC(0001) Epilayer 성장 및 쇼트키 다이오드의 전기적 특성

        A sublimation epitaxial method, referred to as the Closed Space Technique (CST) was adopted to produce thick SiC epitaxial layers for power device applications. We aimed to systematically investigate the dependence of SiC epilayer quality and growth rate during the sublimation growth using the CST method on various process parameters such as the growth temperature and working pressure. The etched surface of a SiC epitaxial layer grown with low growth rate $(30{\mu}m/h)$ exhibited low etch pit density (EPD) of ${\sim}2000/cm^2$ and a low micropipe density (MPD) of $2/cm^2$. The etched surface of a SiC epitaxial layer grown with high growth rate (above $100{\mu}m/h$) contained a high EPD of ${\sim}3500/cm^2$ and a high MPD of ${\sim}500/cm^2$, which indicates that high growth rate aids the formation of dislocations and micropipes in the epitaxial layer. We also investigated the Schottky barrier diode (SBD) characteristics including a carrier density and depletion layer for Ni/SiC structure and finally proposed a MESFET device fabricated by using selective epilayer process.

        A Comparative Study of the Linear-elastic and Hyperelastic Models for Degradation of PLA Prepared using Fused Filament Fabrication

        Fused filament fabrication (FFF) is a process extruding and stacking materials. PLA materials are one of the most frequently used materials for FFF method of 3D printing. Polylactic acid (PLA)-based materials are among the most widely used materials for FFF-based three-dimensional (3D) printing. PLA is an eco-friendly material made using starch extracted from corn, as opposed to plastic made using conventional petroleum resin; PLA-based materials are used in various fields, such as packaging, aerospace, and medicines. However, it is important to analyze the mechanical properties of theses materials, such as elastic strength, before using them as structural materials. In this study, the reliability of PLA-based materials is assessed through an analysis of the changes in the linear elasticity of these materials under thermal degradation by applying a hyperelastic analytical model.

        Jazz dance is an open-hearted style of dance which was broken a form of modern dance in its early stages. Dances who acquire new presentation way and popularity and express the flow of that time. The origin of Jazz dance is from African dance. Jazz dance which expresses a rapid beat and a strong motion originated f개m a rhythm of African local customs. The Jazz dance of today is in use in terms of classification. But its correct meaning is getting vague. Because as a style Jazz dance interchanges various fields of dancing to become dim a boundary. Perhaps the most distinguished point of Jazz dance is `modern` and `popular`. Jazz dance like this characterizes to seize new thing among always and almost. Thus modern Jazz dance shows us these days through the presentation of a flexible, creative and unusual dancing. The propensities of Jazz dance which are shown to modern dancing are as follows. First, it is a unique motion of African dancing propensity which is quite different from traditional motion of modern dancing. It expended a vocabulary of the motion of the later modern dancing. Secondly, it is a sarcastic, natural and daily presentation. It acquired popularity to be familiar to the audience and to make it easy to understand the later modern dancing. Thirdly, owing to the characteristic of American and Negro Jazz dance it improved and developed a dancing to pursuit American Negroism. Fourthly, owing to the historic background of Jazz dance which was designated as progress of Negro dancing it has contributed to grasp the identity of Negro through the motions of Negro dancers. Modern Jazz dance like this can be defined as dance which has popularity. Because it is shown to the audience can take part in directly and everybody can enjoy easily all of these.

        극성/무극성 6H-SiC 쇼트키 베리어 다이오드 제조 및 전기적 특성 연구

        We have fabricated schottky barrier diode (SBDs) using polar (c-plane) and non polar (a-, m-plane) n-type 6H-SiC wafers. Ni/SiC ohmic contact was accomplished on the backside of the SiC wafers by thermal evaporation and annealed for 20minutes at $950^{\circ}C$ in mixture gas ($N_2$ 90% + $H_2$ balanced). The specific contact resistance was $3.6{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}cm^2$ after annealing at $950^{\circ}C$. The XRD results of the alloyed contact layer show that formation of $NiSi_2$ layer might be responsible for the ohmic contact. The active rectifying electrode was formed by the same thermal evaporation of Ni thin film on topside of the SiC wafers and annealed for 5 minutes at $500^{\circ}C$ in mixture gas ($N_2$ 90% + $H_2$ balanced). The electrical properties of SBDs have been characterized by means of I-V and C-V curves. The forward voltage drop is about 0.95 V, 0.8 V and 0.8 V for c-, a- and m-plane SiC SBDs respectively. The ideality factor (${\eta}$) of all SBDs have been calculated from log(I)-V plot. The values of ideality factor were 1.46, 1.46 and 1.61 for c-, a- and m-plane SiC SBDs, respectively. The schottky barrier height (SBH) of all SBDs have been calculated from C-V curve. The values of SBH were 1.37 eV, 1.09 eV and 1.02 eV for c-, a- and m-plane SiC SBDs, respectively.
