Radioactive substances, especially $^{137}Cs$ discharged in the course of Nuclear Power Plant Accident or maintenance of power plants, cause contamination of the soil. For habitation of residents and reuse of industrial land, it is inevitably necessary to decontaminate the soil. This study examines a soil washing process that has actually been used for washing of radioactive-contaminated soil. The soil washing process uses a washing agent to weaken surface tension of the soil and cesium, separating cesium from the soil. In this study, in order to raise the efficiency of the process, a flocculating agent was added to the washing water to remove fine soil and cesium. The cesium concentrations before and after applying the flocculating agent to cesium solution were measured through ICP-OES. When using 0.1 g of J-AF flocculating agent in the experiment, the maximum Cs removal performance was approximately 88%; the minimum value was 67%. Species combinations between cesium and soil were predicted using Visual MINTEQ Code; the ability to reuse the washing water or not, and the removal rate of the fine soil, determined via measurement of the turbidity after applying the flocculating agent, were determined.

Low Voltage DC (LVDC) distribution system has paid attention because people are trying to improve energy efficiency and reduce loss of energy. In addition, many researches related to DC system are conducted to replace the AC-based power supply due to the increase of digital load and distributed generation. However, research on standard and protection scheme is still incomplete to achieve the stable and reliable operation of LVDC distribution system. Thus this paper studies protection algorithms in the LVDC distribution system. First, this paper analyzes proper protection algorithms in LVDC distribution system by comparing with those in AC distribution system. And then, it performs the modelling of a simple LVDC distribution system and the simulation by using EMTP(ElectroMagnetic Transients Program).

Construction documents stage is very important stage which affect a project success or failure in design-build, however, there have numerous disputes between owners and design-builder. After review of design development, an owner and a construction manager request increase material quality and change floor plans or a site plan, however, a contractor is unwilling to change design documents without offset alternatives against cost increased by that request. This research has been drawn the main obstruction factors from arisen problem and claim cases in construction documents stage in design-build projects and presents considerations of substance of RFP (Request of Proposals), application of partnering, and set up fixed date of design development. To prevent disputes between an owner and a design-builder in construction documents stage in design-build, this research presents the new partnering model integrating project and strategic partnering by a construction manager and verify the effectiveness by interviews.
초음파검사에서 갑상샘 결절의 세침흡인세포검사 결과에 따른 분석

본 연구는 직장건강검진 수검자의 갑상샘 초음파 검사에서 발견된 결절 중 1 cm 보다 큰 결절이거나 초음파상 악성을 시사하는 경우의 세침흡인세포검사 결과를 1군으로, 결절의 크기와 상관없이 초음파상악성을 시사하는 경우의 세침흡인세포검사 결과를 2군으로 나누어 세침흡인세포검사가 필요한 결절 양상에 대해 비교·분석하였다. 1군에서 15.8%가 악성이었고 2군에서는 28%에서 악성으로 나왔다. 악성을 시사하는 소견은 양성과 악성 간의 통계학적으로 유의한 차이가 있었고 결절의 크기가 1 cm 이상이지만 고위험 인자를 동반하지 않으면서 초음파검사 결과 스폰지(spongiform) 형태 소견을 보일 때에는 거의 대부분 양성이므로 세침흡인세포검사가 불필요하다고 사료되었다. 이러한 초음파 소견의 의미는 갑상샘 결절에 대한 세침흡인세포검사가 필요한지 여부를 결정하는데 중요한 근거가 된다. 현재 갑상샘 결절에 대한 세침흡인세포검사 시행은 결절의 크기가 1 cm 이상이면 스폰지 형태라도 환자의 불안감에 편승하여 행하여지는 경우가 흔하다. 그러나 양성과 악성 결절을 감별하는데 있어서 갑상샘 초음파 소견을 정확히 숙지한다면 불필요한 세침흡인세포검사를 줄일 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. This study analyzed the features of the nodules requiring a fine needle aspiration, which were found in thyroid ultrasonography of the employee health check-up examinees. Based on the fine needle aspiration results, over 1 cm nodules or those implying malignancy on the ultrasonography were categorized into the 1st group. Whereas, regardless of the size the fine needle aspiration results implying malignancy on the ultrasonography were categorized into the 2nd group. In the 1st group, 15.8% were malignant, and in the 2nd group, 28% were malignant. The findings implying malignancy were statistically significant. However, even though the nodules were larger than 1 cm, when the nodules were not accompanied by a high risk factor and showed a spongiform structure in the ultrasonographic results, most of them were benign, and a fine needle aspiration was not required. The ultrasonographic findings are important rationales in making a decision on whether or not a fine needle aspiration is required for thyroid nodules. Currently, the fine needle aspiration for thyroid nodules is commonly performed when the size of the nodule is larger than 1 cm, even though it has a spongiform structure, to relieve the patients anxiety. However, if ultrasonographic findings of thyroid are correctly understood in differentiating malignant from benign nodules, unnecessary fine needle aspiration can be avoided.
