Despite the fact that sloshing vibration and noise are important factors to be considered in fuel tank designs, such are still governed by trial and error system in automobile industries. Subsequently, this paper addresses a thorough investigation to retrieve basic data for designing the fuel tank which embodies the isolation of vibration and noise. In achieving this goal. the sloshing effect is examined from the experimental data through wavelet analysis and sloshing phenomenon is simulated through CFD. Also, a simulation program for the vibration of the coupled model of tank-fluid system at two dimensional tanks is produced. Futhermore, a vibration-fluid model is suggested for FEM analysis to accomplish acoustic analysis at the fuel tank. Here. important design parameters of the fuel tank are suggested. Also. it is found that the structure-borne noise of fuel tank could be negligible.<br/>
