In this study, we investigated elementary school teachers` and students` perceptions of the reading materials in science textbooks. Participants were 181 teachers from 23 elementary schools who were teaching science and 643 third- to sixth-grade students from 12 elementary schools. A questionnaire for teachers consisted of 18 items and a questionnaire for students consisted of 11 items about their perceptions of the reading materials in science textbooks. Nine to twelve items, according to grades, examining the actual uses of each reading material in science textbooks were also included to both questionnaires. The results indicated that teachers have positive perceptions about reading materials and frequently use them in case of needs for supplement and/or enrichment of science learning. Novice teachers were found to have less positive perceptions about reading materials than expert teachers. Over 70 percent of students responded that they read all reading materials. Fifth- and sixth-grade students were tended to have less positive perceptions about reading materials than third-grade students. Finally, students tended to have more positive perceptions about reading materials than their teachers.

The word ``opera`` in Italian means the ``work`` in English, which is of ``Opus`` in latin language. The meaning includes not only music but also any sorts of arts or creation. The full expression in the realm of music is ``Opera in Musica`` that corresponds to ``a musical work``. Opera includes the realm of the playas well. Therefore a opera in musica can be considered as a play with music. Opera itself as synthetic art consists of songs, dances, dialogues, drama, orchestra, costumes, make up & Hair Style Interpretation, etc. Operas are classified into ``Opera Seria``, ``Opera Buffa``, ``Grand Opera``, ``Verismo Opera``, ``Opera Comique`` and ``Operetta``. Each one of them has characters, time & places along with the story in it. Hair Style, Make Up & Costume Interpretation are very creational works which give vitality to characters. However artists are not free from the age backgrounds of the operas. Every Interpretation should be carefully considered based upon thorough historical research, and its reproduction should be fulfilled followed by it. The preparation research for the opera hair reproduction should contain historical hair style research including ancient time hair, medival hair, renaissance hair, baroque hair, rococo hair and modern time hair with the back-up of historical knowledge about ancient Egypt, middle-east asia, ancient greek & mediterranean civilization, roman empire, medieval culture (including the Celts & the Huns), Byzantine, renaissance, baroque, rococo, modern & present times. Books on historical costumes, painting books of museums, Historical books on hairdressing, opera books & internet are excellent helps for this research. Those who are engaged in Hairdressing need to study opera, because it involves hairdressing field with its long history.
