I paid attention to the fact that surrealism emerging in early 20th century has been resurfacing in the 21st century. It may be because of the increasing interest on the space showing the surrealistic features as people in these days prefer the experimental and dramatic space beyond repetitive daily life. I tried to identify the expressive characteristics in the interior space adopting the depaysement technique among a variety of expression techniques of surrealism. To this end, this paper selected 10 interior design projects by Fabio Novembre and Marcel Wanders since 2000s. As the methodology, chapter 2 examined the theories to identify the expression targets and approaches of depaysement around the art paintings. Next, the standard for case analysis in this paper was established by investigating the existing theses related to interior and space design with depaysement as the key word. The expressive characteristics of depaysement identified from the existing researches were classified into morphological, figurative, material and space program. Those programs were developed as the classification system in this paper. Chapter 3 described the design background and features of Fabio Novembre and Marcel Wanders. On the basis of the features and analysis framework identified in chapter 2 and 3, chapter 4 analyzed the features of depaysement observed in the works by both designers. The conclusion was presented in chapter 5. For the expressive characteristics of depaysement observed in the space by both designers, Novembre created optical illusion using distortion or overlap on the morphological aspect. Wanders showed mainly the feature of changing the scale. In accordance with the analysis on expression principles, the features including spatial continuity, ambiguity of border, visual amusement and uncertainty were differentiated in all spaces.

교과 통합 영어 글쓰기 과업이 초등 영어 학습자의 쓰기 학습에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 교과 통합 영어 글쓰기 과업을 초등학교 5학년 학습자들에게 적용해보고 각각의 과업에 대한 학습자의 반응과 학습 과정 및 결과물을 양적, 질적으로 분석하고 이를 통하여 교과 통합 영어 글쓰기 과업의 긍정적인 효과를 밝히고 실제적 적용 방안을 제시하고자했다. 본 연구 대상은 수도권 소재의 Y초등학교 5학년 1개 반 27명으로 구성하여 총 4개의 과업을 수행하도록 계획하였다. 수업설계는 과업 중심 교수·학습 모형을 바탕으로 수업 절차를 적용하였고 학습자의 글쓰기 능력은 과업 완성도, 내용 적절성, 글의 구성, 언어 정확성 네 가지 측면에서 평가하였다. 연구결과 쓰기 학습에 대한 선호도가 높지 않았던 학습자들이 교과 통합 영어 글쓰기 과업에는 긍정적인 태도를 보였다. 또한 과업 수행 후 영어글쓰기 능력을 측정한 결과 쓰기 능력의 네 가지 측면 모두에서 통계적으로 유의미한 향상 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 학습자의 교과 배경 지식을 바탕으로 한 영어 쓰기 중심 과업활동은 초등 5학년 학생의 쓰기 능력은 물론 영어쓰기 대해서 긍정정적인 태도를 형성하는데 기여한 것으로 드러났다. 실제적이고 의미 기반의 영어의사소통 활동에 학습자들이 노출되기 위해서 교과통합 과제활동 개발을 위한 지속적인 현장 연구가 필요할 것이다. 또한 정규 영어 수업과 연계할 수 있기 위해 활동 및 교재 개발도 이루어져야 할 것이다. The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of the subject integrated English writing tasks on the writing skills of elementary school English-language learners. Data sources for both qualitative and quantitative analysis were collected from student`s performance on the task as well as teacher`s field notes, student`s reflection journals on the lessons, interviews, writing test results, surveys and others. Experiments were conducted with a 5th grade class at a public elementary school. The findings of the data analysis showed that students could develop their writing skills because the subject integrated English writing tasks provided context and background knowledge of the subject. Due to the fact that student`s prior knowledge was activated this approach was effective for improving their language acquisition and utilization ability. The subject integrated English writing tasks also provided linguistic support through active interaction and meaning negotiation from the tasks. The subject integrated English writing tasks provided dynamic and various kinds of activities, so it contributed to increasing students interest in learning writing. Also, this approach provided structured writing tasks, so it decreased the learner`s stress about English writing. It was a proper learning style to English-language learners who prefer autonomous writing tasks. Lastly, instructional implications for the classroom and suggestions for further study were also discussed.

타우린 첨가 식이가 흰쥐에서 혈중 지질과 간 지질 농도에 미치는 영향

This study investigated the effect of dietary taurine supplementation on the plasma and liver lipid concentrations in lats fed a cholesterol free diet Twenty male-Sprague-Dawley rats(body weight $200{\pm}10g$) were divided into two groups, the control and taurine group(2% taurine supplemented in their diet). All the rats were fed on the experimental diet and deionized water for 6 weeks libitum. There were no significant differences body weight gain, food intake and the food efficiency ratio between the control and experimental groups. The rats fed the taurine diet had a significantly lower triglyceride and AI(athrogenic index) than those fed the control diet The liver total cholesterol (p<0.05) and triglyceride levels(p<0.01) were significantly lower in the rats fed the taurine diet than in those fed the control diet. These results suggest a possible role of taurine as a hypolipidemic agent in male rats fed a cholesterol free diet.

Cellulose 첨가 식이가 고콜레스테롤 식이를 섭취한 암컷 쥐의 혈중 지질 농도에 미치는 영향

Numerous studies have been done on the effect of fiber on cholesterol metabolism. Most of studies reported a hypocholesterolemic action of fiber in rats fed a high cholesterol diet. However, a few studies reported that addition of cellulose to the diet increased the serum level of cholesterol in rats. Therefore, more studies are needed to figure out the effects of cellulose on cholesterol metabolism. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of dietary cellulose supplementation on plasma lipid concentrations in rats fed a high cholesterol diet. Twenty female rats (body weight 190 ± 2.9 g) were randomly divided into two groups. The rats in the control group were fed on 5% cellulose diet (control) and those in the experimental group were fed with 10% cellulose diet. All rats were fed with the experimental diets and deionized water ad libitum for 5 weeks. The plasma lipid concentrations were measured using commercial kits with enzymatic methods. There were no significant differences in the body weight gain, food intake and food efficiency ratio between the control and experimental groups. The rats fed cellulose supplemented diet had significantly higher plasma total cholesterol concentration than those fed control diet. The plasma concentrations of triglyceride were slightly reduced in the rats fed cellulose supplemented diet compared to those fed control diet. But plasma triglyceride concentrations were not significantly different between two groups. More detailed research is necessary to explain why the effectiveness of cellulose in reducing the plasma cholesterol concentration in high cholesterol fed rats has been different.
