An unstable second metatarsophalangeal joint may produce pain in the forefoot. Plication of stretched lateral ligament and capsule and transfer of the extensor digitorum brevis under the transverse intermetatarsal ligament performed as the primary procedure to stabilize this painful joint. But the pain was not subsided and the proximal phalanx was resubluxated. So, we osteotomized the second metatarsal to restore a normal alignment of the second toe. Then the symptom was subsided. We report a case of painful instability of the metatarsophalangeal joint of the second toe.

In this research, we evaluated the electrical properties of polycrystalline-gallium-oxIde (Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>) thin films grown by mist-CVD. A 500~800 nm-thick Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> film was used as a channel in a fabricated bottom-gate MOSFET device. The phase stability of the β-phase Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> layer was enhanced by an annealing treatment. A Ti/Al metal stack served as source and drain electrodes. Maximum drain current (I<sub>D</sub>) exceeded 1 mA at a drain voltage (V<sub>D</sub>) of 20 V. Electron mobility of the β-Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> channel was determined from maximum transconductance (g<sub>m</sub>), as approximately, 1.39 ㎠/Vs. Reasonable device characteristics were demonstrated, from measurement of drain current-gate voltage, for mist-CVD-grown Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> thin films.
무지 외반증 치료로 사용된 제1 중족골 근위 반월형 절골술 후 발생한 제1 중족골 족배측 각형성 정도

Purpose: We try to retrospectively evaluated the amount of dorsal angulation angle of the first metatarsal commonly occurring as the complication of proximal dome osteotomy for hallux valgus. Materials and Methods: Between January 2004 and March 2004, 34 patients who underwent proximal dome osteotomy for moderate to severe hallux valgus. Two of 34 patients were male, and thirty-two were female. The average age was 57.6 years. We measured and compared hallux valgus angle, 1st-2nd intermetatarsal angle, dorsal angulation angle of 1st metatarsal on preoperative, postoperative, postoperative 3 weeks', postoperative 3 months' X-ray. Results: Osteotomy sites were completely united on plane X-ray in all cases. The hallux valgus angle averaged $41.2^{\circ}$ ($30{\sim}60^{\circ}$) at preoperative, $4.3^{\circ}$ ($-10{\sim}20^{\circ}$) at postoperative, $5.5^{\circ}$ ($-1{\sim}20^{\circ}$) at 3 weeks after operation, $7.8^{\circ}$ ($-2{\sim}20^{\circ}$) at 3 months after operation. The 1st-2nd intermetatarsal angle averaged $17.1^{\circ}$ ($12{\sim}24^{\circ}$) at preoperative, $6.3^{\circ}$ ($0{\sim}13^{\circ}$) at postoperative, $7.2^{\circ}$ ($0{\sim}15^{\circ}$) at 3 weeks after operation, $8.7^{\circ}$ ($0{\sim}18^{\circ}$) at 3 months after operation. The dorsal angulation angle averaged $0.4^{\circ}$ ($0{\sim}3^{\circ}$) at postoperative, $1.6^{\circ}$ ($0{\sim}7^{\circ}$) at 3 weeks after operation, $2.1^{\circ}$ ($0{\sim}8^{\circ}$) at 3 months after operation. There were no statistically correlation between increase of dorsal angulation angle of the distal segment of the first metatarsal and increase of hallux valgus angle or 1st-2nd intermetatarsal angle. Conclusion: Our results shows that the dorsal angulation of distal fragment occurring after the proximal dome osteotomy in the treatment of hallux valgus may be minimized with meticulous surgery and patient's education.

Representative systematic accident analysis methods proposed so far include AcciMap, STAMP, and FRAM. This study used these three techniques to analyze a fire accident case that occurred during routine manufacturing work in a domestic chemical plant and compared the results. The methods used different approaches to identify the cause of the accident, but they all highlighted similar causal factors. In addition to technical issues, the three accident analysis methods identified factors related to safety education, risk assessment, and the operation of the process safety management system, as well as management philosophy and company culture as problems. The AcciMap and STAMP models play complementary roles because they use hierarchical structures, while FRAM is more effective in analyses centered on human and organizational functions than in technical analyses.

Degree-day method is very simple but essential index to estimate heating and cooling energy demand in buildings. It has been neglected, however, for the simplicity so it is difficult to find in any DB on the data. Even meteorological department of S. Korea doesn’t report the data officially. In this study, current methods that are being used in many countries are investigated and used to calculate degree-days of 35 S. Korean cities with 30 years (1981~2010) historical data. The calculation result indicates that the error between 4 major methods are dependent on how daily or hourly temperature are treated and balance point temperature. The errors of the methods are no larger than 6% relative to hourly degree-day method.

GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) engine is a potential next generation engine for passenger car, which reduce exhaust emission and fuel consumption. Currently, the advanced company in another country have been developing and applying this system. And also some korea company have been researching GDI high-pressure fuel pump of main component in the GDI system. To develop high performance pump of the high-pressure fuel, technique is required to apply high-strength materials, welding technology, precision control technology and reliability of each part. In addition, in order to verify the performance of the high-pressure fuel pump, evaluation mode of GDI fuel pump is required. Thus, in this study, characteristics of temperature, vibration and control technology for the GDI fuel pump were analyzed. And this study is expected to be a help to the study on evaluation mode of GDI fuel pump.
스마트 금융을 위한 비즈니스 로직과 분리된 보안프레임워크

본 연구에서는 스마트금융 서비스를 위한 서버 측 보안 프레임워크를 제안한다. 국내 금융기관의 전자금융서비스를 제공하는 서버 측 프레임워크 구조를 살펴보면 대부분 서비스제공위주의 구조를 가지고 있다. 따라서, 보안관련 요구사항들은 비즈니스 로직들에 같이 포함되어 있는 경우가 대부분이기 때문에 보안 사고에 효과적으로 대응하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 전자금융서비스시 보안영역을 비즈니스영역과 분리하여 업무에 대한 의존도(Dependency) 없이 보안 정책을 실시간으로 적용할 수 있는 프레임워크를 제안한다. 이를 통하여 보안관련 위협에 대한 신속하고 효과적인 대응기반을 제시한다. 또한 현재 서비스하고 있는 시스템구조에서도 시스템의 큰 변경없이 제안 프레임워크를 적용할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. This study introduces server-side security-oriented framework for smart financial service. Most of domestic financial institutions providing e-banking services have employed server-side framework which implement service-oriented architecture. Because such architecture accommodates business and security requirements at the same time, institutions are struggling to cope with the security incidents efficiently. The thesis suggests that separating security areas from business areas in the frameworks makes users to be able to apply security policies in real time without considering how these policies may affect business transactions. Security-oriented frameworks support rapid and effective countermeasures against security threats. Furthermore, plans to avoid significant changes on existing system when institutions implement these frameworks are discussed in the report.
