This study was investigated for efficiency of sampling to active and passive sampling of formaldehyde and volatile organic compounds. Passive sampling method was more simple than active sampling method. The difference of passive and active sampling was not significant for form aldehyde. But the passive sampling method of VOCs in indoor air was difficult that passive sampling rate was very low. Thermal desorption method for VOCs was more efficiency than passive sampling. Because thermal desorption method had low limit of detection(LOD) for VOCs, sampling time did not need long time.<BR> Formaldehyde concentrations in some shopping mall were over 0.1 ppm (standard concentration in indoor air). It need more to investigate formaldehyde concentration in shopping mall in the future.

Since the 1990 according to improvement of economical life environment, brought much changes in each kind lifestyle and dwelling environment. Advanced nation is gone by continuance pat to center as effect of human body about each kind pollution that regulation about room air quality happens indoors is examined closely scientifically gradually. This research Seoul area"s underground arcade into compensation do because CO, CO₂, SO₂, NO₂, HCHO, PM10, heavy metals etc. analyzing sounding the pollution state confirm. In the case of the result PM10, though result that exceed norm in Nam-dae-mun underground arcade came, there are much this area"s flow populations and is looked that problem is in ventilation by deterioration of ventilation equipment. Because imperfect spread of a fire of restaurants becomes cause in place that air circulation is not free though exceeded norm in Kangnam underground arcade in CO, CO₂, HCHO"s case, is looked that it exceeds norm. In the case of other heavy metals, showed density fewer than norm even if is detected. It was level that most measurement item is below in encouragement norm with upside and measurement places that exceed norm are looked that each place?industrial classification feature becomes cause.
다중이용시설에서의 PM10, PM2.5 및 부유세균의 측정

Recently, it are increasing the use of facilities of multiplex facility. Therefore, we investigated this experiment to know current situation of indoor air quality. We measured PM10 and PM2.5 and floating bacterial because it became an issue of indoor air quality. We measured in subway platform and passenger car, underground arcade, theater, coffee shop etc.. Results of measurements PM10, PM2.5 all demonstrated the highest numerical value at underground coffee shop, and ground coffee shop and underground arcade that exceeded preservation standard limit. And it went over 3 places of whole 15 places for PM10 standard. Also, it was discovered pass over floating bacterial results of measurements preservation test. And it showed that went over was 8 places of the whole 13 places for standard of 800 CFU/㎥. We recognized the situation of indoor air in multiplex use facilities through this experiments, and we should effort to improve indoor air quality of these facility.
새집증후군 및 알레르기 환자 가정의 실내 공기 중 폼알데하이드 농도 조사

The significance of formaldehyde as an indoor air pollutant is well established. Formaldehyde is highly irritating to the eyes and upper respiratory tract at low level. Recently, attention has been paid to formaldehyde as an allergen that enhances allergic sensitization. The number of patients of allergy and asthma are gradually increasing in Korea. In this study we investigated the effect of formaldehyde affecting to the patients of new syndrome, allergy and asthma in their residnece houses.<BR> Method detection limits for the procedure was 0.4㎍/L. Precision for the colocated sample showed 4.1% and accuracy spiked recovery was 101.6%.<BR> Concentrations of indoor air formaldehyde in patients" homes of allergy and new house syndrome were high compared to non-patients" houses (p < 0.05). But no significant differences could be shown for the concentration of formaldehyde in indoor air between the homes of asthma patients and healthy families.
