        바퀴에 대한 Coriander Oil (Coriandum sativum) 성분의 훈증효과

        바퀴벌레(Blattella germanica)에 대한 coriander oil (Coriandum sativum) 등 5종의 식물정유의 훈증독성을 조사하였다. 그들 중 spearmint oil이 20과 $10\;{\mu}{\ell}/954\;ml$ (air)의 약량처리에서 모두 $100\%$의 높은 살충활성을 나타내었다. Coriander를 GC와 GC/MS로 분석한 결과, ${\alpha}$-pinene ($6.1\%$), camphene ($1.1\%$), ${\beta}$-pinene ($0.5\%$), ${\beta}$-myrcene ($0.8\%$), limonene ($2.5\%$), ${\gamma}$-terpinene ($4.5\%$), ${\rho}$-cymene ($1.8\%$), ${\alpha}$-terpinolene ($0.5\%$), camphor ($4.9\%$), linalool ($70.5\%$), ${\alpha}$-tepineol ($0.7\%$), geranyl acetate ($2.8\%$), geraniol ($1.4\%$)이 주요 구성성분으로 나타났으며, 그 중 ${\gamma}$-terpinene과 geranyl acetate가 $10\;{\mu}{\ell}/954\;ml$ (air) 약량에서 $100\%$의 높은 훈증독성을 나타내었다. Essential oil of five plants were screened for fumigation toxicity against Blattella germanica male adults. Among them, coriander oil showed $100\%$ fumigation toxicity against B. germanica male adults at 20 and $10{\mu}{\ell}/{\ell}$ (air) dose, respectively. Through the constituent analysis using GC and GC/MS, we confirmed that main constituents of coriander oil were ${\alpha}$-pinene ($6.1\%$), camphene ($1.1\%$), ${\beta}$-pinene ($0.5\%$), ${\beta}$-myrcene ($0.8\%$), limonene ($2.5\%$), ${\gamma}$-terpinene ($4.5\%$), ${\rho}$-cymene ($1.8\%$), ${\alpha}$-terpinolene ($0.5\%$), camphor ($4.9\%$), linalool ($70.5\%$), ${\alpha}$-tepineol ($0.7\%$), geranyl acetate ($2.8\%$) and geraniol ($1.4\%$). Among them, ${\gamma}$-terpinene and geranyl acetate showed $100\%$ fumigation toxicity at $10{\mu}{\ell}/{\ell}$ (air) dose, respectively. It can be concluded that coriander oil is potential control agents against B. germanica.

        압출성형 횟수가 떡국떡의 품질 특성에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: The study was conducted to analyze the change in quality characteristics of Ddukguk Garaedduk and Ddukgukdduk by the frequency of extruding rice dough. Methods: Ddukguk Garaedduk samples were made by extruding and shaping rice flour dough 2, 3, and 4 times; while Ddukgukdduk samples were made by drying the Ddukguk Garaedduk at room temperature for 48 hours and slicing them in slices of 0.3 cm thickness. Results: Significant differences were not found in water content by the extrusion frequency for Ddukguk Garaedduk and Ddukgukdduk. The adhesiveness and springiness of Ddukguk Garaedduk with a 4 times extrusion were significantly higher than those of Ddukguk Garaedduk with a 2 times extrusion. Ddukgukdduk with a 4 times extrusion generated finer cells and a more even distribution of cells than the other samples, as observed by scanning electron microscopy. Upon boiling, significantly more water was absorbed in Ddukgukdduk of a 2 times extrusion than in that of a 4 times extrusion. Hardness and adhesiveness scores of the cooked Ddukgukdduk were the highest, and springiness was the lowest in the sample with the 4 times extrusion. Conclusion: The extrusion of rice dough makes the structure of Ddukguk Garaedduk finer and more even, which results in the increased adhesiveness of Ddukguk Garaedduk. When cooking Ddukguk, Ddukgukdduk that has been extruded more absorbs less water and dissolves less solids, which maintains the chewiness and structure of cooked Ddukgukdduk.

        수강과목 배치 계획 문제(Class Assignment Plan problem)는 한정된 자원내에서 각 과목이 가지는 요구사항과 배치 규칙들을 고려하여 해결하여야 한다. 이는 해결이 복잡한 NP-complete한 문제이므로 machine에 기반을 두고 행해질 수 있는 효과적인 알고리즘이 개발되지 못하고 수많은 시간의 소비를 요구하며 사람의 해결에만 의존해 왔다. 이에 본 논문에서는 시뮬레이티드 아닐링(Simulated Annealing)과 홉필드(Hopfield)신경회로망의 특성들을 결합하여 최근 NP-complete한 조합 최적화(Combinatorial Optimization)문제의 해결에 많이 시용되어져 온 평균장 아닐링(Mean Field Annealing)기법을 이용한 알고리즘을 제안하고, 실제 데이타를 적용한 곁과를 통해, 제안된 알고리즘이 수강과목 배치 문제에 있어 유망한 방법임을 보인다.

        전주지역 복지관 노인대상 영양교육 및 맞춤형 점심 급식 프로그램 효과

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a nutrition education and personalized lunch service program in a senior welfare center. A total of 30 elderly (14 males, 16 females) aged 62~89 years participated in this study. Nutrition education lessons (2 hour/lesson/week) were provided for 4 weeks. Also, ten weeks from week 3rd to week 12th, personalized lunch providing 1/3 personal needed energy was served 5 times for a week. After the nutrition intervention program, we compared anthropometric characteristics, blood biochemical characteristics, nutrition knowledge, dietary attitude and dietary intake using 24 hr recall with those before the intervention. The body weight (p < 0.001) and body mass index (BMI) (p < 0.001) were decreased. There were significant increases in score of nutrition knowledge (p < 0.01) and consumption of milk & milk products for snacks. There was a positive effect on fasting blood sugar (FBS) showing significant decreases in portion of impaired fasting glucose and diabetes mellitus (p < 0.05). Also, serum triglyceride (TG) was significantly decreased (p < 0.05). In evaluation of nutrient intake by Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans (KDRIs), riboflavin (p < 0.01), vitamin C (p < 0.001), calcium (p < 0.05) were positively improved. The index of nutritional quality (INQ) and intakes of vitamin C (p < 0.001), riboflavin (p < 0.05), Ca (p < 0.01) and Fe (p < 0.05) were increased. In conclusion, this nutrition education and lunch service program providing 1/3 personal needed energy can be used to develop and implement a tailored nutritional intervention programs in the setting of a community senior welfare center to improve health and nutritional status of Korean elderly.         점박이응애에 대한 Caraway Oil의 기피활성

        점박이응애(Tetranychus urticae)에 대한 3종 식물정유(caraway oil, hyssop oil, lime oil)의 기피활성을 조사하였다. 이들 중 caraway oil이 1,000 ppm의 농도에서 $92.2\%$의 기피효과를 나타내었으며, GC와 GC-MS로 분석한 결과 carvone과 limonene이 주요한 성분이었다. 따라서 caraway oil의 주요한 화합물에 대한 기피활성을 검정결과 limonene의 1,000과 100 ppm에서 각각 $87.8\%$와 $83.1\%$의 기피효과를 나타내었다. Essential oils of three plants (caraway oil, hyssop oil and lime oil) were screened for repellency against Tetranychus urticae female adults in the lab condition. Among them, caraway oil (Carum carvi) showed $92.2\%$ repellency against female adults at 1,000 ppm concentration. Through the constituent analysis using GC and GC/MS, we confirmed that the two main constituents were carvone $(73.3\%)$ and limonene (26.7). Limonene showed 87.8 and $83.1\%$ repellency against adult females at 1,000 and 100 ppm concentrations, respectively.

      • 2000년 이후 주요 학술지에 발표된 떡 연구 고찰

        The purposes of the study were to review research on dduk (Korean traditional rice cake) published in two academic journals (Journal of the Korean Society of Food and Cookery Science and Journal of the Korean Society of Food Culture) for year 2000-2012 and to provide research suggestions for future research. A total of 171 articles were reviewed and analyzed by research purpose, research method, type of dduk, and ingredients. All of the research was conducted on dduks which were prepared by steaming or punching. In the same context, sulgidduk and jeungpyeon were the most frequently studied. The research purposes were quality characteristics evaluation and standardized recipe development, functionality of ingredients, customer’s perception on dduk, microbiological assessment, packaging and storage, and review of old literature. Most research used regular rice as a main ingredient and various secondary ingredients were used. Based on the result, several suggestions were provided for future research. The result will guide researchers to plan research projects on dduk and an infrastructure is needed that bridges between the needs of the researchers and practitioners in the dduk industry.

        Hexamethylenediamine에 衣한 Acrylic 纖維의 改質에 關한 硏究

        To study possible modification of acrylic fiber, Cashmilon SF was treated with hexamethylenediaminec HMDA) in toluene at elevated temperature. Physico-chemical properties of treated fiber were tested by dyeing with benzyl scarlet BS and by measuring tensile strength of the fiber. Following results were obtained from this experiment. 1) HMDA and fiber were condensed at above 120℃. 2) Treated samples could be dyed with acidic dyes. 3) Treatment with HMDA decreased tensile strength of the fiber. This study therefore suggests that HMDA can be used to modify the properties of the fiber.
