        한국어 문법 평가 연구 -숙달도 평가와 성취도 평가를 중심으로

        The aim of this research is to examine whether current assessment of Korean grammar corresponds with the objectives and contents of grammar education, and to suggest directions which should be headed for assessing grammar. For this, it firstly figures out the present status of assessment of Korean grammar focusing on proficiency test and achievement test, and then analyzes the contents, contexts, and the patterns of items for the items of the grammar tests of TOPIK and two institutes of Korean education. The results of analysis reflects that grammar occupies a great deal of weight for almost current assessment of Korean. However, both proficiency test and achievement test need to diversify the items of assessing grammar and to give more weight on the grammar items on the discourse level. For the pattern of items, it shows that achievement test uses much more various patterns than proficiency test.

        국제결혼 이주 여성을 위한 한국어 교재 개발 방안 연구

        The purpose of this study is to investigate ideal ways of developing Korean langage teaching materials for women immigrants by marriage. In order to elicit significant value to be considered for the development of teaching materials for women immigrants as a specific learners` group, it examined their social roles and multiculturalism, and discussed about particularities of women immigrants` needs as a learner and of teachers as well as specific circumstances of teaching and learning, applying the results of the needs analyses of previous studies. Further, it analyzed developed teaching materials for women immigrants, given topics, situations and functions for communication, and then diagnosed problematic points. Drawing on these researches, the study proposed directions for prospective Korean langage teaching materials about objectives, contents and activities for learning, and external composition to be considered as materials are designed.         예비 한국어 교사의 테크놀로지 내용교수지식 향상을 위한 팀 프로젝트 중심 교육의 효과 연구

        As technology advances, L2 professionals begin to pay much attention to the probability of incorporating new technology into the practice of L2 education. The purpose of this study was twofold: 1) to introduce a Korean teaching program that could facilitate pre-service Korean teachers to improve their technology integration instruction, and 2) to verify the effectiveness of the program for a semester. This program would guide the participants (n = 45) to perform a team project, for which they needed to prepare teaching materials by using proper technologies according to purposes and contents of a curriculum. To examine the effectiveness of the program among the participants, this study conducted a survey in accordance with the technological pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK) model. The results demonstrated that the program significantly facilitated the participants to improve their TPACK in every sub-category. Furthermore, it was found that at the end of the semester, the participants’ confidence in technology integration instruction increased. Based on the findings, this study proposed a direction to Korean teacher education to improve their technology integration instruction of Korean language.

        몽골 대학의 한국어 학습자와 교사의 요구 분석

        This study firstly surveys the satisfaction on existing teaching materials for learners and teachers of Korean language at universities in Mongolia, and then it investigates the result of needs analysis on newly established teaching materials for beginners of Mongolian learners. Based on the needs analysis of two different groups, the direction to develop the teaching materials for the beginners which reflect Mongolians local features is like below; First of all, it should consider the features of curriculum of universities in Mongolia. To broadly use these teaching materials for beginners as cultural subjects and basic subjects for the major, it should take it consideration of time allocation as well as subjects characteristics. Main teaching materials should be studied on a weekly basis by following to the weekly learning time, and speaking, listening, reading and writing in a unit should be structured in an independent way to secure its original functions and integrate all the functions in a systematic way as well. It also requires developing workbooks along with main teaching materials to utilize them flexibly in various courses of study. Secondly, when designing the contents of teaching materials, there are several points to be considered; Many Korean language learners at universities in Mongolia put more emphasis on the motivations for academic and employment, and they present high demand especially for speaking and listening among four language skills. Furthermore, it should be noted that it does not fully reflect local circumstances of Mongolia to limit exclusively the topics and situations to Korean conditions for the materials. Situations for teaching materials in Mongolia should be designed considering the higher need about the situations using Korean within Mongolia area. FOI the learning of language elements such as vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation, it should reflect sufficient explanation and practice rather than to focus on the quantity. Thirdly, Korean language learners at universities in Mongolia show the much interest in Korean-Mongolian translation and interpretation. Thus, it needs to reflect high demand of practice for Korean-Mongolian translation and interpretation in teaching materials for beginners. What is more, Korean language learners show the high need and expectation for the external compositions such as workbooks, cassette tapes, audio CD beyond main teaching materials, and it is presented that they need to translate matters related to the understanding of meaning and the knowledge of language and culture. To develop the Korean teaching materials for Mongolian learners. all those requirements should be considered.

        논문 : 문법 교육에 대한 한국어 교사의 인식 연구

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the cognitions that Korean language teachers have about teaching grammar, and to use the results to propose the future direction of Korean grammar education research. The study was conducted through a survey. First, quantitative analysis was conducted by surveying teachers on the proportion of curricula taken up by grammar, the difficulty of teaching grammar, and the necessary tools for effective grammar lessons. For more in-depth analysis, open questions were presented concerning specific difficulties faced during grammar instruction, difficulties felt in the classroom, personal problem resolution methods, and suggestions for researchers of Korean grammar education. The results provided understanding of the current state of Korean grammar instruction and implications for the future. There is a large amount of research already completed on Korean grammar education, but more research that is actively applicable to teaching grammar must be conducted. Effective results must be created through research on grammar system, syllabus, and the standardization of grammar terminology. Above all, the creation practical and pedagogical materials must be promoted in order to provide solutions to needs in actual educational environments.

        컴퓨터 글쓰기 교육에 대한 한국어 학습자의 요구 분석

        This study aims to analyze the needs of Korean language learners for writing instruction using computers, and based on the result of analysis, suggest directions for Korean language education. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 161 Korean language learners from foreign countries who had reached the advanced level or higher in language training institutes in Korea. The survey asked the learners to self-assess their skill in writing and computer use, and also asked about tools for writing their native languages and the Korean language, their cognition of the usefulness and problems with writing using computers, their cognition of the need for a class on writing using computers, and their demand for the contents of a writing class using computer. An analysis of the survey results led to the following conclusions: First, foreign learners of the Korean language had a positive attitude regarding Korean writing instruction using computers. But since the awareness of the need for such a class could vary according to the disposition of the learner, it is desirable to make Korean writing instruction using computers an elective course. Second, if the plan for a class of writing instruction using computers could reflect the strengths of handwriting and the characteristics of computers, it would be possible to have more effective teaching and learning while satisfying the needs of learners. Third, if the course included word processing functions such as Korean keyboarding, editing and proofreading of writing, the learners would have less stress regarding errors in Korean language. Fourth, it is necessary to give positive consideration to teaching and learning via online mutual feedback, and more practical education is needed for internet-based writing, focusing on e-mail writing.

        한국어 교재 및 교육 자료 연구 동향 분석

        The purpose of this paper is to analyze the research trends on Korean language textbooks and teaching materials and to present the direction as to the future research. Specifically, the research papers appeared in the domestic journals and doctoral theses were analyzed. For the textbooks and reaching materials, the five categories that are development of textbook, analysis and evaluation of textbook, practical use of teaching materials, current status and development history of Korean textbooks and distance learning materials were respectively analyzed. In addition, research papers as to the target level of the textbook, learner`s motiva1ion and purpose, learner`s language, cultural contents and linguistic factors of vocabularies, grammar, pronunciation, etc. as described in the textbooks, language skills and constitution of units were also analyzed. On the basis of the results of the analysis, the research trends on the Korean language textbooks were discussed per each detailed subject and the direction on the future research as to Korean language textbooks was proposed.
