간호학생의 장애인에 대한 태도와 인식 및 관심에 관한 연구

본 연구는 간호학생의 장애인에 대한 태도와 인식 및 관심을 파악하여 간호학생의 장애인에 대한 태도와 인식을 변화시킬 방안을 모색하고, 장애관련 교육 정착을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 시도하였다. 자료 수집은 서울시 1개 대학의 간호학생 435명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 17.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 간호학생들의 장애인에 대한 인식은 긍정적이었으나, 태도는 중간정도였다. 둘째, 일반적 특성에 따른 장애인에 대한 태도는 연령, 학년, 종교에 따라 하위영역별로 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 장애관련 특성 중 가족이나 친척 중 장애인 유무, 장애인과 생활경험 유무, 장애인 행사 참여 경험 유무에 따라 하위영역별로 차이가 있었다. 넷째, 장애인에 대한 인식은 남학생, 장애인의 활동 및 관련 행사에 참여한 경우 더 긍정적이었다. 다섯째, 장애인에 대한 관심은 높은 연령, 종교, 장애인에 대한 수업을 이수한 학년이 더 긍정적이었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 간호교육기관에서 장애인에 대한 긍정적인 태도 증진을 위한 교육과정 개선이 요구되며, 장애인과의 직접접촉이나 장애인 체험 프로그램을 제공하는 적극적인 노력이 필요할 것으로 생각된다. The purpose of this study was to define attitude, awareness and concern of nursing students toward disabled and provide the basic materials of educational strategies to aid them to have right awareness and attitude of the disabled. The subjects of this study were 435 nursing students in Seoul city. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1. Attitude of the subjects toward disabled medium score, but awareness slightly positive score. 2. Among variables, age, year and religions of the subjects showed the significant differences in the results. 3. According to the subjects’disability related characteristics, those who neither have a disabled in their family, have experienced living with a disabled, and have attended an event with the disabled showed more positive attitudes. 4. In terms of awareness, boys were more positive than girls. And also those who ever lived with a disabled person and ever attended a class about the disabled or participate in the event with disabled showed more positive results. 5. Concern towards disabled increased with the age of the subjects. And more positive results were shown in the group who either have religions or have experienced living with a disabled. Through the results were found in this study, it is needed that the modification of educational curriculums in nursing school for promoting more positive attitudes toward disabled and also to provide students with more experiences together with the disabled.
