        염산으로 인한 중대한 부식성 손상 1례

        Acid ingestion can cause not only caustic injury on esophagus and stomach but also fatal outcome through systemic complications. We report the case of a patient who died early after severe caustic injury with strong acid. A 38-year-old man who ingested about 400ml of hydrochloric acid of unknown concentration was transferred to our hospital from a private clinic, in which he was managed with gastric irrigation through a nasogastric tube. He was complaining dyspnea and abdominal pain. Physical examination demonstrated tenderness and rebound tenderness on epigastric region. Severe metabolic acidosis and leukocytosis were noted. Radiological findings suggested perforation of gastrointestinal tract, although the physical signs were not typical. Endoscopy revealed caustic injuries of grade I on esophagus and of grade Ⅲ on stomach, which indicate more severe injury on the stomach than on the esophagus. Exploratory surgery was recommended but unfortunately not permitted by his family. Despite intensive measures, his vital signs deteriorated rapidly and he died 50 hours after the ingestion.

To prevent this situation from happening in advance, a Bluetooth module is installed in the aduino circuit to transmit the measured alcohol level to the smartphone and measure the blood alcohol level.

        새로운 Tetrayneol계 화합물의 합성과 항균활성

        본 연구는 polyyne계 항생물질의 분자 구조와 활성관계를 체계적으로 살펴본 최초의 보고로서 친수성기와 tetrayne 부분을 갖고 있는 화합물이 강한 항균활성을 가질 것이라는 결과를 얻었다. 이와 같은 선행 연구결과를 바탕으로 보다 개선된 활성을 갖는 화합물을 합성하기 위하여 tetrayneol 부분 구조를 가지는 novel한 polyhydroxy 화합물인 당류 유도체를 합성하고 항균성과 구조와의 관계를 검토하였다. This is the first systematically research which investigates structure-activity relationships(SAR) of antibiotics of polyyne. In this paper, it is reported that tetrayne compounds composed of hydrophilic unit and tetrayne unit has possibility of strong antimicrobial activity. Based on the above results, the possibility of development as an antibiotic medicine was examined to synthesise the more improved antibiotic compounds with synthesized polyhydroxy novel sugar analog possessing the part of tetrayneol moiety.

        다양한 신경학적 이상을 나타낸 glufosinate ammonium(바스타$^{(R)}$) 급성 경구 중독 1례

        BASTA is an herbicide which contains glufosinate ammonium as a main component with an anionic surfactant, polyoxyethylene alkylether sulfate, and nonselectively inhibits glutamine synthetase. It became a wildly used herbicide in Korea and its intoxication is now increasing. A 42-year old woman ingested about 300ml of BASTA in a suicide attempt. She showed unconsciousness and respiratory distress in the beginning, and later developed multiple generalized convulsions, low blood pressure, fever and diabetes insipidus. Although she became alert 12 days after the ingestion, she showed retrograde amnesia for a period of about recent 10 years. A neuropsychological test on day 22 revealed frontal lobe dysfunction, visual memory disturbance and slight decrease in visuospatial function. All these neurological abnormalities that might occur due to glufosinate ammonium were almost improved in the follow-up test performed a month later.

        초등학교 국어교과서 시(詩)자료의 분석 연구

        국어과 교재시(敎材詩)로서 좋은 시를 고르는 일은 교과서 편성에서 대단히 중요한 일이다. 교재시가 교육적으로 유용한 시여야 하기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 제7차 초등학교 국어 교과서의 교재시 205편을 대상으로 하여 형태면, 내용면, 수사면에서 분석을 시도해 보았다. 형태면에서는 동시가 주류를 이루고 있으며, 마디율(foot)은 저학년에서, 자유시형은 고학년에서 주로 쓰였다. 형태면에서는 6차에 비해 여러 가지 변화된 모습을 볼 수 있었다. 내용 면에서는 제목, 주제, 분위기, 배경, 화자(話者) 등을 살펴보았다. 소재적 제목, 어린이 생활적 제재, 자연 친화적 주제, 밝은 분위기, 생활 공간의 근경(近景) 중심, 화제지향적 3인칭의 화자 등이 특징으로 나타났다. 제5차의 <상상→사생(寫生)>, 제6차의 <상상→생활>에 비해 제7차는 <서정→생활>의 추이를 보여 서정성에 지나치게 치우친 점이 문제로 보였다. 수사면에서는 소리·의미전이·문장구조·감정호소 등에 따라 살펴 보았다. 소리에 따른 수사법은 의태법(mimetic)·의성법(onomatopoeia)에, 의미전이에 따른 수사법은 은유법(metaphor)·직유법(simile)에, 문장구조에 따른 수사법은 반복법에 각각 치우쳐 있었다. 그리고 감정에 호소하는 수사법은 의문법, 문답법(interrogatory), 영탄법(exclamation) 순이었다. 이러한 초등학교 교재시 분석 연구가 시 지도는 물론, 앞으로 초등학교 교재시 선정에 있어서 참고자료가 되었으면 하는 마음이다. Selecting good poems as teaching materials to organize Korean Language textbook is very important since the poems must be educationally useful. This study analyzed 205 poems from Korean Language textbooks, which were developed for the 7th elementary school curriculum, according to their aspects of form, content, and figure of speech. In the aspect of form, most of the poems in textbooks are children's verse. The form of foot are used in the textbooks for lower grade but prose in higher grade textbooks. This aspect has been changed compared to the 6th curriculum. In the aspect of content, this study analyzed title, theme, atmosphere, background, and narrator. This study found some characteristics from the analysis such as titles from writing material, materials from children's daily life, pro-nature themes, cheerful atmosphere, close range view of living space, and the third person narrator pertinent to topic. The 7th curriculum tends to be focused on < lyric→daily life >, whereas the 5th was focused on < imagination→sketch > and the 6th was < imagination→daily life >. The trend of heavily relying on lyrics could be a problem on teaching poems in the elementary school. This study also analyzed the figure of speech according to its sound, meaning transfer, structure of sentence, and appealing to emotion. The figure of speech in sound tends to be mimetic and onomatopoeia, whereas metaphor and simile in meaning transfer, and repetition in sentence structure. This study also found that the figure of speech in terms of appealing to emotion tends to be questioning, and exclamation. This analytic study can be used for teachers not only to teach children poems but also to select poems for organizing elementary school textbook.

      • Benzotriazole계 유도체의 제초활성과 분자 설계

        Benzotriazole 유도체들의 정량적인 구조와 발아후 벼(Oryzae sativa L) 및 피(Echinochloa crus-galli)에 대한 생장저해 활성값(pI_50)사이의 관계들이 QSAR 방법으로 연구되었다. QSAR 분석에 의하면, 자유 라디칼 파라미터(E_R)가 매우 중요한 요소이었으며 pI_50 값은 파라치환기(X)의 E_R 파라미터에 대하여 포물선형의 관계를 나타내었다. (3)의 생장저해 활성은 (4)보다 우세하였으며 생장저해 활성이 가장 큰 화합물은 (3b)이었고 피의 생장저해 활성에 대한 E_R 파라미터의 적정값은 각각 E_R(3)=0.52와 E_R(4)=0.15이었다. 분자설계 결과, 치환기(X)가 전자 끌게이고 적정값 (0.52)와 E_R 파라미터를 가지는 분자가 가장 활성이 클 것으로 기대되었으며 Benzotriazole 유도체들의 생장저해 활성은 광합성반응(PS-II)에서 전자전달을 효과적으로 차단하는 결과로 믿어진다(1991년 9월 15일 접수, 1991년 9월 31일 수리). The relationships between the quantitative structure of benzotriazoles and their post-emergence growth inhibiting activity(pI_50) against Oryzae sativa L. and Echinochloa crus-galli were investigated using a generalized quantitative structure activity relationships(QSAR). According to the QSAR analysis, the free radical parameter (E_R) is a very important factor and the growth inhibiting activity values showed parabolic relation to E_R parameter of para-substituents(X). The activity of (3) was superior to those of (4) and (3b) is selected as the most highly effective compound. The optimal values of E_R parameter of the growth inhibiting activity aganist E. crus-galli are E_R(3)=0.52 and E_R(4)=0.15, respectively. From the result of molecular design, the substituents(X) of electron withdrawing properties and E_R parameter of optimal value(0.52) were most desirable for high activity of the benzotriazoles. And in view of this, benzotriazoles may also be effective in blocking the photosynthetic electron transfer.
