또래로봇을 활용한 정서 및 행동장애 위험아동의 사회적 기술 증진 프로그램의 효과

본 연구는 초등학교 4~6학년에 재학 중인 정서 및 행동장애 위험아동을 대상으로 또래로봇을 활용한 사회적 기술 증진 프로그램의 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 프로그램은 총 26회기로 구성되었으며 관찰법을 사용하여 사건표집법으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중재적용 후 아동 1명을 제외한 네 명의 아동들에게서 정적행동의 증가 및 부적행동의 감소를 확인할 수있었다. 둘째, 중재적용 후 참여아동들에게서 코멘트하기, 질문하기, 조정하기와 같은 정적 언어적 행동의 증가와 부정적 코멘트, 언어적 공격하기와 같은 부적 언어적 행동의 감소가 확인되었다. 셋째, 로봇활용 중재프로그램을 통해 아동들의 사회적 시도행동이 바람직한 방향으로 변화됨과 동시에 다른 아동들의 반응 유형에도 변화를 보였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 또래로봇을 활용한 사회적 기술 증진 프로그램이 정서 및 행동장애 위험아동들에게 학교생활에서의 또래관계 개선에 긍정적인영향을 줄 수 있다는 점이 시사되었다. This study explored the effects of a program using a telepresence robot for improving the social skills of children at risk for emotional behavioral disorders. The participants were five at-risk children in elementary grades four through six. This study consisted of 26 total sessions and the data were analyzed by event sampling and quantitative observation. The results were as follows. First, the results showed increased positive behaviors and reduced negative behaviors for all but one participant. Second, the increase positive linguistic behaviors included more commenting, asking, and adjusting, and the reduction of negative linguistic behaviors consisted of fewer negative comments and less verbal aggression by the participants. Third, children’s social behaviors were modified in a more desirable direction, and the types of reactions they received from the other children changed as well. These results suggest that a program using a telepresence robot may, in fact, improve social skills in order to promote positive peer relationships among children at risk for emotional behavioral disorders.
