미국 통계청 가구펄스조사 미시자료를 이용한 고로나19 백신 접종 의향 결정요인 분석 : 주택유형·점유형태 중심으로

본 연구는 주택의 특성과 코로나19 백신 접종 의향의 관계를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 자료인 가구 펄스조사(Household Pulse Survey)는 코로나19 팬데믹 시작부터 지금까지 미국 통계청에서 전국에 걸쳐 격주 간격으로 진행 중인 근실시간(Near Real-time) 설문조사이다. 본 연구는 가구펄스조사 미시자료와 주(State) 단위 지역자료를 결합하여 1 단계 개인·가구 수준과 2단계 지역 수준의 다층이항로짓모형을 구축하였다. 분석 결과, 다양한 인구학적·사회경제적·의료보건적 특성을 통제했음에도 불구하고 주택유형과 주택점유형태가 모두 코로나19 백신 불신과 유의미한 관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 이 같은 주택 특성 효과는 특정 집단과 특정 코로나19 팬데믹 여건 하에서 백신 불신을 더욱 강화시키는 것으로 도출되었다. 본 연구 결과의 함의는 코로나19 백신접종을 확대하고 백신 불신을 완화하는데 있어 개개인이 거주하는 주택의 특성이 중요한 역할을 할 수 있음을 시사한다. 아울러 코로나19 백신접종 교육과 캠페인 추진 시 코로나19 팬데믹 여건이 더욱 심화되고 있는 지역과 특정 집단에 이들 정책적 노력이 집중되어야할 필요가 있음을 뜻한다. This paper examines the relationship between housing characteristics and COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy by using the Household Pulse Survey, a national and near real-time data timely deployed by the U.S. Census Bureau. Controlling for the individual-level and state-level characteristics in addition to spatiotemporal effects, this paper finds that overall, renters are more hesitant than homeowners about receiving COVID-19 vaccines. Multifamily residents who often contact other residents are less hesitant than single-family residents about COVID-19 vaccinations. However, these housing effects are unequal among different demographic, socioeconomic, and medical groups and depending on regional COVID-19 conditions. For instance, findings demonstrate that renters are more likely to be hesitant about COVID-19 vaccines than homeowners when they are non-Hispanic black, low-income, and non-COVID-19 patients. Multifamily residents appear to be less hesitant about vaccinations when they reside in the region featured by rapidly increasing COVID-19 cases and expanding vaccine rollouts. These results suggest that it is critical to recognize the significant role of housing characteristics in determining individuals’ vaccine hesitancy. Vaccine programs and interventions should target those who report a higher level of vaccine hesitancy when living in specific housing conditions and regional contexts during the pandemic.
공학중심 Reading & Maker교육 프로그램 개발

제4차 산업혁명시대는 테크놀로지에 대한 기초소양을 바탕으로 창의적으로 문제를 해결할 수 있는 역량을 요구하고 있다. 이러한 역량은 SW교육 STEM융합교육과 연계된 메이커교육을 통해 신장시킬 수 있다. 한편 메이커교육에 앞서 선결되어져야 할 과제로는 테크놀로지 중심 접근보다는 교육방법적 접근이 필요하고 참여자의 흥미와 동기를 유발할 수 방안을 고려해야 한다는 것이다. 이러한 취지에서 본 연구는 예비교사를 대상으로 단순히 메이커 활동을 안내하기보다 흥미와 공감을 갖고 스스로 능동적인 메이커 활동에 참여할 수 있도록 공학중심 Reading & Maker 교육프로그램을 개발 및 적용하였다. 연구결과 프로그램 적용 후 메이커 인식조사 결과는 사전검사보다 통계상 유의미한 향상이 나타났다(p<.000). The fourth industrial revolution era calls for the ability to solve problems creatively based on basic literacy for technology. These capabilities can be enhanced through the maker education linked to SW education STEM convergence education. Meanwhile, one of the tasks that must be set prior to the maker education is to take an educational approach rather than a tech-centric approach and consider ways to stimulate interest and motivation of the participants. For this purpose, this study developed and applied an engineering-oriented Reading & Maker education program to prospective teachers so that they could participate in active making activities on their own with interest and sympathy rather than simply guiding maker activities. As a result of the study, the results of the maker education recognition survey after the application of the program showed a statistically significant improvement(p<.000).

Lots of methodologies have been developed to diagnose the faults in the gear system. Especially, fault diagnostics of planetary gears is widely investigated as the gears are usually exposed to harsh operating conditions such as heavy loads or high speed. However, previous studies are limited to diagnosis of the gears under stationary conditions with constant speed and constant loading conditions. In this study, therefore, we develop a methodology to diagnose the faults in the gear under non-stationary conditions. In the methodology, we exploit the vibration signals of the planetary gear. The wavelet transform was used for the vibrations signals to observe the non-stationary behaviors of the gears in time-frequency domain. Then, Gaussian process was used to observe and quantify the degree of fault severity of the vibrations signals in the time-frequency domain. The methodology was demonstrated by using two case studies: the analytical vibrations signals from a simulation and the vibration signals actually measured from a planetary gear in a real case. In the studies, vibrations signals in normal and faulty conditions are acquired and we quantify the degree of fault severity by using the methodology. From the case studies, we could conclude that the methodology could differentiate the faulty condition from the normal one.

This paper presents a comparison study between simulation and experiment for fault diagnostics of a spur gear. In simulation, fault diagnostics using transmission error (TE) was performed and concluded to be valid. In a real experiment, however, it is not as easy to detect faults of gears using TE as in simulation. In this paper, after seeding the various faults like tooth crack of different length, tooth breakage and spalling in test rig, TE was calculated. Then, several signal processing techniques were performed to overcome the limitations of an experiment in detecting the fault signals of TE. After signal processing, we could detect the various faults of spur gears and different amplitude of TE sparks from cracks of different length. Then we discussed the difference between simulation and experment.
