        적외선 체열 촬영을 이용한 중풍(中風) 편마비(片痲痺) 환자(患者)의 합곡혈(合谷穴) 일반 자침시(刺針時)와 심자시(深刺時) 피부온도변화(皮膚溫度變化) 관찰(觀察)

        Objective : This study designed to find out the effects of deep acupuncture in cerebrovascular hemiplegia. Methods : This study was performed on 30 patients with cerebrovascular hemiplegia to observe difference in temperature of skin surface between general acupuncture and deep acupuncture at Hapkok using digital infrared thermographic imaging(D.I.T.I.) Results : 1. Temperature of paralytic side is sigficantly higer $0.39{\pm}0.78^{\circ}C$ than that of contralateral side. 2. Thermal difference(${\Delta}T$) of paralytic side-contralateral side decreased $0.08{\pm}0.53^{\circ}C$ after general acupuncture, but there is no significant. $0.20{\pm}0.50^{\circ}C$ after deep acupuncture decreased significantly. So deep acupuncture is more effective than general acupuncture. 3. Thermal difference of paralytic side-paralytic side and contralateral side-contralateral side decreased significantly after acupuncture, and thermal difference of deep acupuncture on paralytic side-paralytic side decreased $0.42{\pm}1.07^{\circ}C$ more than that of general acupuncture. So deep acupuncture is more effective than general acupuncture. Conclusions: This study showed that deep acupuncture is more effective than general acupuncture In cerebrovascular hemiplegia, and further study is needed on clinical trials.

        천궁의 혈액순환과 항산화적 효과

        Ligusticum Chuanxiong and its components were reviewed in terms of pharmacodynamic mechanisms. Three components of about 40 chemical components in Chuanxiong tetramethylpyrazine, ferulinolol and Butylidenephthalide have mainly been studied for its pharmacodynamic mechanisms which are focused on the increase in blood flow and anti-oxidative stress. The mechanisms for the effects of Chuanxiong on the increase in blood flow can be summarized as four ways, 1) anti-coagulation 2) blocker of ${\beta}1$ adrenergic receptor 3) cellular control of Ca++ level 4) collagen synthesis. Chuanxiong also showed the effectiveness on free radical-induced injury. It seems that its effectiveness is also related to the mechanisms for the increase in blood flow.

      • mBHT의 랫드를 이용한 단회경구투여 독성시험

        Objectives: The study was designed to evaluate the single dose toxicity of modified Bo-yang-Hwan-o-Tang (mBHT) in Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. Methods: The mBHT was once administrated orally to both sexes of rats at dose 2,000 mg/kg body weight which are the recommended maximum limit dose for acute toxicity. We recorded clinical signs of toxicity, body weight, gross and histological changes in target organs for all rats. Results: Neither significant changes of body weight not death was observed during the observation period in mBHT-administrated rats. Neither significant toxic signs not histopathological changes were shown during the observation period. There were not observed significant gross abnormality between the control and mBHT-administrated rats. Conclusions: These results indicated that the toxicity of mBHT is greater than 2,000 mg/kg body weight in SD rats.

        숙지황(Rehmannia glutinosa)의 약리작용과 독성

        Objectives : Rehmannia glutinosa has been used extensively in Korean traditional medicine. Although thorough clinical trials are lacking, Various pharmacological actions for Rehmannia glutinosa has been identified newly using animal models. In addition, it was reported that reactive intermediates, potentially causing toxic effects, was isolated from one of components in Rehmannia glutinosa. In this article, it is purposed for explanation and introduction of new studies for Rehmannia glutinosa in terms of pharmacological action and toxicology. Methods : New studies for Rehmannia glutinosa were reviewed and summarized in terms of pharmacological action and toxicity. Results and Conclusions : Rhmannia glutinosa and its components including iridoids, saccharides, as well as amino acid, showed a variety of pharmacological actions on the blood system, immune system, endocrine system, cardiovascular system and the nervous system. In addition, it was identified that aucubin, one of major components of Rhmannia glutinosa was biotransformed to reactive intermediates by ${\beta}$-glycosidase and acid-hydrolysis, resulting in forming aucubigenin- albumin adduct. Even if a lot of new pharmacological actions has been identified, it should be considered for Rhmannia glutinosa to contain the material producing reactive intermediates which may induce the side effects.

        동물모델에서 cytokine 조율을 통한 한약의 항아토피피부염 효능과 임상적 응용에 대한 고찰

        Objectives : There is a pressing need to determine the clinical and scientific validity of herbal therapies for animal model with atopic dermatitis since some differences in systemic cytokine polarization between in animal model and in patients with atopic dermatitis has been reported. New studies for tang, medicinal herb itself or effective ingradients of medicinal herb showing anti-atopic dermatitis effectiveness are reviewed in terms of cytokine regulation. Methods : Those herbal therapies used to treat atopic dermatitis in animal model were introduced and the expression pattern of cytokine and the activity of mast cell were compared in both animal model and patients with atopic dermatitis. Results : In case of atopic dermatitis in human, there is a biphasic pattern of cytokine expression in atopic dermatitis, with acute skin inflammation associated with a predominance of IL-4 and IL-13 expression from Th2 cells, and chronic inflammation associated with increased IL-5 from Th2-cells and IFN-γ from Th1-cells. However, a pattern of cytokine expression in animal model with atopic dermatitis is not matched well to the biphasic pattern of cytokine expression in patients with atopic dermatitis. In addition, a kind of cytokine is different by animal model with atopic dermatitis. These differences would make herbal medicines, showing their effectiveness on atopic dermatitis, difficult to apply to patients with atopic dermatitis. Conclusion : The pattern of local cytokine expression plays an important role in modulating tissue inflammation, and in atopic dermatitis this pattern depends on the acuity or duration of the skin lesion. Thus, in order to develop medicinal herb itself or effective ingradients of medicinal herb showing anti-atopic dermatitis effectiveness, biphasic pattern of cytokine expression should be considered in animal model with atopic dermatitis.

        한약의 다양한 항암기전

        Objectives: Recently there have been encouraging results, from a western perspective, in the cancer research field regarding the anticancer effects of herbal medicine. This paper was aimed to review herbal medicine playing its anticancer role in terms of apoptosis, inflammation control, differentiation and telomerase. Methods: New studies for tang, medicinal herb itself or effective ingradients of medicinal herb showing anti-cancer effectiveness were reviewed and summarized in terms of pharmacological action. Results : Ethanol extracts of Spatholobus suberectus greatly inhibited cancer cell growth inducing cell apoptosis and cytotoxic effects. Scutellaria baicalensis may be responsible for its anticancer activity showing inhibition of PGE2 synthesis via suppression of COX-2 expression. Saikosaponins isolated from Bupleurum induced the differentiation of C6 glioma cells, cancer cells, into astrocytes, normal cells. Acetone extract of Bupleurum scorzonerifolium inhibited proliferation of human lung cancer cells via inducing apoptosis and suppressing telomerase activity. Conclusions: Herbal medicine inhibited cancer cell growth inducing cell apoptosis and cytotoxic effects. Inflammation persisting for a decade eventually elevates the risk of cancer sufficiently that it is discernible in case control epidemiological studies. Differentiation therapy is defined as a therapy to treat cancers by inducing differentiation of the stem cells. Telomerase expression is a hallmark of cancer. Nearly the complete spectrum of human tumors has been shown to be telomerase positive.

        틸트 로터형 항공기의 플랩퍼론 연결부에 대한 크리깅 기반 피로해석

        피로해석은 반복하중 하에서의 항공우주 구조물에 대한 구조적 파괴를 예방하기 위해 수행된다. 본 논문에서는 틸트로터형 무인 항공기에 대하여 피로수명에 대한 평가를 하였다. 먼저 틸트로터형 무언항공기의 기동에 맞는 하중 스펙트럼을 생성해 내었으며, F.C.L. 부품중 하나인 플랩퍼론 연결부위에 대하여 피로해석을 수행 하였다. 틸트로터형 무인항공기는 크게 두 가지 기동 형태로 나눌 수 있는데, 이 착륙시의 헬리콥터 형태와 순항시의 고정익 형태가 되겠다. 전체적인 피로하중 스펙트럼을 만들기 위해서 헬리콥터 형태에는 FELIX를, 고정익 형태에서는 TWIST를 사용하였다. 한편으로는, S-N 실험점이 해석에 사용될 때 재료수명의 전 영역에 대한 S-N 회귀식을 얻기 위하여 크리깅 메타 모델이 사용되었다. 그리고 최소 자승법을 이용한 이차 회귀식에 대한 S-N 커브 역시 생성하였다. 더욱이 이 커브들이 갖고 있는 정확도를 측정하기 위하여 결정 계수법을 사용하였다. 마지막으로는 플랩퍼론 연결 부위에 대한 피로수명 결과를 MSC. Fatigue와 비교하였다. The fatigue analysis is performed to avoid structural failure in aerospace structures under repeated loads. In this paper, the fatigue life is estimated for the design of tilt rotor UAV. First of all, the fatigue load spectrum for tilt rotor UAV is generated. Fatigue analysis is done for the flaperon joint which may have FCL(fracture critical location). Tilt rotor UAV operates at two modes: helicopter mode such as taking off and landing; fixed wing mode like cruising. To make overall fatigue load spectrum, FELIX is used for helicopter mode and TWIST is used for fixed wing mode. The other hand, the Kriging meta model is used to get S-N regression curve for whole range of material life when S-N test data are analyzed. And then, the second order of S-N curve is accomplished by the least square method. In addition, the coefficient of determination method is used to ensure how accuracy it has. Finally, the fatigue life of flaperon joint is compared with that obtained by MSC. Fatigue.

        Ti-Ni합금의 반복변형특성에 미치는 pre-strain의 효과

        In SMA(Shape Memory Alloy), the degradation by fatigue is one of the most important problems to be overcome, when SMA is used for robot-actuator materials.<br/> The actuator is operated repetitively for long time and its repeating operation develops the fatigue degradation of SMA. The fatigue degradation changes the transformation temperature and deformation behavior and results in inaccurate operation control of robot.<br/> Accordingly, the changing behavior of transformation temperature and deformation which results from repeating operation is to be investigated in advance and the scheme to resolve those problems have to be made for the design of actuator.<br/> In this paper, for the improvement of the fatigue degradation by repetive movement and better control of the correct movement by the stability of martensite transformation in the developement of Robots actuator, Pre-strain(0, 1.5, 5, 8%) are loaded in the specimens and fatigue testing were carried out by the method of heating and cooling in direct condition. From the results of these experiments, the effects on pre-strain which affect the transformation characteristic and fatigue degradation phenomena were correctly investigated

        알러지성 비염 한약제제 KOB의 랫드에서의 13주 반복 경구투여에 의한 독성 연구

        Objectives : To evaluate the safety of KOB, a polyherbal medicine for allergic rhinitis, we conducted a subchronic toxicology study, Methods : Dried extract of KOB(Lot. No. 11003, yield : 41.1%) was prepared from GLP company (Hanpoong Pharm & Food Co., Ltd). KOB was repeatedly administrated orally of male SD rats at daily dose levels of 500 (G2), 1250 (G3) and 5000 (G4) ㎎/㎏/day for 13 weeks. We recorded the clinical signs of toxicity, body weight, food intake/consumption, optometry, urine analysis, organ weights, hematology, and conducted serum biochemical analysis, necropsy, gross and histological changes in target organs of Sprague-Dawley rats, and clinical chemistry analysis, Results : Neither death nor any toxicological signs were obserbed in KOB at all doses of 500, 1250 and 5000 ㎎/㎏/day during the administration period for thirteen-week. Furthermore, there was no difference in body weight and food-take consumption, optometry, necropsy, organ weight, gross pathological findings, and urine analysis among the groups of rats treated with different doses of KOB, during at the observation period for thirteen-week. The hematological analysis and clinical blood chemistry data were revealed no toxic effects from repeated-dose administration of KOB in rats during the observation period, Conclusions : Based on these results, the no observable adverse effect level (NOAEL) of KOB was considered to be 5000 ㎎/㎏/day for male rats under these study conditions.

        형상기억합금의 反復變形特性과 疲勞現像에 관한 연구

        Recently, the robot actuator worked by the driving recovery-force of the thermo elastic martensitic transformation of shape memory alloys(SMA) has been studied. In general, such a SMA actuator necessitates a number of cyclic repeated motion, so that the investigation of gradual decrease of recovery force with repeated motion cycle as well as the prevention of such a degradation of shape memory effect(SME) are very important for the actual use of a robot actuator.<br/> However, such research and discussions about the degradation of SME are very few up to the present. Therefore, in this study, the characteristics of the cyclic deformation and degradation of SME of Ti-Ni alloy would be investigated and discussed in detail by current heat type fatigue tester, which is a newly designed fatigue tester by author.<br/> In addition, we will establish a new design concept for robot actuator from these result.
