Purpose: The purpose of this study was to apply laughter therapy to clinical practice and investigate its effects on patients’ anxiety and depression in order to increase the quality of nursing for patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Methods: The study was conducted based on the non-equivalent control group pretestposttest design. The participants include 20 patients with IBD in the control group and 17 in the experiment group. Data was collected from July 10th, 2011 to January 22nd, 2012. Laughter therapy was administered once a day for five consecutive days. Results: The anxiety score was significantly different between the two groups and indicates that laughter therapy is effective for reducing anxiety among patients with IBD. Futhermore, there were differences in the depression scores of the experiment group between the pre-test and post-test, but no significant differences were found between the two groups. Conclusion: The results show that laughter therapy was effective in reducing anxiety among patients with IBD but did not decrease depression directly. Considering that the experiment group had a bigger reduction rate in depression scores than the control group. However, it is expected that laughter therapy will serve as an emotional nursing intervention for patients with IBD.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the salt-related dietary behaviors according to the stage of change model in middle school students from the Gyeongsangbuk-do area. Data were collected from, a total of 253 male and 210 female middle school students through. Self-reporting questionnaire. By stage of salt-related dietary behaviors, the 'Pre-contemplation stage' was comprised of 57.3%, the 'Contemplation stage' of 12.2%, the 'Preparation stage' of 7.4% and the 'Action stage' of 23.2% of students. There were significant differences in the stage of change according to the experience with salt-related nutrition education (p<0.05), wherein differences according to gender and parent's education were not observed. In the salt-related dietary behaviors, there were significant differences according to gender (p<0.05), pocket money (p<0.01), and the stage of change (p<0.001). Males had higher salt-related dietary behavior scores than females, while students who had more pocket money also had higher scores, and the action group had lower scores than the other groups. Among the 10 items of salt-related dietary behaviors, only 4 showed above the average score (2.92/5.00), including behaviors of liking kimchi, completely consuming snacks and instant foods, and drinking the broth of soups. The salt-related dietary score of males was higher than females, while the action group's score was lower than the other stages.

스마트폰을 예술 표현도구로 사용한 예술에 관한 연구 -아이폰 드로잉을 중심으로-

Our society is turning into a world, in which it is hardly imaginable for people to live without computers or the internet. Therefore, and with the increasing demand for the instruments, which are capable of accessing the required information anywhere and anytime, the smart phone market is growing rapidly and now becoming a global trend. The iPhone, which is the byword in the world of smart phones, showed the greatest ripple effect throughout the popularization of the smart phones. Such influence has now reached the field of art and, iPhone has now become another meaningful tool of expression for the artist. This study focused on the field of art of using the smart phone as a tool of artistic expression and further examined actual cases of artists' creating their works with drawing applications of iPhone. Drawing applications are ranged from a simple and toy-like program to a professional one with precise drawing tools. The latter is mostly used by the artist and it includes various means of visual effects and many other convenient functions. The merits of the drawing application, that it allows drawing in a dark place and provides easy and various methods of drawing without the actual tools, such as drawing brushes or palettes, are good strengths of the applications as an artistic tool. In addition, so called the 'iPhone Art' has already entered into the art galleries. Many other communities and groups are steadily promoting the art works created from the iPhone applications. The continuous growth of smart phone market and emerging of tablet PC will expand the 'iPhone Art' into all other smart phones and further into all other portable touch screen-equipped instruments. However, the art work created from the smart phone applications, including the 'Drawing' of iPhone, is still in its infancy as it has been developed only for the last few years and therefore, to keep the continuous growth of the field of smartphone art and to suggest a new structure for it, progressive researches are required for further the embracement of this new field of art. 우리사회는 컴퓨터와 인터넷 없이는 생활하기 어려운 상황으로 변화하고 있다. 따라서 언제 어디서나 정보에 접근할 수 있는 기기에 사용자의 사용 욕구가 증대되면서 스마트폰 시장은 빠르게 성장하고 있으며, 스마트폰 대중화 시대를 맞이하고 있다. 스마트폰의 대명사라 불리는 아이폰은 지금의 스마트폰 대중화 시대를 맞이하기 까지 가장 큰 파급력을 보였다. 그 파급력은 예술 영역에까지 미쳐 아이폰은 예술가들에게 새로운 예술 표현도구로 탄생하게 되었다. 본 논문은 아이폰 드로잉의 사례를 중심으로 스마트폰을 예술 표현도구로 사용한 예술에 대하여 알아보는 연구로 아이폰 드로잉 어플리케이션과 활동 중인 작가들의 사례를 중심으로 살펴본다. 드로잉 어플리케이션에는 간단한 놀이 수준의 어플리케이션에서부터 전문가 수준의 드로잉이 가능한 어플리케이션까지 다양하게 존재한다. 예술가들은 주로 전문가 수준의 드로잉 어플리케이션을 사용하는데, 이들은 다양한 효과가 가능한 툴과, 작업에 편리한 여러 기능 등을 보유하고 있다. 예술가들은 어두운 곳에서도 그림을 그릴 수 있다는 점과 물감, 붓, 팔레트와 같은 도구가 없이 언제 어디서나 쉽게 작업할 수 있다는 점 등을 장점으로 꼽고 있다. 또한 이미 아이폰 예술은 갤러리로의 진출을 시작한 단계이며, 많은 커뮤니티와 단체들이 아이폰을 활용한 예술의 증진을 위해 꾸준히 활동 중이다. 계속되는 스마트폰 시장의 성장과 태블릿PC의 등장으로 아이폰 예술은 모든 스마트폰, 더 나아가 휴대용 터치스크린 기기로 확대될 것이다. 하지만 아이폰 드로잉을 포함한 스마트폰을 활용한 예술이 최근 몇 년 사이에 이루어진 만큼 아직 시작단계에 있어 이에 대한 관심이 큰 만큼 스마트폰 예술이 계속되고 자리 잡기 위해서는 스마트폰 예술의 수용방식에 대한 연구가 계속 되어 스마트폰 예술만을 위한 새로운 구조가 제안되어야만 할 것이다.

Relationship Quality and Recommendation Intention : Members and Non-members of a Luxury Hotel

This study aims to test the relationship between the mechanism of relationship quality components and recommendation intention in the hotel industry. That is the effect among components of relationship quality - satisfaction, trust, commitment, and recommendation intention within the member group and the non-member group. We conducted a survey of customers, both member and non-member, using food and beverage shops of luxury hotels in Busan by conducting a face-to-face questionnaire survey with the subjects. The results of this research are as follows. First, the causal effect among components of relationship quality indicates that the satisfaction affects trust positively, and that the trust affects commitment positively. Second, among the components of relationship quality, satisfaction and trust did not affect the performance variable (recommendation intention) directly, but commitment affected the recommendation intention positively. Third, in the structural relationship between components of relationship quality and recommendation intention, difference verification was performed to check the difference between member customers and non-member customers, and there was no difference between two groups. Through the results, we discuss the implications of the findings and the future research.
