Electrical behaviors of plasma-sprayed $Al_2O_3-TiO_2$ coatings have been investigated in terms of their $TiO_2$ content. On increasing the $TiO_2$ content from 6 to 30 wt%, the DC electrical conductivity increased by several orders of magnitude. From impedance spectroscopy analysis, the total conductivity of the grains and grain boundaries and their respective activation energies were determined without the electrode effects that could impede ionic transfer. An electron transference number was also estimated, ranging between 6.5% and 7.3% for 13 wt% $TiO_2$ and between 0.4% and 0.7% for 30 wt% $TiO_2$ in the coating. Because of the high electronic contribution to the total conductivity, the $Al_2O_3-TiO_2$ coating could be a new candidate material to obtain superior electrical conductivity as well as corrosion and wear resistances.

Purpose: To report a rare case of conjunctival myxoma. Case summary: A 40-year-old man presented with a nasal bulbar conjunctival mass in his left eye. The mass was a 12 mm×7 mm pinkish movable mass in the subconjunctival space. There was no pain and no tenderness. We diagnosed the case as lymphoma, and we performed excisional biopsy of the mass. Histopathologic examination revealed the tumor to be a myxoma. Conclusions: When a patient presents with a pinkish, less vessel-appearing, non-pigmented and movable mass of the conjunctiva, conjunctival myxoma should be considered as a possible diagnosis. Access networks connected in B3G networks provide its property network service. Hence, though mobile users may utilize only a network service from an access network, they can also use variety of network services from several access networks for their service satisfaction. To support heterogeneous changeable network service in access networks, the mobile terminal must implement heterogeneous system techniques so that it is able to change the network service by ISHO (Inter-System Handover) In this paper, we present the ISHO condition by the policy-based framework in B3G networks. Also, we propose an ISHO scheme to control network resources for the QoS management of a mobile session between UMTS and WLAN access networks. To support the QoS management, the proposed scheme is that it will be implemented before the resource exhaustion occurs to effect network performances.

세분화된 탐색 영역을 이용한 고속 전영역 움직임 예측 알고리즘

We propose the fast full search algorithm that reduces the computation of the block matching algorithm which is used for motion estimation of the video coding. Since the conventional spiral search method starts searching at the center of the search window and then moves search point to estimate the motion vector pixel by pixel, it is good for the slow motion pictures. However the proposed method is good for the fast and slow motion because it estimates the motion in the new search order after partitioning the search window. Also, when finding the motion vector, this paper presents the method that reduces the complexity by computing the matching error in the order which is determined by local image complexity. The proposed algorithm reduces the computation up to 99% for block matching error compared with the conventional spiral full search algorithm without any loss of image quality. 본 논문에서는 비디오 부호화의 움직임 예측에 사용되는 블록 정합 알고리즘의 계산량을 줄이는 고속 전영역 탐색 알고리즘을 제안한다. 블록 정합 알고리즘에서 사용되는 기존의 나선형 탐색 방법은 탐색 영역의 중심에서 시작하여 탐색 지점을 화소 단위로 이동하면서 움직임 예측을 수행하기 때문에 움직임이 적은 영상에 적합하다. 본 논문에서는 탐색 영역을 작은 영역으로 세분화한 후 각 영역을 새로운 탐색 순서에 따라 움직임 예측을 수행함으로써 움직임이 많은 영상을 효과적으로 탐색할 수 있다. 또한 움직임 벡터 판정시 영상의 복잡도에 따라 최적의 순서로 비용을 계산하여 복잡도를 줄이는 방법을 제안한다. 실험 결과에서 제안하는 알고리즘이 기존의 나선형 전역 탐색 방법에 비해 예측화질의 열화 없이 최대 99%까지 계산량을 감소시키는 것을 확인할 수 있다.
