Amongst society's transitional presuppositions towards the future, population aging is the most critical issue in Korea. Immediate attention to devise a countermove is required. One of the major trends appeared in retirement communities of advanced countries is social integration which has been considered as a promising future direction of elderly housing development. This study aims to find out social integration characteristics and to categorize local engagement types of recent retirement communities through the characteristics of sharing common facilities and programs. Data were collected through mainly web site and literature reviews. Contentent analysis technique was used. Ten CCRC cases were selected through web search using the major key words such as 'intergenerational'. As a result, community engagement types were classified into six categories by the degree of sharing both physical and program resources between the retirement community and local area. This type can be utilized to develop alternative housing and retirement community for the older adults as a new model which activates the resident and vitalizes the retirement community through local engagement by physical and social resources.

커피전문점 공간디자인 전략이 고객의 선택에 미치는 영향

Recently the coffee industries rapidly grow as people"s dietary life changes and quality of life improves. Proliferation of coffeehouses let people cognize them as cultural spaces not only mere spaces for drinking coffee beverages. Therefore, distinguished strategy for space design became the one of the most important factor for customers" decision-making. This study analysed the strategies for space design by the brands of coffeehouses, and focused on understanding how those strategies cognized by customers and how they affect customers" level of satisfaction and intention of revisitation. The result of analysis showed that the level of satisfaction was raised when customers cognized unique strategies by brands and the intention of revisitation was raised when the level of satisfaction and reflection of strategy were high. In other words, setting and applying unique strategies by brands are to raise up level of satisfaction and intention of revisitation. The result of study could be used for the basic data on designing coffeehouses attracting customers" revisitation. Also, it could be the basis for effective strategy for customers.

광범위 장절제술 후 발생한 Protein Energy Malnutrition

Protein energy malnutrition cocurs when inadequate protein and calories are ingested. PEM is not confined to children and is common in hospitalized patients. PEM is diegnosed by a weight loss and hypoalbuminemia. We report a case of PEM in a 27-year-old man after Whipples operation. He had brittle hair, loss on the scalp and brownish colored papules with desquamation on extrem ties. Also he had erosion and fissuring on the perioral area and beef tongue. Treatment with zinc sulfate, albumin and vitamin resulted in a good response. (Kor J Dermatol 1994; 32(1): 130-133)

We experienced a case of Krukenberg tumor arising from transverse colon in a teenager who complained acute abdominal pain, which was confirmed by postoperative pathologic study and initially misdiagnosed as ovarian cancer with a huge pelvic mass, and report with a brief review of literatures.

여성의 리더십역량이 직무 및 조직생활 만족, 경력경로 개발의지에 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 취업여성의 리더십역량과 조직생활만족, 경력경로개발의 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 선행연구를 토대로 가설 및 연구모형을 설정하고 이를 검증하기 위하여 취업중인 여성 250명을 표본으로 추출하여 그들의 리더십역량이 직무 및 조직생활만족과 경력경로 개발의지 및 그 활동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 실증조사를 수행하였다. 더불어 빈도분석, 기술통계 분석, 구조방정식모형구축 및 검증 등의 통계적 처리를 위하여 Spss15.0과 Amos7.0을 이용하였다. 연구의 주요 결과로서 여성의 리더십역량은 직무 및 조직생활만족과 경력경로 개발에 모두 긍정적인 영향을 주고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 특히, 여성의 경력경로개발의지를 촉진하는 데에는 직무 및 조직생활만족이 매개효과를 발휘하는 것으로 나타났다. This study on the (employment) women’s leadership competencies was tested with career paths development and job and organizational life satisfaction. The hypotheses and research model were set based on previous studies. To the total 250 samples(;employed and married women) were on survey about leadership competencies, career paths development, and job and organizational life satisfaction. And then, Frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, and structural equation modeling were carried out of the validity verification. Amos7.0 and Spss15.0 were used for statistical processing of results on surveys. One of the major results in this study, the (employment) women’s leadership competencies in both job and organizational life satisfaction and career paths development had positive influence. In particular, it was found that job and organizational life satisfaction was operated as a parameter into career paths development.

당송(唐宋)시기 동사 ‘료(了)`의 어법기능과 의미변화 연구 ― ≪근대한어어법자료휘편(近代漢語語法資料彙編)≫을 중심으로

This paper examined the grammatical functions and meanings of the verb ‘- le`, which has been written as ‘了`. In the Tang-Song Dynasties, ‘了` has appeared in three different structures as ‘V-le`, ‘V-O-le` and ‘V-le-O` sequences. At first, ‘了` was used as a verb meaning ‘to finish`. In the ‘V-le` and ‘V-le-O` sequences, it gradually became a resultative complement, which means ‘to complete`, but only when it appeared right after a verb, that had [+durative] feature. Furthermore, during the Song Dynasty, ‘了` in the ‘V-le-O` sequence began to appear in ancient literatures to mark the perfective aspect because of ‘generalization of meaning`. After the Song Dynasty, ‘了` in the ‘V-O-le` sequence started to appear right before the sentential-final element ‘也`, which could indicate the ‘anterior` meaning. Because of this ‘anterior` meaning of ‘也`, ‘-了也` also could be used as an anterior marker. As shown above, new meanings are continually emerging, but old ones are not easily discarded. Therefore, several meanings which had emerged from the same word, such as ‘了`, has remained to coexist. Because of this, in the present Mandarin, ‘了` has several different meanings such as ‘to finish`, ‘to complete`, and it also can be used as an ‘anterior marker` or a ‘perfective/simple past marker`. But it should be noted that it has been quite long time since the first two meanings of ‘了` had appeared, which leads to the fact that they are now used only in the special forms like ‘idioms` or ‘V-得/不-R` structures.

협동활동을 중심으로 한 인성교육활동이 유아의 조망수용능력과 정서지능에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate how the character education activity based on cooperative activity has an effect on the prospective taking and the emotional intelligence of young children. This study included 50 5-year-old young children and the prospective taking and the emotional intelligence were tested after the subjects performed the character education activity based on the art cooperative activities. The collected data was analyzed by t-test using SPSS 18.0 Statistics Program. The result of this study presented that the character education activity based on cooperative activities has an effect to improve the prospective taking and the emotional intelligence of young children.

경요골동맥 관상동맥 조영술을 시행하는 환자에서 요골동맥 사행성의 빈도 및 예측인자

목적: 경요골동맥 관상동맥조영술 시행시 요골동맥 사행성은 혈관 박리와 같은 중대한 혈관 합병증을 초래할 수 있지만 요골동맥 사행성을 시술 전에 예측할 수 있는 인자들은 아직 잘 알려져 있지 않다. 따라서 본 연구는 경요골동맥 관상동맥조영술을 시행할 환자들을 대상으로 요골동맥 사행성의 빈도 및 시술 전에 사행성을 예측할 수 있는 인자들을 확인하고자 하였다. 방법: 본 연구는 2004년 12월부터 2005년 6월까지 본원 순환기내과에 경요골동맥 관상동맥조영술 및 중재술을 시행받기 위하여 입원한 158명을 대상으로 하였다. 요골동맥 사행성을 요골동맥조영술로 평가하여 그 빈도를 확인하였다. 요골동맥 사행성을 예견할 수 있는 인자들은 사행성이 관찰되었던 환자군과 관찰되지 않았던 환자군에서 임상 및 시술에 관련된 특징들을 비교하여 분석하였다. 결과: 요골동맥조영술은 154명(97.5%)의 환자에서 시행하였고, 관상동맥조영술은 149명(94.3%)의 환자에서 성공적으로 시행할 수 있었다. 요골동맥 사행성의 빈도는 전체 환자의 22%에서 관찰되었고, 다변량 분석에서 요골동맥의 사행성을 예측할 수 있는 독립적인 인자들은 고령과 미니 유도철선의 진입장애 및 고혈압이었다. 결론: 경요골동맥 관상동맥조영술이 예정된 환자에서 시술 전에 요골동맥 사행성을 예측할 수 있는 인자들로는 고령과 미니 유도철선의 진입장애 및 고혈압 등이었다. 따라서 요골동맥 사행성이 있을 가능성이 높은 환자들은 관상동맥조영술 전에 요골동맥 사행성 유무를 확인하는 것이 안전한 시술을 위하여 필요하리라 생각된다. Background: It is well known that the presence of a tortuous radial artery, in patients undergoing transradial coronary angiography (CAG), may cause undesirable results such as access failure and arterial dissection. Thus, our aim was to investigate the prevalence and predictors of the presence of a tortuous radial artery in patients undergoing transradial CAG. Methods: We prospectively investigated the tortuosity of the radial artery in 158 consecutive patients. The tortuosity of the radial artery was determined by radial angiography. A tortuous radial artery was defined as one with a maximal angulation of more than 45 degrees. To determine the predictors of a tortuous artery, we examined clinical and intra- procedural characteristics. Results: A right radial angiography was easily performed in 154 patients (97.5%) without any complications. A tortuous radial artery was identified in 34 patients (22%). On the univariate analysis, advanced age, female gender, short stature, underweight, hypertension, and absence of progression of the mini-guide wire were significantly associated with the presence of a tortuous radial artery. Significant independent predictors of a tortuous radial artery by multivariate analysis were: advanced age, absence of progression of the mini-guide wire and hypertension. Conclusions: These data showed that the presence of a tortuous radial artery could be predicted by advanced age, absence of progression of the mini-guide wire and a history of hypertension. Thus, identification of a tortuous radial artery prior to coronary angiography may be helpful for a safe transradial CAG in patients at high risk for a tortuous radial artery.(Korean J Med 71:381-387, 2006)

자원봉사활동 지속의지에 영향을 미치는 자원봉사동기에 관한 연구
