PBL을 적용한 환경 수업이 중학생들의 환경에 대한 태도와 지역 생태 및 환경 문제의 관심도에 미치는 효과

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect on the middle school students' attitude toward environment and interest in regional ecology and environment problem with PBL. The experimental group was made up with 96 students who were sampled for this study, and PBL program was applied to this group. The controlled group consisted of 103 students who were sampled this study, and traditional teaching method was applied to this group. The result is as follows: First, there was a statistically meaningful difference in attitude toward environment between two groups(F=51.929, p<0.1). It shows that PBL is very effective in attitude toward environment. Second, there was a statistically meaningful difference in interest for regional ecology and environment problem between two groups(F=9.707, p<0.1). It shows that PBL is an effective way to take learners' interest in regional ecology and environment problem. Third, The interview result shows that students who were applied to PBL comprehensed causes, solution and importances of the environment problem, Furthermore, the self-directed learning in PBL can make learners control their learning.

Lymphangiomas are malformations of the lymphatic system accounting for approximately 5% of all benign tumors in infants and children. Abdominal lymphangiomas are rare, and can arise from either the retroperitoneum, gastrointestinal tract, or the mesentery of the abdominal viscera. Lymphangioma involving the whole mesentery is particularly rare. Most lymphangiomas are detected during infancy or childhood, but intraabdominal lymphangiomas such as mesentery are not found until adulthood. We report here on a patient with uncommon lymphangioma involving the whole mesentery who presented with fever and abdominal pain. This patient is unusual because he was confirmed through core needle biopsy which showed variable sized lymphatic spaces representing a immunoreactive for D2-40 antibody with involvement of the whole mesentery. No cases of mesenteric lymphangioma confirmed preoperatively have been previously reported in Korea.

Oxidation reactions of aniline derivatives with the use of NaOCl and CH_3CO_3H as oxidants were investigated and compared. It was found that 3- and 4-nitroanilines were oxidized to corresponding azobenzenes by NaOCl. On the other hand, azoxybenzenes were obtained in the reaction of 3- and 4-nitroanilines with CH_3CO_3H. 2-Nitroaniline was oxidized to benzofuroxan by NaOCl, while an unknown liquid product was formed by CH_3CO_3H. 4-Toluidine was oxidized to 4,4′-dimethylazobenzene with the use of CH_3CO_3H, but an unknown liquid product was formed by NaOCl. Benzamide was oxidized to N,N′-dibenzoylhydrazine and N-benzoylphenylhydrazine by NaOCl. Besides, p-toluenesulfonamide and benzenesulfonamide were unchanged by the two oxidants. The structures of all the products were identified by spectroscopic techniques such as IR, NMR and GC/MS.

N-Sulfinyl p-toluenesulfonamide, a reactive organic intermediate, was reacted with 4 kinds of acyl halides such as acetyl, 2-chloroacetyl-, 3-chloropropionyl-, and 4-chlorobutyrylchloride to give N-acyl p-toluenesulfonamide. A possible reaction pathway for the formation of N-acyl p-toluenesulfonamide is proposed.
