This study investigated retrospectively the correlation between the results of the N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) and a routine blood test using a hospital information system. The NT-proBNP is involved in the pathophysiology of heart failure. The results show that the relationship between age and NT-proBNP was significant (P<0.01) with a positive correlation (r=0.163). The peptide concentration showed a negative correlation between the total protein (r=-0.250) and albumin (r=-0.270), and a negative correlation between the erythrocyte count and hemoglobin and hematocrit (P<0.01). NT-proBNP had a positive correlation with neutrophils (r=0.227) and a negative correlation with lymphocytes (r=-0.236), showing significant results (P<0.01). NT-proBNP and creatinine showed a positive correlation (r=0.594, P<0.01), and it was the most influential factor according to multiple regression analysis (B=0.53, t=7.65). P<0.01). The concentrations of NT-proBNP and uric acid showed a positive correlation (r=0.180, P<0.05). Lactate dehydrogenase was observed as a factor affecting the NT-proBNP (B=0.20, t=3.28, P<0.01). This explanatory power had an influence of 43%. Therefore, the accurate test and related factors of the NT-proBNP have significant clinical value. 본 연구의 목적은 병원정보시스템을 활용하여 N-말단 프로-뇌 나트륨 이뇨 펩타이드(N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide, NT-proBNP)의 결과와 통상적인 혈액검사와의 상관성을 후향적으로 조사하는 것이다. NT-proBNP는 심부전의 병태 생리학에 관여한다. 본 연구결과는 연령과 NT-proBNP의 관계는 양의 상관관계(r=0.163)로 통계적으로 유의하였다(P<0.01). NT-proBNP 농도는 총 단백질(r=-0.250)과 알부민(r=-0.270)은 음의 상관관계, 적혈구수와 혈색소 그리고 적혈구 용적률은 음의 상관관계로 나타난 결과로 나타났다(P<0.01). NT-proBNP는 호중구와 양의 상관관계(r=0.227)와 림프구는 음의 상관관계(r=-0.236)로 통계적으로 유의한 결과가 나타났다(P<0.01). NT-proBNP와 크레아티닌은 양의 상관관계로 나타났으며(r=0.594, P<0.01), 다중회귀분석결과 가장 영향을 미치는 인자로 관찰되었다(B=0.53, t=7.65, P<0.01). NT-proBNP와 요산의 농도는 양의 상관관계로 유의한 관계를 나타냈다(r=0.180, P<0.05). 젖산탈수소효소가 NT-proBNP에 영향을 미치는 인자로 관찰되었다(B=0.20, t=3.28, P<0.01). 이러한 설명력은 43%의 영향력을 나타내어 NT-proBNP의 정확한 검사와 관련인자들은 심장표지자로서 임상적 가치가 있는 것으로 사료된다.

The adhesion performance of PCCs for crack repair of RC structures was greater in the case of using ultra high-early strength cement than in the case of using ordinary Portland cement, and the effect of mixing silica fume was higher in the case of ordinary Portland cement than that of ultra high-early strength cement. On the other hand, 130% of W/C was more fluid than 80% of W/C in the same P/C 80%, which increased the fillability and improved the strength, but the strength improvement effect was the greatest in adhesion in flexure. Through this study, the basic characteristics of the adhesion performance of PCCs were identified, and based on this, it is necessary to induce an optimal mixing design that can increase adhesion performance through various mixing designs.

Porcine proliferative enteritis (PPE) is a transmissible gastroenteric disease caused by Lawsonia intracellularis. Clinically, PPE causes hemorrhagic diarrhea and sometimes death in growing pigs, but when the disease progresses to a chronic phase, the infected pig no longer displays significant symptoms. The purpose of the present studies were carried out to determine L. intracellularis in the pig farms and slaughter house, in Gyeongnam area. A survey of proliferative enteritis in pig was conducted using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing method, total 1,495 samples. PCR products showed a specific band at the 210bp, 329bp in the specimens of feces and mucosal scraping. Of 420 fecal specimens, 113 (26.9%) were identified as positive to PPE. Of 1,075 mucosal scraping specimens, 109 (10.1%) were identified as positive to PPE. Of total 1,495 specimens, 222 (14.8%) were identified as positive to PPE.

The purpose of this study is to determine the viscosity of the polymer-cement composites(PCCs) for crack repair of RC structures and to investigate its compaction. According to the study on the viscosity and compaction property of PCCs for crack repair, the viscosity of PCCs varies greatly depending on the polymer type and polymer cement ratio, and by mixing silica fume into PCCs, appropriate viscosity and excellent flow can be controlled without separation of cement and water. As a result of this study, basic data on the viscosity, fluidity, and compaction properties of PCCs for crack repair of RC structure can be obtained.
경남 지역내 소 Neospora caninum에 대한 감염률 조사

This survey was carried out to investigate the seroprevalence of antibodies to Neospora caninum in Korean indigenous cattle that was raised in central area province Gyeongnam, Korea. A total of 719 sera were tested for N. caninum antibodies using ELISA (Herdcheck anti-Neospora, IDEXX Laboratories Inc., Westbrook, Maine USA). Seroprevalence of individual and farm were 29.8%(214/719) and 53.2%(50/94). Regional seropositive rates of the samples were 61%(47/77), 23.3%(7/30), 13.8%(49/355), 37.6%(77/205), 65.4%(34/52) at Changwon, Jinhae, Gimhae, Miryang, Yangsan, respectively. It showed difference at the age and on the herd size of farms. A herd of cattle above the age of 5 was more infective than under 4 years. And in seroprevalence by herd size farms having under 30 heads was top(35.7%). Seropositive 214 herds of N. caninum antibidies were tested for brucellosis by test tube. Positive rate of double infection was 16.4%(35/214).
균열보수용 폴리머 시멘트 복합체의 휨접착 성능에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the adhesion in flexure depending on the cement type, polymer type, polymer-cement ratio, and silica fume ratio of the polymer-cement composites(PCCs) for crack repair in RC structures to induce optimal mix proportions. The adhesion in flexure of PCCs for crack repair of RC structure has a significant effect on the polymer type and polymer-cement ratio, and the adhesion in flexure is generally improved with mixing of silica fume as a mixture. The adhesion in flexure according to the type of polymer is slightly higher in the order of SAE, EVA, and SBR, and it is relatively high at the polymer-cement ratio of 60% or 80%. In addition, the adhesion in flexure of PCCs with silica fume ratio of 10% or 20% to the cement weight is higher than that without silica fume. In order to improve the adhesion in flexure of PCCs for repairing cracks in RC structures, the optimal mix design is to properly adjust the cement type, polymer type, polymer-cement ratio, and silica fume ratio.

This study is a study on the flexural adhesion performance of polymer cement composites(PCCs) repair section according to the crack depth, and the flexural adhesion strength was obtained through a flexural strength test of cement mortar that was filled into cracks and repaired to a certain thickness using PCCs made of ultra high-early strength cement and polymer dispersion of EVA. As a result of the study, the flexural adhesion performance according to the crack width and crack depth was expected to decrease the flexural adhesion strength as the crack depth increased at the crack width 3.0mm, but the crack width 2.0mm and 1.5mm did not show any tendency according to the crack depth. In addition, even in the final destruction, the fact that the cracks and bottoms filled with PCCs were not cut or dropped proves that PCCs have excellent adhesion and rich toughness.
경남북부지역의 소 Neospora caninum 및 Toxoplasma gondii 항체 양성률 조사

In the present study, we carried out a seropositive survey of Neospora (N) caninum and Toxoplasma (T) gondii in cattle at northern area of Gyeongnam province, Korea. Serum sample was obtained from Holstein cattle (n=248, 44 farms in 5 counties) and Korean indigenous cattle (n=120, 23 farms in 4 counties). All 368 sera were tested for antibodies to N. caninum and T. gondii by an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Seropositive of N. caninum at farm and heads were 41.8% (28/67) and 12.8% (47/368), respectively. Twenty-five cattle (6.8%) were seropositive to T. gondii, and eighteen (26.9%) of 67 studied farms had cows seropositive to T. gondii. The seroprevalence of Holstein cattle was much higher than that of Korean indigenous cattle. There was no apparent association of T. gondii seropositivity with age, while the seropositivity for N. caninum was associated with cattle age. The farm of cattle above the age of 5 years (16.8%) was more infective than less than 4 years (9.3%). This is the first report on seroprevalence of N. canium and T. gondii in Holstein and Korean indigenous cattle in Gyeongnam, Korea.
