        2006~2010년 기간 동안 대한해협 서수도에서 관측된 해수 물성의 변동

        Seasonal to inter-annual variations of water properties in the western channel of the Korea Strait are investigated using quasi-monthly hydrographic observations collected during 2006-2010. Weak vertical temperature and salinity gradients are observed during the winter months and these remain until May. At the upper layer, temperature increases from March and reaches a maximum in August, while salinity decreases during the same period. Near-bottom water shows low temperatures during late winter and fall with a minimum peak in September. Korea Strait Bottom Cold Water produces thick layers (>20 m) in 2006 and 2010, while it is observed very near the bottom with relatively high temperature in 2008 and 2009.

        This paper analyzes the development of South Korea`s policy on North Korea over the past 16 years(1998-2013), examining how inter-Korean economic cooperation changed over different periods of time up to the conservative government. It also briefly assesses the current status of inter-Korean economic cooperation and discusses its future development. In addition, the paper argues as follows. The South Korea policy on North Korea consists of three parts: 1) the basic perceptions of the existing North Korea regime, 2) set of prioritized policy goals such as peace, coexistence and unification between the two Koreas and 3) various policy measures with the most important being inter-Korean economic cooperation. As a result, changes in the perceptions of the North Korea or in prioritizing policy goals on North Korea have had direct impacts on both the pattern and performance of inter-Korean economic cooperation and vice versa. It means that inter-Korean economic cooperation has been fundamentally driven by the South Korea government. For future development, however, this governmentled economic cooperation should be converted into a private sector-led initiative that can be relatively free from the changes in South Korea`s policy on the North Korea. This private sector-led economic cooperation will also allow the South Korea government to pursue its policy on North Korea in more efficient and rational ways.

      • Ecological Studies on Rice Sheath Blight Caused by Rhizoctonia solani II. Forecasting and Control of Rice Sheath Blight

        벼 잎집무늬마름병의 발생예찰방법을 개발하기 위하여 1976년부터 1981년까지 진흥과 유신을 공시하여 시험하였다. 그 결과 성숙기의 잎집무늬마름병 피해도는 7월중의 병반높이와 병반고율, 9월 11일의 병반지수에 의하여 추정할 수 있었다. 유신품종에 있어서 7월 11일의 최상위병반 높이와 성숙기의 피해도와는 관계는 $Y=4.64\chi-13.2,\;r=.840^{**}$이었다. 한편 약제방제시기와 회수시험결과는 잎집무늬마름병의 발병주율과 발병경율이 7월 11일에서 8월 1일 사이에 급격히 높아지는 사실과 7월중의 병반높이와 성숙기의 피해도와는 상관이 높은 것을 감안할 때 7월 15일과 7월 25일 또는 7월 25일과 8월 5일의 10일간격 2회방제가 가장 효과적이었다. To develop forecasting methods of rice sheath blight caused by Rhizoctonia solani, two rice cultivars Jinheung (Japonica type) and Yushin (Tongil type) were used from 1976 to 1981. Severity of rice sheath blight disease at maturing stage was estimated by top lesion height, percentage of top lesion height vs. plant height in July and lesion index on September 11. The relationship between top lesion height on July 11 and degree of damage at maturing stage for a cultivar Yushin was represented by the equation of Y=4.64x-13.2, and $r=.840^{**}$, where Y is degree of damage by shea4h blight at maturing stage and x is top lesion height on July 11. Considering the percentage of infected hills/stems was rapidly increased from July 11 to August 1, the most effective period and time for fungicide spray were considered July 15 and July 25 or July 25 and August 5.

        진흥(振興)과 유신(維新)을 공시(供試)하여 이앙시기(移秧時期), 재식밀도(栽植密度), 질소시비(窒素施肥) 수준(水準)과 벼잎집무늬마름병(病) 발생(發生)과의 관계(關係)를 검토(檢討) 하였다. 잎집무늬마름병(病) 발생(發生)은 5월(月) 26일(日) 이앙구(移秧區)보다 5월(月) 16일(日) 이앙구(移秧區)에서, $3.3m^2$ 당 100주(株) 재식구(栽植區)가 80주(株) 재식구(栽植區)보다 , 질소질배비구(室素質倍肥區)(진흥(振興) 220kg/ha, 유신(維新) 300kg/ha) 가 보비구(普肥區)에서보다 발병(發病)이 심(甚)하였다. 또한 생육기간중(生育期間中) 발병(發病)이 심(甚)했던 재배조건(栽培條件)에서 성숙기(成熟期)의 피해도(被害度)가 높았다. Transplanting date, planting space and nitrogen level were evaluated for disease development of rice sheath blight using two rice cultivars, Jinheung and Yushin. Sheath blight disease was more severe in early transplanting plot (May 16), narrow planting space($27{\times}12cm$) and high nitrogen level (220kg/ha for Jinheung and 300kg/ha for Yushin) conditions than in May 26 transplanting plot, wide planting space ($27{\times}15cm$) and standard nitrogen level (110kg/ha and l50kg/ha). At the same time, cultural conditions favorable for disease development during growth stage resulted in greater damage at maturing stage.

        Ecological Studies on Rice Sheath Blight Caused by Rhizoctonia solani IV. Inoculation Time of Sclerotium and Disease Development

        Rhizoctomia solani 자연균핵을 6월 15일부터 7월 15일까지 10일 간격으로 이천소재 병리시험포장에서 접종하였다. 이병경율, 병반높이, 병반고율은 후기접종구보다 조기접종구에서 높았다. 그러나 성숙기의 피해도 및 수량에 있어서는 접종시기간에 유의적인 차이가 인정되지 않았다. 이러한 결과는 같은 양의 전염원이 존재할 때에는 잎집무늬마름병 초기병반의 출현시기의 조만이 성숙기의 피해도에는 큰 영향을 미치지 않고 있음을 시사하고 있다. Natural sclerotia of Rhizoctonia solani causing rice sheath blight were inoculated at 10 day intervals from June 15 to July 15 in paddy field, Icheon, Korea. Percentage of infected stems, top lesion height and percentage of. lesion height vs. plant height were higher in the early inoculated plots than in the late inoculated ones. However, rio significant differences among inoculation dates of sclerotia were found on the basis of degree of damage at maturing stage and rice yield. These results suggest that the time of initial symptom appearance under the same inoculum potential may not affect the damage of rice plants by the fungus.
