Purpose: To evaluate the effects of conjugated hormone replacement therapy (HRT) on dry eye syndrome in postmenopausal women. Methods: Thirty-six healthy postmenopausal women (72 eyes) were included in this three- month prospective study. Schirmer test, tear film break-up time (BUT), fluorescein staining score and symptom score were performed on all patients at the time of enrollment, one month and three months after initiation of HRT. All patients received HRT consisting of conjugated estrogen and progesterone taken orally in a continuous combined regimen. Results: Symptom score significantly decreased from 2.10±0.79 before HRT to 1.32±0.84 after one month and to 0.88±0.67 after three months (p<0.001). In addition, tear film BUT measurements significantly increased from 6.04±2.54 seconds to 7.99±2.43 seconds after one month and to 8.93±2.20 after three months (p<0.001). The fluorescein staining score was 0.94±0.71 before HRT and decreased to 0.42±0.60 after one month and to 0.22±0.42 after three months (p<0.001). Conclusions: Hormone replacement therapy consisting of conjugated estrogen and progesterone significantly improved the symptoms and signs of dry eye syndrome in postmenopausal women. The aim of this study was to analysis the landscape equipments of 42 school gardens in Taejon metropolitan city. Outdoor educational landscape equipments were found out at 10 schools out of 42 schools. The materials of main entrance were consisted of steel and stone at 19 schools. The stands at front of the main ground were existed at 21 schools. The pergolas and benches were existed at 20 schools. The living material fences were found out at 21 schools. Plant nameplates were found out at 22 schools. But the contents of the nameplates were so poor. The wetland and roof garden of the school were not existed. School landscape equipments should be introduced by the distinction of elementary school, middle school, and high school as well as by the space of the school site.
용체화처리한 AZ91-X%Sn 마그네슘 합금의 부식 저항성 변화

The effects of Sn addition and solution treatment on corrosion behavior were studied in AZ91 magnesium casting alloy. The addition of 5%Sn contributed to the introduction of Mg2Sn phase, to the reduction in dendritic cell size and to the increase in the amount of secondary phases. After the solution treatment, trace amount of Al8Mn5 particles were observed in the α-(Mg) matrix for the AZ91 alloy, while Mg2Sn phase with high thermal stability was additionally found in the AZ91-5%Sn alloy. Before the solution treatment, the AZ91-5%Sn alloy had better corrosion resistance than the Sn-free alloy, which is caused by the enhanced barrier effect of the (β + Mg2Sn) phases formed more continuously along the dendritic cell boundaries. It is interesting to note that after the solution treatment, the corrosion rate of both alloys became increased, but the Sn-added alloy showed higher corrosion rate than the Sn-free alloy. The microstructural examination on the corroded surfaces revealed that the remaining Mg2Sn particles in the solution-treated AZ91-5%Sn alloy play a role in accelerating corrosion by galvanic coupling with the α-(Mg) matrix. Purpose: Facial palsy is one of the major disease that patients want to be treated by Korean medicine nowadays. Unfortunately, however, it is difficult to quantitatively measure symptoms of facial palsy. This study intends to measure facial movements and detect data through algorithms, compare and analyze them with the evaluation of Korean medicine doctors, and use them as basic data for application development. Methods and Results: This is a protocol for the study of 3D videography of facial movement and analyzing algorithms. A total of 50 eligible participants with facial palsy will be recruited from Dongguk University Bundang Hospital. The trial will include two steps of screening and assessment. All particiapants will be informed to answer basic facial palsy questionnaire and the facial disability index (FDI) questionnaire. Then, they will proceed with videography. Several Korean medicine doctors will evaluate participant's Housebrackman grade, Yanagihara score and Sunnybrook scale based on the video records. Also, through the recorded actual facial movements, algorithms will detect the datas. Finally it will be compared and analyzed with the evaluation of Korean medicine doctors. Conclusion: The result of this trial will provide a basis for the quantitative measurement of facial palsy, supplementing errors in existing facial paralysis diagnosis in clinical settings. 레스베라트롤 생산 GM벼가 곤충상 및 지표생물에 미치는 영향

매년 급속도로 발전하는 농업생명공학과 형질전환 농작물의 증가는 인간의 건강과 자연환경에 대한 깊은 관심을 초래하였고 이에 대한 환경위험 여부를 확인하기 위해 형질 전환 식물체의 안전성 평가가 필요불가결 하게 되었다. 이에 본 연구는 레스베라트롤 생산 GM벼(익산515호, 익산526호)와 대조품종(동진벼, 남평벼)이 논생태계에서 곤충상과 지표 생물에 미치는 영향을 조사하는데 목적이 있다. 형질전환 GM벼와 대조품종간의 차이를 비교하기 위하여 유전자변형 식물을 검정할 수 있는 시설이 갖추어진 벼 품종을 재배하였으며, 곤충의 발생량과 생존률 및 지표생물의 안전성을 조사 하였다. 벼멸구 성충의 생존률과 기주선호도 조사 결과, 4가지 벼 품종에서 유의성 있는 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 동시에 미꾸리이 이상행동, 유영저해정도 및 생존률과 왕우렁이의 이상행동, 무게 및 각고길이의 변화 또한 4가지 벼 품종에서 어떤 차이도 없는 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 레스베라트롤 생산 GM벼가 실험실과 포장조건에서 곤충다양성, 천적량 및 지표생물에 아무런 유해한 영향을 미칠만한 기작을 갖지 않는 것으로 판단된다 The fast-growing agricultural biotechnology and rapidly increasing global area of transgenic crops every year have caused concern about human health and natural environment. Thus, the establishment of various techniques for the environmental risk assessment is necessary for the evaluation of transgenic plants. The objective of this study was to evaluate resveratrol-producing GM rice varieties such as Iksan515 and Iksan526 and non-transgenic rice varieties such as Dongjin and Nampyeong on insects fauna including spiders and bio-indicators. To compare with transgenic rice with non-transgenic rice plants, we cultivated both rice varieties in the confined fields and surveyed the occurrence and survivals of the insects and bio-indicators. The biosafety on bio-indicators was also investigated. When survival rate, host preference and abnormal response of Nilaparvata lugens adults were studied, there was no significant difference among the four rice varieties investigated. At the same time, there was no significant difference in abnormal response, immobility and survival rate of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus as well as immobility, weight and shell height of Pomacea canaliculata among the four rice varieties investigated. Overall, the results in this study indicated that the transgenic rice plants did not exert any hazardous impacts on insect diversities, natural enemies, and bio-indicators in both of laboratory and natural conditions.

몇 몇의 암시적인 도상을 활용하여 긴장감 넘치는 서사를 구축해온 <드래곤볼>은 일본 근대사에 함축된 공동의 욕망 구조를 해석하기 적합한 만화 콘텐츠이다. 가령 인물의 원상태에서 초인으로의 변형 과정을 통한 지각 작용은 일본 근대 서사를 상징하는 메타포로서 탈식민주의 측면에서 중점적인 분석의 토대를 제공한다. 본 글은 손오공에게 순차적으로 발생하는 외형적 변화의 특성들을 사례로 제시하며 이미지가 지시하는 사회적 맥락과 잠재의식에 관해서 중점적으로 분석한다. 완전한 충족에 도달하지 못한 상징 기표들은 대중에게 익숙한 형태로 읽히지만 동시에 일시적이고 불완전한 형상으로 봉합되어 노출된다. 서양과 동양의 외형적 특성들이 교접하는 기호 형식의 층위에서 타자의 위치를 거부하고 새로운 주체성을 획득하려는 욕망은 외부의 신화적 요소들을 취합하며 재구성된다. 내면의 피지배적 구조는 적합한 상징을 포착하여 효과적인 외피로 응집되지만, 한편으로는 불안정한 잠재구조를 여과 없이 투사하는 형상으로 재현되며 은폐된 수동적 가학성을 노출한다. 이처럼 양가적인 감정을 초래하는 심층구조는 잠재된 소망을 현실의 기형적인 지시대상으로 치환한다. 억압된 의식구조는 원형을 초극하는 이미지를 재현하며 매 순간 분투한다. 강제적인 외세의 국호 개방으로 굴곡진 <드래곤볼>의 표상체계들을 훑으며 본 글은 비가시적 욕망의 양식과 기호들을 재추적하는 동시에 변형된 이미지가 지시하는 무의식적 지층을 밝히고자 한다. 또한 작품에서 재현되는 도상적인 상징들이 일본 내에서 폭넓은 공감대로 인지되는 데에 충족된 필요조건들을 나열하며 분석의 기틀을 제시할 것이다. 시대적 맥락에 따라 개념(concept)과 수용(conception)의 매개 관계로 파생되는 해석의 폭넓은 층위들을 연구하기 위함이다. The animation is the indisputable content that has been widely popularized and appreciated by a large number of people. Animation sometimes becomes the icon of the certain era when the population sympathize with the characters and the plot that stirs up their imagination. Animation image can be viewed as it meets the role of the media in order to speak for the unconscious desires of its society. However, the iconographic analysis of the comic images is an urgent task that needs to be examined. On the other hand, the concept and conception constantly change due to the context of the time. The postcolonial perspective on Dragon Ball criticizes and reveals a common appetite on the deep structure of Japan. In this paper, the purpose is to examine a potential image which indicates the layers of its unconsciousness. On behalf of Japanese comic industry, Dragon Ball is a significant content that provides the implied aspects of the common desire through a number of symbols, icons, and a dramatic narrative structure. In particular, the perception process that comes from the metamorphosis of the original character to the superhuman, functions as the metaphor for the self-awareness in modern Japan. The study is aiming to determine the invisible desire hailed as an icon of the metaphorical images. I hope the study would present a point of view to determine the post-colonial aspects of subject represented in Dragon Ball.

The influences of a small amount of CaO addition on the microstructure and corrosion behavior of AZ81 casting alloy have been investigated by means of optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, immersion and electrochemical tests. The added CaO led to the refinement of α-Mg grains and the decrease in β precipitate content by the formation of an Al2Ca phase. The AZ81-CaO alloy had a better corrosion resistance than the AZ81 alloy. The microstructural characterizationon the corroded surface revealed that the enhanced corrosion resistance of the CaO-containing alloy may well be ascribed to the increased barrier effect of precipitates formed more continuously along the grain boundaries and the incorporation of Al and Ca elements into the corrosion film, by which it became more protective.
