In this study, in order to develop low temperature sintering ceramics for ultrasonic vibrator application, PNW-PMN-PZT system ceramics were manufactured according to the amount of CaCO$_3$ addition, and their piezoelectric, dielectric and microstructural characteristics were investigated. The ceramic specimens could be sintered at sintering temperature below 1000 $^{\circ}C$ due to the effect of Li$_2$CO$_3$-CaCO$_3$ liquid phase produced by the reaction of Li$_2$CO$_3$ and CaCO$_3$. At 0.2 wt% Li$_2$CO$_3$ and 0.25 wt% CaCO$_3$ added specimen sintered at 920 $^{\circ}C$, the density, electromechanical coupling factor(k$_{p}$), mechanical quality factor(Q$_{m}$) and dielectric constant showed the optimal value of 7.78 g/㎤, 0.49, 1396, and 1300, respectively, for ultrasonic vibrator application.ion.

In this study, in order to develop low temperature sintering ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric actuator, $0.07Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-xPb(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-(0.93-x)Pb(Zr,Ti)O_3$ ceramics system were fabricated using $Li_2CO_3-Bi_2O_3-CuO$ sintering aids and the specimens were sintered at $930^{\circ}C$. Thereafter, their piezoelectric and dielectric characteristics were investigated according to the amount of PNN substitution. At 9 mol% PNN substitution, density, electromechanical coupling factor ($k_p$), dielectric constant, mechanical quality factor ($Q_m$) and piezoelectric constant ($d_{33}$) showed the optimum value of $7.86g/cm^3$, 0.60, 1640, 1323 and 387 pC/N, respectively. It is considered that these values are suitable for piezoelectric divece application such ad multilayer piezoelectric actuator and ultrasonic vibrator with pure Ag internal electrode.

In this study, in order to develop the low temperature sintering multilayer piezoelectric actuator, PMN-PNN-PZT system ceramics were manufactured and their microstructure, ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties were investigated. By increasing sintering temperature, remanent polarization$(P_r)$ was increased due to the increase of sinterability and grain size. However, coercive $field(E_c)$ showed an opposite tendency to remanent polarization owing to the feasibility of domain wall motion. At the sintering temperature of $900^{\circ}C$, dielectric $constant({\varepsilon}_r)$, electromechanical coupling $factor(k_p)$, piezoelectric $constant(d_{33})$ and mechanical quality $factor(Q_m)$ showed the optimal value of 1095, 0.60, 363 and 1055, respectively, for multilayer piezoelectric actuator application.

In this study, in order to develop low loss multilayer piezoelectric actuator, PZN-PZT ceramics were fabricated using $Li_2CO_3,\;Bi_2O_3$, CuO and ZnO as sintering aids, their structural, piezoelectric and dielectric characteristics were investigated according to the amount of ZnO addition, At the sintering temperature of $870^{\circ}C$, the density, electromechanical coupling factor(kp), mechanical quality factor(Qm), dielectric constant(${\epsilon}_r$) and piezoelectric constant($d_{33}$) of 0.4 wt% ZnO added specimen (sintered at $870^{\circ}C$) showed the optimum value of $7.812g/cm^3$, 0.535, 916, 1399, 335 pC/N respectively. Taking into consideration above piezoelectric properties of the specimen sintered at low temperature, it was concluded that PZN-PZT ceramics using 0.4 wt% ZnO as additive showed the optimum characteristics as the composition ceramics for low loss multilayer piezoelectric actuator application.

$Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_{0.07}(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_{0.10}(Zr_{0.5}Ti_{0.5})_{0.83}O_3$ composition ceramics with high piezoelectric properties were fabricated by the columbite precursor method for ultrasonic generators, and the effects of sintering temperature on microstructure and piezoelectric properties were systematically investigated. It was found that the tetragonality of the ceramics decreased with increase in sintering temperature. Moreover, excellent physical properties such as $d_{33}=447pC/N$, ${\varepsilon}_r=1,843$, $k_p=0.641$, and $Q_m=1,207$ were obtained for an ultrasonic generator when the second calcination temperature and sintering temperature were $720^{\circ}C$ and $920^{\circ}C$, respectively.

In this study, in order to improve the electrical properties of low temperature sintering piezoelectric ceramics, $[0.05Pb(Zn_{1/2}W_{1/2})-0.07Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})-0.088Pb(Zr_{0.48}Ti_{0.52})]O_3$(abbreviated as PZW-PMN-PZT) ceramic systems were fabricated using $Bi_2O_3$, CuO and $Li_2CO_3$ as sintering aids and then their piezoelectric and dielectric properties were investigated according to the amount of $Li_2CO_3$ and post-annealing process. Post-annealing process enhanced all physical properties except for mechanical quality factor (Qm). 0.2 wt% $Li_2CO_3$ added and post-annealed specimen showed the excellent values suitable for low loss piezoelectric actuator application as follow: the density = 7.86 $g/cm^3$ electromechanical coupling factor (kp) = 0.575, piezoelectric constant $d_{33}$ = 370 pC/N, dielectric constant ($\varepsilon_r$) = 1546, and mechanical quality factor (Qm) = 1161, respectively.

In this study, in order to develop multilayer ceramics vibrator for ultrasonic nozzle, PMN-PNN-PZT ceramics were fabricated using $Li_{2}CO_{3}-Na_{2}_CO_{3}$ as sintering aids and their piezoelectric and dielectric characteristics were investigated according to the amount of PbO. With increasing PbO contents, secondary phases were increased and phase structure was changed from tetragonal structure to rhombohedral structure and also electromechanical coupling factor was linearly decreased. At the composition ceramics with the sintering temperature of $870^{\circ}C$ and 1 mol% excess PbO, density, electromechanical coupling factor, dielectric constant, piezoelectric d constant and mechanical quality factor showed the optimum value of $7.879\;g/cm^{3}$, 0.55, 1149, 328 pC/N, 1224, respectively for multilayer ceramics vibrator application for ultrasonic nozzle.
저온에서 소결된 Ba(Ti<sub>0.9</sub>Zr<sub>0.1</sub>)O<sub>3</sub> 세라믹스의 유전 특성 및 전기 열량 효과

In this study, in order to develop composition ceramics for refrigeration device application, $Ba(Ti_{0.9}Zr_{0.1})O_3$ composition was fabricated using conventional solid-state method. Electrocaloric effect of this ceramic was investigated using the characteristics of P-E hysteresis loops at wide temperature range from room temperature to $150^{\circ}C$. Curie temperature of $Ba(Ti_{0.9}Zr_{0.1})O_3$ ceramics showed $80^{\circ}C$. The maximum value of ${\Delta}T=0.12^{\circ}C$ in ambient temperature of $115^{\circ}C$ under 30 kV/cm was appeared. It is concluded that $Ba(Ti_{0.9}Zr_{0.1})O_3$ ceramics can be applied as refrigeration device application.

In this study, in order to develop low temperature sintering ceramics for thickness vibration mode multilayer piezoelectric transformer, $PbTiO_3$ system ceramics were fabricated using $Na_2CO_3,\;Li_2CO_3,\;MnO_2\;and\;Bi_2O_3$ as sintering aids and their dielectric and piezoeletric properties were investigated according to the amount of $Bi_2O_3$ addition. At the sintering temperature of $900^{\circ}C\;and\;Bi_2O_3$ addition of 0.1 wt%, density, grain size, thickness vibration mode eletromechanical coupling factor($k_t$), thickness vibration mode mechanical quality factor($Q_{mt}$) and dielecteic constant(${\varepsilon}_r$) showed the optimum value of $6.94g/cm^3,\;2.413{\mu}m$, 0.497, 3,162 and 209, respectively, for thickness vibration mode multilayer piezoelectric transformer application.

In this study, a low temperature sintering multilayer piezoelectric transformer for a DC-DC converter was manufactured using $(Pb,Ca,Sr,)(Ti,Mn,Sb)O_3$ ceramics. Its electrical properties were investigated according to the variation in frequency and load resistance. The voltage step-up ratio of the multilayer piezoelectric transformer showed a maximum value at a resonant frequency of input part and increased with an increase of load resistance. The efficiency of the multilayer piezoelectric transformer showed the highest value at a load resistance of 17 $\Omega$. The output power was increased with increasing input voltage. Temperature increase of the multilayer piezoelectric transformer was increased with the increase of output power. At the load resistance of 17 $\Omega$, the multilayer piezoelectric transformer showed the temperature rises of about $20^{\circ}C$ at the output power of 18 W, and stable driving characteristics.
